    We actually know for a fact that William Afton doesn't fully understand what's going in with the possessed animatronics because he panics when he sees the ghosts in FNAF 3. He thought that remnant was the explanation, but it's clearly more supernatural than that.

    The Crying Child seeing Elizabeth's death thing had been bothering so much, especially for the reason you stated. Like. Sister Location makes it super explicit that Baby can only kidnap when the kid is alone. There has never been implications that there was an exception, especially for Elizabeth's death.
    And it doesn't make sense for Crying Child either. The quote is clearly implying that Crying Child saw something benign in the shadows and made it out to be a lot scarier than it was. And you know what we see in the shadows that could look crazy to a child? William Afton helping a person into the springlock suits. Which explains why he'd be afraid of the suits but not the characters- there's people in them! Kids are sometimes scared of costume mascots and clowns for a similar reason.

    • @jrbaxterstockman548
      @jrbaxterstockman548 Год назад +27

      In that same vein, the phone guy and restaurants' information and training materials work place accidents and injuries involving the springlock suits was a well-known concern. Who's to say crying child didn't see an employee attempting to climb in/out of a suit or just interact with them and get injured. The games didn't bother telling us if he saw Jeremy the animatronic actor or some other employee getting a hand bitten off, crushed into a meat pretzel, or whatever. They didn't bother telling you because the company wouldn't bother specifically telling you either.

    • @sammyboy_samik3554
      @sammyboy_samik3554 Год назад +14

      Exactly! Even the timeline doesn't add up. According to cannon fnaf timeline Circus baby's pizza world opened after Freddy's fazbear pizza closed. It's been basically confirmed in Fazbear frights stories that Missing Children Incident happend in 1985 and even the timeline fits with this. Crying child died in 1983 so how could he saw Elizabeth dying? The only avidence these people have is that Elizabeth's room was empty in Fnaf 4 but this argument can be dekunbed. Fnaf 4 was supposed to be the last fnaf game so why would they introduce new character? Also just because her room was empty doesn't mean anything, especially not her being dead. I believe Crying child saw Charlie's dead body during Midnight motorist. The reason he is scared of animatronics is because he thought Puppet killed her since Puppet was literally next to Charlie's dead body. "What is seen in shadows is easily misunderstood in the mind of a child." This quote from Fnaf World is literally reffering to this moment, to support this I strongly believe that Glitched Fredbear plush from Fnaf World is Charlie and we as Crying child are setting up The Happiest Day after Fnaf 6. There's even more avidence. Whenever Fredbear plush in Fnaf 4 started talking about what Crying child saw the yellow colour changed emplying that William isn't speaking anymore but Charlie. We know it's not William because we can see William being busy at Fredbear's. She is trying to warn him from William but Crying Child believes Fredbear is talking about the Animatronics since he did not saw William killing Charlie, he only saw Puppet and Charlie's dead body. Also the one who said "I will put you back together" isn't William. It's Charlie, it literally explains how Crying child possesed Golden Freddy but he died in hospital at the same time. Charlie saved him the same way she did with other Missing Children. Most importantly is that this all is perfect with the timelines. This makes more sense than Elizabeth one tbh

    • @jrbaxterstockman548
      @jrbaxterstockman548 Год назад +7

      @SammyBoy_samik the timeline is incredibly unclear specifically in the times/order of death of Henry and Williams children, everything else makes sense on its own, but is conflicting when trying to put those deaths in their proper place.
      As much as it's fun to theorize, there is a certain degree of outside world cannon that has to be considered, and if retcons happen, they would he there. Fnaf 1 was written with no lore planned for 2 or even a 2 to begin with. 2 was written with 3 in mind. 3 had no plan for 4. 4 was not made with sister location in mind. Sister location wasn't written with simulator in mind. And I think everything gets a little dicey from there.
      In my personal head-cannon, the easiest way is to accept inconsistencies and any plot holes is to take the entire series at face value, told as urban legends by teenagers in a town that did have a Fredbears/Freddie's that did close down. Was it because of a murderous owner, possessed animatronics, missing children? Probably not but that was in the 80s man who cares.

    The "indie game developer retcon" really needs to be seen in the angle that, yes, the main gameplay does exist in universe, BUT all the easter eggs and minigames either are real stuff that Fazbear Entertainment is trying to hide because they are TRUE, or they are not canon to the universe, therefore making them FACTUAL EVIDENCE. Like Elizabeth's death, CC's death, Afton's springlock failure, etc.

