THANK YOU for this tutorial!!! I’ve been using iPhones ever since I got my 2010 Prius, and have upgraded phones several times with no issues. However, when I got the iPhone 13 pro, the telephone Bluetooth worked fine but I could not connect it as a media player. I tried everything EXCEPT installing the media player first!!! Yours is the only site where I’ve seen this fix. Thanks again!!!

I was trying to fix this problem for months and tried many videos, but you managed to help me fix my problem. I had to press multiple buttons before, but now all I have to do is turn my Bluetooth on, and it automatically connects.

Very thankful you posted this. Saved me $500.00 plus dollars as that the antenna for the satellite radio went out and I really didn't want to spend that kind of money, especially right now during Covid.

Even with your video when I tried to add ph back in, got message I had one Bluetooth device connected, did I want to disconnect it. I said no. But the next time I connected my phone to the car both the audio and the phone were working.

The phone option isn’t choosable for me , and for audio the only option inside there is select portable player. And when I click that, there is choosable button besides the back arrow. The buttons that I can’t choose are there but they are dark gray and don’t do anything when I tap them.
Hey Joel thanks for the Intel on connecting to the 2010 Prius:-) I have a question though when I get out of the car and stop it turn it off whatever it disconnects so in your observations is that the way it's supposed to go every time you get into the car you have to connect it doesn't connect up automatically? Or is it something faulty with my system or is there something I'm missing that I don't know I've tried pretty much everything. Like turning the radio off then turning the car off then when I get back in it's not connected I have to reconnect it manually each time and I don't think it's supposed to go like that cuz no other Bluetooth on a car goes like that LOL if you could help me out that would be super thanks Mary:-)

I had a Samsung A32 that would automatically connect for music and now I have a Samsung A54 which will NOT automatically connect and have to manually pair them every time and is annoying? Any thoughts. Possibly I didn't do the Audio setup first like in your steps? Very confused that the A32 would auto connect and play music and the A54 wont being an upgraded phone.

Hey Joel, I was looking to buy a 2010 Prius with Bluetooth and touchscreen Navi. It's a IV trim. Thank you for the video, cuz this setup is a little confusing for someone coming from a 2001 car. One question, after setting up audio, could you plant any audio? Not just mp3 from internal storage but also streaming audio from Spotify, Google play music, etc.
Matthew Rawlik, yes you can use any audio service available on your phone. You will not being to do some advanced functions the "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" on the screen with Pandora for example. You will need to use your device for that, so be careful while driving

If it has Bluetooth, just follow the steps outlined in this video. You can stop by a local dealer to make sure it has this feature.
