Dirt Bike Mecca: The Best of Glasshouse Mountains - MVDBR Enduro

- Four thumpers and one tinger head out of the Mary Valley & dive deep into Glasshouse terrain to find the best hill climbs and single track. Of course carnage ensues. Join Josh (500EXC), Emmsy (TE450), Roy (FE390), Jamie (300EXC), & Craig (CRF450X) on this epic 120km journey. We hit Hilton's, Fridge Hill, Tower Hill, Rollercoaster, and have a look at the big bad mother: Widow Maker. Emmsy rides it out with what turned out to be broken ribs from a crash early in the ride. I've never seen so many bike flips in one day. We were all very sore by the end of this one, a sure sign of a fkn great day. Many thanks to Craig for the extra GoPro footage and to Emmsy for leading the shenanigans.

Great second time around still
Haha thanks for watching again mate 😎
Sorry guys had to re-upload this due to technical issues! Sorry for the inconvenience :(
Was it something to do with my comment about Emmsy being an animal?!
😅 yeah mate wtf were ya thinking
@@MVDBR I dunno all ya damn rules!! hahaha
No worries, mate! I'll watch it again.
Glasshouse looks like a fun place to ride.
👍👽
Such an EPIC place to ride down there👌
Best terrain around 👌
Technical stuff down there! The hills aren't massive but fricken feck they're tough. Good riding lads. 👍
Yeah real technical stuff, love it! Thanks bruz 👌
Now I want mates like these!
That looked like way too much fun, emmsey still killed it after leaving a few ribs up in the hills, awesome vid bring on tbe weekend so i can ride again 😎👍
Cheers ears 🤙
Some rough hill there 😮😳 Emmsey is pretty tough i would have sooked and went home😢

Me too Jeff getting soft in me old age 😁 thanks mate yeah long slow recovery for Nat 😫