    • @theofficialretardschanneld1260
      @theofficialretardschanneld1260 Год назад +3

      Thinking about this more in depth,
      I don’t hate this retcon actually
      It logically justifies any inconsistent illogical gameplay mechanics cuz’ they ARE games and they exist to cover up the truth about Freddy fazbears legacy
      This could even explain dream theory and literally everything inconsistent… it’s all deliberately presented to throw us off (in-universe explanation I mean)
      It’s a sort of smart canonical retcon that makes sense of the conflicting lore pieces, which actually makes me think sister location isn’t even canon at all and that’s all just the developer making it all up to twist things up more by injecting his own ideas and interests in sci fi
      It’s possible for the most part only FNAF1-4 actually happened, SL is complete bullshit and made up with maybe some reality behind it and simulator is a fabricated made up conclusion
      It eerily fits and it’s a nice subtle and meta nod to Scott’s trolling.
      If you really really think about it, it does make a lot of sense
      The only truthful things is the missing children incident, a bite incident, rumours of animatronics going mental, a serial killer- what If everything else (remnant, mad scientist, EVERYTHING LIKE THAT. EVEN SPRINGLOCK SUITS) are all a fabrication… lies by Fazbear entertainment…
      But then you realise something has to inspire FNAF 3, something had to reignite fazbear entertainment and how do you explain security breach…
      Hmmm….
      Just food for thought.

    I never see anyone point this out, but if I recall it's NEVER stated ingame that "fire destroys remnant." The SCUPer blueprint says that "overheating," referring to the line immediately above about sustaining a temperature high enough that the substance is malleable but not more, "MIGHT neutralize the effects permanently." It's a hypothesis erring on the side of caution.
    Also, thanks for pointing out the Clara thing. A lot of theorists gloss over or never mention a ton of details like that, leaving fans who don't/can't play the games or read the books themselves completely unaware. And a LOT of the community falls into that category. Hell, I'd love to see a video that's JUST stuff like that. Details with inconvenient implications, things easily missed or glossed over, etc.

    he has a shaky relationship with a business partner and his family is falling apart right out from under him. clear, grounded things that can create a foundation for what his motive couldve been. going "oh he wanted to experiment with the remnant mcguffin stuff" as it was tacked on right at the end of pizzeria sim when there was already decent groundwork just feels incredibly shallow.

    I agree with all of this, especialy the last one, which is just objective fact and people who deny are deluded. However I will just say: the cryign child didn't have to be in the room to see Elizabeth get clawed - he could have seen it through a window or doorway, or even on a secuirty monitor. I still don't think it IS this he saw (I'm of the opinon what he thought he saw was at Fredbear's hence his specific fear of that place) but you can still see something without being in the room with it.

    • @siresquawks
      @siresquawks  Год назад +24

    • @stiw91
      @stiw91 Год назад +14

      Even with a windows or door explanation it's iffy. Like, Afton makes this advanced robot designed to kidnap kids unnoticed by checking if anyone else is in the room, but it can't check if someone is looking through a window or door? That's a pretty big design flaw if Afton doesn't want to get caught.

