So the statues placed to bring peace, safety and good luck to the town are no longer there in the present day because that's where the metro station is now. Considering everything Lan's had to deal with in this series, maybe they should have been left where they were lol
Why would Lan think Higsby Joined Nebula for dark chips? Doesn't he remember how Higsby acted when he found out Lan had one? He told Lan to get rid of it, and he's an Otaku for any kind of rare chip; If Higsby doesn't want anything to do with them, than you KNOW they're bad news.
There was a story about fancy advanced refrigerators and other stuff that were connected to the net actually blue screening one time a while back, and people were making battle network references and jokes which was great
OMG He’s still making these BN part Videos?! I remember back in 2017 and 18 watching his BN 3 and 4 videos and I thought he’s already with battle network series and I can’t believe he’s still making them even today
One project of yours that I will be looking forward to seeing again in the future is your World Of Horror run when you get to one of the new Old Gods you haven't seen yet. The best way one can describe said Old God: You actually may not have been far off when you called Mamoru's greatest feat 'Truly the music of the gods!'...
Getting down to net business! 4:12 - 4:16 - I'm more of a Ninja type of guy. 15:21 - 15:31 - Gow: I heard that! 23:24 - 24:16 - NumberMan?! Why I... *Goes into Donald Duck rage mode* Seriously though... My gut's telling me something just doesn't add up here.
I know we're supposed to just forget BN4, but the enemy HeelNavis were a nice touch and should have stuck around, instead of the Nebula mooks just vanishing into thin air after fighting unrelated viruses
1. Yuichiro didn’t build the replica. 2. It’s one of the oldest places on the Net, it makes sense some Data corruption and malware would seep in eventually.
Playing this for the first time. This part was so cool, but not knowing the lore made it more confusing. But still cool to see the real world and the net crossover
0:27 I vaguely remember this area being a pain, and I only read a forum Let's Play of this game DECADES ago! I would've expected a bunch of Swordys in the samurai comp. It's been a while, so I forget if they're in this game. 11:40 THIS is the part! I've been waiting for this! So there's a TV Trope "Flashback With The Other Darrin", where an actor is replaced, then a flashback occurs using the new actor for the character. Battle Network 5 somehow manages to do this with a TOWN. ACDC Town's layout was revamped in BN4, but BN5's digital re-creation of how it looked in the past... still uses the BN4 layout. I guess BN1-3 ACDC Town was an "artist's interpretation" that's no longer canon?? 12:13 lol I forgot Mayl's last name was Sakurai. MegaMan.exe in Smash when!? Hmm... this digital town is full of HolyPanels. That can't mean it's important. At all.
I'm on the edge of my seat. There's no way NumberMan is actually a member of Nebula. We've never seen him and Higsby together to confirm the story! And Higsby HATES Dark Chips! What's going on? Find out next time!
I know that the reason they changed the art style was to decrease the memory space that the graphics took in the first three games. See, Battle Network games were made on very small cartridges because GBA game prices in Japan back then varied depending on the cartridge's size, and Capcom wanted young kids to be able to afford the games. This worked fine when the games were simple like BN1 and BN2, but as the team got more experienced and ambitious, the tiny memory size started causing problems. It's the whole reason why international versions had increasingly missing content - the games were already using up most of the cartridges' space as is. As for redesigning ACDC, I can only assume it was also to save on space by simplifying the layout and getting rid of the school since you no longer visit it.
wow, I don't think kid me would have figured out a puzzle like this if I played the game. Kid me could barely read let alone decipher riddles like these
I remember they had a screenshot of Megaman in the vision burst on the back of the box for the game and I was so psyched cause I thought it was gonna be them putting cross fusion into the games
There sure are a lot of hidden jack ins. Maybe its like an intentional pun Honestly I forgor so much about this game, all these hidden jacks could be anywhere Somehow I never thought that "gargoyle" might be a localization thing. Like they look like fish, or something like that. Also you would think someone would have inspected the statue at some point, like, I dunno? Maybe its just handwave plot convenience Maybe I'm the one thats confused. Anyway. Like, i was just thinking, acdc area looks different in every single game, so those instructions would only have worked in this layout So yeah surprise numberman
wait...is this all optional or mandatory content? how on earth were kids pre-wiki days on every single game that exists able to figure these riddles out?
If I recall this is mandatory. But I brute forced all of this to the point that I didn't even realize the first part was even a puzzle. I might of happened upon all of these by just natural exploring.
lol it’s mandatory, honesty the one to find the Vision Burst was easy but the one telling us to use the doghouse was kinda hard, these riddles weren’t too crazy even as a kid, what was hard was the Pokemon Ruby Sapphire and Emerald riddle for the Regis, you had to figure out a whole different language, ironically it was Braille which is meant for the visually impaired and you used it to solve a puzzle on a screen😂
"A doooog!" Man, callbacks and running gags are always fun.

He told Lan to get rid of it, and he's an Otaku for any kind of rare chip;
If Higsby doesn't want anything to do with them, than you KNOW they're bad news.
Probably because of NumberMan proclaiming the power of Dark Chips and his love of it.
Every time I see a story about how refrigerators or medical implants are connected to the internet I think of this series.
There was a story about fancy advanced refrigerators and other stuff that were connected to the net actually blue screening one time a while back, and people were making battle network references and jokes which was great
@@HowlingOneify Exactly, like did we learn nothing from this series!
This is why the series stopped at 6; they let you jack into the toilet, and they knew they had gone too far.
@@randomamerican1im sorry what
@@Gamesmarts194 Yep, its true
And also, Plunger program
Roller-skating on the roof, Lan sure is brave.
"A Dog! And omg the PLOT TWIST!!
I love how there's a section dedicated to Ninja and Samurai stuff and Shadow Man doesn't get involved at all.
4:03 So I guess you'd call that a Samurai Jack(-in)?
sure is lucky all these clues still work 50 years later nothing has changed in the real world
Gow the dog, since Rush was delegated to that "mole" virus back in BN2 and in the anime

And sometimes beating the viruses apparently makes the mook go boom despite you didn't put a finger on them.
I'm surprised they dont mention the end of Battle Network 3 where they go to old Sci Lab from inside of Alpha
You are making a good amount of progress! Keep up the good work brother! 👊
Man Lan's father really couldn't keep viruses out of the virtual ACDC Town?

It's a nice touch that the Overworld Panic music plays in the VisionBurst, even though it IS on the net.
Holy wow I never actually paid attention to that. That’s a really nice subtle detail!
Always thought the Holy Panels in the time replica were a nice touch.

Gow or rather Gao is the Japanese onomatopoeia for a lion’s roar. They named the dog “roar”.
The encounter rate is about 25% too high. Or like 50%. We could really use a subchip that just supercharges the encounter rate for grinds.
Well, Higsby IS an ex-WWW member, so him joining up with Nebula... Well, it's not outside the realm of possibility.
Well, hey, there's one part of this replica that's accurate to the modern day... The part where it gets cloaked in permanent panic music. ;p

Wouldn’t it be more Onimusha since it was made capcom XP
lan your to young to be jacking into an old samurai
One way this game irks me is how much it overuses the boss battle theme. It really cheapens its effect.