Yeah poor bloke, hectic. Tough nut for sure 😎 Thanks for the comment
Legend riding around with broken rips.
Unstoppable :)
Bloody awesomeness again!!!
Cheers DMC 😎 Glassy is pretty rad
Insane! I love watching some of this older stuff.
Awesome tracks. Memories more than 20 years ago Watangan mountains😊
amazing & extraordinary ramp crazy as well as dangerous, successful for all and be careful driving
I honestly didn’t realize there were so many dirt bike tracks out there. And so many awesome single trails
Oh yeah, there's heaps. Get on it before they lock it up 😵
Shit! I've been of the bike for a spell after blowing out my ACL. Glasshouse was my favorite place to ride but it looks really cut up since I last rode. Tower hill used to be easy, even for me! Looks like I'll have to head further north to find something easier on my old knees. Great vid, mend well soon Emmsy
Thanks for commenting mate hope the knee is better soon 🤟
This is the stuff I wish I had near me! Looks incredibly fun
It's a great area to ride 👌
First and Great Vid
Thanks! 😎
Looks like an amazing place to ride, reminds me when I used to ride in alaska.
great track .. heap off fun
Tracks look mint I need to hit these sometime
You guys are the best of the best backwards riders! Better than Mater from the Cars movie
Haha yeah thanks. Pity we suck at going forwards
Hello Josh, first time I have watched this, bloody amazing David...Adelaide...Tiger 900GT
That's an old one mate! Was a great day though, good to have these memories of it 👌
Mate I'm going on a road trip. What amazing tracks
Awesome video. Im fairly new and locla to this. Ive never got up widow maker, did tower hill, done the roller coaster, dales twist, but i have bo ckue where fridge hill or hiltons hill is.
300 exc loves it out there
Mate widowmaker is a hill i will never do and 2 of you guys thought oh yeh i will have a crack . NUTS NUTS NUTS ..The trails and single tracks at the glasshouse have definitely grown since COVID has shut down organised trail rides , So everyone is going bush themselves and the new stuff is like wow , there are some serious hardcore enduro nutters out there to make such insanely crazy lines . glassie never disappoints ,, could you do one on belthorpe IE beacon rd and the welcome to hell hill , love your stuff bloke
Thanks for watching mate we did do a ride down Bellthorpe but that was a couple of years ago so the video is probably pretty dodgy: ruclips.net/video/6yCJ8gu3MjM/видео.html We don't get down that way very often tho.
@@MVDBR You don't need registered bike to ride up there? My DRz 400 has no rego at the moment and I'd love to take it up there for a ride.
Risky at Glasshouse with no rego mate, cops do get out there a fair bit and you've got to be licensed and rego'd.
@@MVDBR my back yard, and yes they do checks out there alright, been stopped before but all good👍
Jarvis bay lake conjola ulladala all these areas are also open land old logging tracks go forever into the bush awsome places down south coast
Interesting disclaimer at the start.
Thanks 🤔
Good fun
👍
samme!
??? What happend
Sorry mate technical issues 🤨 You're not seeing double!
It’s mental there I’ve been there on a 150 and I’m telling u it’s mental
I just moved to a 150r and Dam I went through some of those tracks and didn't even get grip
Hi mate, i am from Sydney, thinking of doing the tracks there, just started riding dirt bikes not long ago. Keen to explore new tracks. Just wonder if a klx230 or wr 250r will make the tracks? Love the ruts and hills climb (maybe I will change my mind when I am on the track 🤣)
I think the bikes will be fine, what matters more is the rider skill 😁
I'm riding out there atm on my DR650 getting ride fit for a Cape trip in October 2021. Every ride out there is different.
Did you try widow maker on the DR?
@@MVDBRNo I'm a noob on the off road stuff. Widow maker makes me pee myself.
We are riding through glasshouse mountains tomorrow. Came here for inspiration and came away a bit intimidated!! Any tasks you would recommend for South to North travel for 2 heavy laden adventure bikes?
Eh sorry guys maybe a bit late seeing this but sadly I can't help anyway, have only ridden Glassy 2 or 3 times and always been following others. A gpx of this ride would be the best I could do but I don't know if I'd attempt most of this stuff on a loaded DR 😬
@@MVDBR no worries - at the last minute we ended up changing our plans anyway to do something completely different. We waved to you guys as we passed the Mary Valley turnoff - beautiful looking country near you (even from the motorway)
@@RidingOnEggshells haha good stuff, safe travels!
The best dirt bike tracks are in / around Queenstown on Tasmania's West Coast. There are hundreds of tracks with every type of terrain, definitely worth checking it out.
Jeez louise broken wibs...get well m8
Won't take the maddog long to get back out there thanks for watching man
Wicked Radical trails, no way is hopper going to see this video, I dont him to get any ideas..😅😂😅
Hopper can do anything 💪
@@MVDBR 😅😂😅😂
Nice
Video camera doesn't do any of those hill justice, probably are a lot steeper than it looks judging by some of the flips
Do you have a map for this? Been to glassys few times and haven't seen all of these
Nah sorry, it's all in the Emmsy's head 👌
There's some pretty serious trail erosion going on there. Don't laugh, but when it's that bad I build a single track bypass nearby. Let the 4-wheelers enjoy the deep ruts they made.
We like a challenge :)
@@MVDBR We just went through 4 days of heavy rain here. Trying to get the mates together for a ride tomorrow. It's going to be cold mud type carnage.
It hasn't rained in Australia in 7 years, bit jealous. Enjoy and let's see some GoPro footage 😬
@@MVDBR What you're going to see is my lame riding! When it gets cold and rainy I ride a lot less and hike more and spend time carrying the chainsaw and shovel all over creation. Unfortunately this doesn't help the riding skills :(
Keeping fit is a big part of it!
👍
do the bikes have to have rego? no number plates of some of those bikes
Yes we have to have rego and yes we have rego, some of us choose to carry our plates in our backpacks otherwise they get damaged 👍
Ahh righto do you ever see any cops on the tracks
Nah not really
where abouts is this in the glassy i ride all around the place but this looks better then what i have found
Ah not sure how to find this stuff mate we just follow the main man Emmsy
Beerburrum
@@laddishlad9399 yea, i found so many more tracks... try out widow maker
@@yzbanger7180 is that in Aus
@@yzbanger7180 bro thanks man me and my family wants to go riding somewhere good
Which part is this around??
Pretty much all over, from Peachester to Beerburrum 🤘
Nice, I noticed beginners carpark and that first left off the bitumen but didn't recognise the trails, nice. .ore to discover haha
Yeah this video was 4 years ago, I think maybe a couple of small parts in this have been closed off now but most of it should be still rideable
What’s the name of the hill at 16:54?
That's the chicken track beside Big Red
Plowing through that pristine wilderness in your gas guzzling monstrosities!
.
.
.
I want in!
I tried this in my smart car, but I didn't get very far 🤣
😅
Omg is this my cousin Nathaniala
wtf
His name is Nathaniel
Which one
Idk do you know them
were in qeensland is this
Are you fuckin with me? Did you read the title of the video?
What state are these trails in?
QLD
@@MVDBR thanks, but what does QLD stand for? Thank you
Queensland, Australia. Sorry I assumed you were in Aus
Do you need a license to ride these trails? Obviously rego
Yeah bike license and rego 👍
@@MVDBR how come most of those bikes don't have rego plates?
You’re doing all of the popular tracks but none of the best trails....trust me!
Hey Scott yeah mate I have seen vids of some other great stuff in there, this video should probably be called "The best of what Emmsy knows at Glassy" ;-)
MVDBR Enduro - just hook me up 👊
Heck yer cool. Don't get down there often but will try to remember next time we're planning on hitting it 🤘
You need registered bikes out here ?
Yeah mate, you generally see plenty out there that aren't though
You guys are better off rounding up cattle at that pace.
Maybe we'll give that a crack next time we see your mother out there 🤙
@@MVDBR ohhhhh burn 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@MVDBR still a fkn legendary comment 🤣
Seen many cops around glasshouse mate? Want to ride but don’t want to get pinched. Worked for so long to get my first bike only recently. Then find out the laws changed and I’ll have to ride illegally if I even want to ride
I literally haven't ridden there since this video like 3 years ago. I do hear that it's not uncommon to run into police on DRZs around there though. All you need is a license and registration 🤷♂
Worked so hard to finally get my first proper dirt bike 08yz250f with a athena 290 big bore kit only to find laws have changed and I can’t ride nearly anywhere now
Want to do the right thing but that itch to ride the bike is overpowering hahaha thanks man
@@TheSunnyTrails what laws changed? Pretty sure you've needed to be road legal to ride on public land for a long time. Plenty of people out there riding MX bikes in the scrub but it does come with risk 😬
@@MVDBR I know you can’t on roads but I think you can’t ride in state parks and national parks even if it’s off the roads. What I read was a bit hit and miss but seems like as long as you’re not on ANY road should be fine
@@TheSunnyTrails nope going off designated roads in national parks and state forests is even worse, they don't like people creating and using single tracks. Fuckin fun police 👎