    • @CaptainRickey
      @CaptainRickey Год назад +5

      Hear me out. No hate, just discussion.
      In security breach we learn about a certain Billy A. that won a custody battle against his wife by forcing his children to lie on the stand. Considering that we hear from this about Vanessa A., a girl who's talking about her father, this indicates that most likely Elizabeth is the one lying. This makes sense because of what we know of Elizabeth, being Daddy's girl and all. This means that Elizabeth is alive by the time of the custody battle.
      The custody battle is a direct result of the divorce, which happens because Afton devotes himself to his work, after a tragic event such as one of his kids dying. But if Elizabeth is still supposed to be alive by this point, then wouldn't that mean that it'd be Crying Child whose death is to be the cause of the divorce?
      This lines up with what we see in terms of technology. Freddy's seems to start with a fur suit, then onto a robotic fur suit, then onto actual independent robots. If William had the technology for the Funtimes BEFORE the bite of 83 (and consequentially the MCI and DCI), why wasn't it used for the robots in THOSE restaurants? Why were the animatronics still using such rudimentary pieces when Afton had plenty of knowledge to improve them?
      Moreover, Sister location is directly opening after a Freddy Fazbear's pizza closes. Not the Diner, mind you. The pizzeria. Here's the problem though; there was no pizzeria before the diner, and every pizzeria afterwards has known dates and reasons why they were closed (MCI for FFP 1, DCI for FFP 2, rumours and bad press for FFP 3). What other pizzeria could there have been prior to '83 and what possible reason to close could there have been for this pizzeria, and moreover: why was none of that mentioned ever? Not to mention the fact that, if there was a pizzeria running simultaneously and that got shut down, the stage wouldn't be "set" for an alternative to children's entertainment, because the main 2 weren't out of business.
      That all goes without mentioning the fact that Afton doesn't have a reason to create the Funtimes, nor does he have a reason to have hidden cameras locked behind password 1983, nor does he have the skills to develop these robots by now because if he did he wouldn't need Henry in the first place, regardless of whether you believe that Henry is a competitor to William that bought him out after he went bankrupt.
      Moreover, if he has the technology to lure and kill children using animatronics before Charlie's death, what's the point of him driving up to the diner himself and roughing her up in the alley instead of sending an animatronic to do the dirty work? Elizabeth/Baby has always shown to be loyal to William, it's not like she would disappoint him or purposely disobey him? She did once and died, you think she wouldn't remember that?
      As for the Crying Child, what he sees is explained (in my opinion) in the opening of FNAF world. "what is seen in the shadows is easily misunderstood in the mind of a child" if this game is about Crying Child, then this quote is about him too. There's no denying that. It could literally be something regarding the way that employees take off their mascot costumes.
      Nightmares are not representative of what he sees, because he doesn't see them; Michael does. It's why we see Michael draw the nightmare Freddy in the security logbook. In fact, since these are caused by William in an attempt to scare and torture his son, we can safely assume that William altered the way they looked to Michael, including a mouth in the stomach, which, if SL comes after bite victim's death, we can safely assume is something he was working on.
      While the nightmares work on an individual's perception, meaning that the exact coloring and details are left up for grabs, it could be that the shape IS something that can be influenced by William.
      The voice doesn't say that circus baby E&R is created because of FNAF's unfortunate closing. It says that FNAF's closed and that's why an alternative to it in the market of kid entertainment has been created in SL. It actually doesn't reference CBPW OR CBE&R. It also makes more sense that CBE&R would have launched immediately after the creation of CBPW. Why would you wait any amount of time? Remember, his goal with the Funtimes was to collect remnant to revive his dead son. Now his daughter is also dead, even if she's inside Baby. You think he'd just sit there and not try and revive his other child into an animatronic? It makes more sense that, considering the fact that Baby seems to have worked successfully in reviving his daughter, that he'd try frantically to revive his other dead child.
      To add onto that, if Elizabeth died first, he would 100% have KNOWN about the possession stuff by the time Crying Child died. So he would 100% have stuffed his son into Golden Freddy, molten it down and inserted it into Funtime Freddy, instead of having the multiple children (5 beings into 1) be the thing that entered Funtime Freddy.

And are so insistent that Cassidy can't possibly have a different gender between canons, when entire characters have different constructions in between lol like Baby in each canon is different and with a different name, or Charlie is a robot in the silver eyes.
      As a matter of a fact, Cassidy becomes in the latests parts of the timeline a VERY important character. A key soul to let everything in the modern timeline happen as we know it. But people seem to be craving for evidence to say it's actually Andrew, and it always has been him when in reality not only there's no factual evidence, but it is also narratively incoherent. He has never ever been even hinted in the games other than the secondary alligator mask kid sprite in happiest day, which really proves nothing by itself.

    I mean the old man in PQ could very well be both a Zelda reference and OMC there's no reason why it can't be both. I'd love to know more why you don't think that's the case because to me the parallels between PQ mini games and the relationship of OMC and Cassidy are pretty undeniable imo

    • @siresquawks
      @siresquawks  Год назад +4

      Honestly they REALLY aren't connected. Literally half of the minigame stuff is just abstract Zelda style dungeon crawling (PQ1), then we get to Help Wanted stuff. Cassidy doesn't go through the Grimm foxy maze to get a Vanny mask. Nor does Cassidy get the glitch trap plush to go to a locked door. All of the "prior Fnaf" references are because they exist in Help Wanted as the various minigames where Vanessa found all of the glitchtrap fragments. The 5 gravestones, which are ALSO in curse of dreadbear, if slightly different.
      And lorewise it's not like Cassidy's the one going around doing shit, at the end of Princess quest 3, the comic shows GREGORY playing the arcade cabinet, showing it was his choices and actions that free Vanessa. So if Cassidy was the princess, it devalues them so much. Apparently they went from creating a nightmare/hell scenario for an immortal bunny man to needing a 12-13 year old kid to play their arcade cabinet to free the not-immortal bunny lady. It would be baffling story telling.

    • @janno7214
      @janno7214 Год назад +10

      @@siresquawks that's all valid tbh, but then what about the dialogue in PQ2 where the old man say "your quest is done, time to sleep" despite the fact that the princess continues on, almost suspiciously similar to what happens in the UCN easter egg. That combined with the matching colors and the file name(although yes it was removed but it was still there at some point for some reason) makes it kinda hard to believe these are it's just a big coincidence. Even if the princess isn't actually Cassidy I think there's at least an intended parallel between her journey and the PQ mini games

      Like I could point out all the logical issues, but the rationale behind people who would never otherwise take the books so literally taking Andrew soo seriously has to say something.
      Cassidy is such an interesting character to be so important, there’s no rain for anyone working or the games to muddy that or take that away because honestly it being Andrew over cause doesn’t seem to effect any post UCN stuff anyways.

