Geoff learned to play the harmonica when he played one of the Blues Brothers some years ago. The numbers on his shirts have meaning. :)
Technically, not acapella. Geoff says when he wants to do acapella, he does it with Voiceplay. He does all of the instrumentation. He plays the piano and harmonica, everything else is done with plug ins.
I'm so glad he included the scat in Don't Mess Around With Jim.
Loved your analogy of him using his voice for good instead of evil, although you did react to Voiceplay's very villainous Hellfire!
When he did Folsom Prison Blues, there was no air conditioning in that prison. He and Kathy were the only ones there with a large fan to keep them from melting.
The editing on Ghostriders drove him crazy. It took forever and it was the first time he was making himself transparent....

Jim Croce was a master at writing story-telling songs...Operator is one his very best...so poignant.
I have been a major Jim Croce fan since the 70's. I honestly was not sure how I felt about this extremely different take on this song. It took me three tries to actually listen all the way through. Now, I love it. It is definitely not Croce's version, but it has its merits.

Ghost Riders is one of my all time Geoff favorites, not just because it was the introduction of Daryl (in the duster) as the fourth clone, joining Jeff, Jeoph, and Goff.
The sequel of sorts is Unshaken. Geoff let the clones sing without him. ;-) Highly recommend it.