In the missing kids incident witch included Gabriel, Susie and Fritz (still have no clue why Jeremy wasn't mentioned but eh.) Fun fact about Springtrap in AR, in the canon of the games he was never actually supposed to be in the funtime service at all, as according to an email, the main reason Faz Ent actually knew he was there was they were getting numerous reports of an old Bonnie model that was very smelly. It's likely that Vanny or someone else in the company snuck a mass produced version of Springtrap into the service without others knowing.

  • @porcelainchips6061
    @porcelainchips6061 Год назад +11

    Is it possible that the Funtime's unique endos are a heavy insight into how Afton builds robots on his own and does it explain the blob to some extent? I was starting at them the other day and thought; "why the coils?" then I thought; "are those tubes?" thhheeeeennn I thought; "are those tubes just full of remnant/fazgoo?" And then watching your thoughts here on Afton not actually being a mad scientist got me thinking; If someone discovered that ghost sweat animated/haunted objects and could make them move, wouldn't that be an easy way to skip over having to manually implement the means of creating a fully-functional animatronic/autominous robot? If something, like a tube, was filled with ghost sweat and then wrapped around an endo frame, wouldn't it then start to move as one unit? It makes me wonder if Sister Location's "sci-fi vibes" are a dude that is not actually technically as inclined as you'd assume and is instead taking a supernatural short cut to smooth over the lack of know how? Further, perhaps if those are tubes of remnant sometimes "remember" and that's why they are irratic; they're so disenbodied at this point that they are usually "stable" but there are still hiccups. A man in a purple security guard uniform, an English-man with a certain shaped face... But as long as they aren't reminded, they follow whatever the programing of the machine dictates?
    This is sort of connected to the theory about Springtrap in FNAF3 co-existing with the springlock suit still running; meaning he walks towards the voices of children regardless of what his zombied-out self wants because the programing prevails/wins over most of the time. (GEMS did a fan animation of Springlock getting interviewed and this happens during the interview, which is really interesting to see visually). Perhaps it would even explain how Springlock becomes more challenging over the nights, because he is progressively fighting the suit harder and harder to get to you.

      i mean, not to say that ypu are wrong or anything but i find the likely answer to "why wires" is that wires are more similar to muscle, and can actually be used to pretty good extent in robotics. also as a side note, i doubt william made them by himself, he clearly has engineers still working the facility years later (and talks to someone about their questionable design)

    • @porcelainchips6061
      @porcelainchips6061 Год назад

      @@Sopsy_Hallow I agree that the engineers at SL are something we need to take into account and that I also continuously forget to account for. However, I do want to point out those aren't wires; they are hollow coils you can buy as giant rolls. That's where the suggestion of something being placed inside of them came from; they are empty for the purpose of something to be strung or pumped through them; so what is Afton pumping through the coils? Why have hollow coild then wrapped around, in a very intricate pattern, across a metal frame? What is inside the coils that serves a purpose and why wrap them in a muscular-structure pattern across the frames, when there's not logical reason to do so? Unless the coils are filled with something that has properties that cause them them to animate like muscles; which wouldn't be wires/electronics... But could be caused via a gas or liquid.
      And in a setting with " haunted ghost sweat", why would the answer just be a real-world liquid or gas?

    Actually the Old Man in PQ2 is OMC, not only is he red like OMC but he tells the princess (Cassidy) to rest after you beat PQ2 which parallels the scene between the two of them in UCN. I'm pretty sure back in the original version of SB he was called OMC in the files but like with Cassidy it was changed.
    I like the idea that The Immortal and The Restless cutscenes are about William gaslighting Michael but I do still think it's also showing Willam and Mrs.Aftons relationship. Vlad is definitely supposed to represent William, they both wear purple, they both have sons who look like them, they both have a night shift at a fast food joint, Vlad shares some poses with the man in the FNAF 6 cutscenes. If this was just about Michael being gaslit then why even have the running bit with Vlad not acknowledging his son? I do think your right though that Clara represents Michael (at least as an adult) it would give a whole new meaning to the title The Immortal (Vlad/William) and The Restless (Clara/Michael). Or we could just be overthinking this and Scott just put that in to show Logbook/FNAF 1 Mike is Michael Afton
    Also technically Scott Cawthon appears in FNAF 57: Freddy In Space in FNAF World Update 2
    As always this was a good and enjoyable watch ^_^ (I especially liked your explanation for Springtrap being an official character in the fazbear brand)

We know he's in charge of afton robotics, but he's not the one making the robots, he might be editing the blueprints at most because if he was also creating them, why would they ask him about his design choices? Like you said, he's a businessman, not a mad scientist, we know for certain he worked as a mascot character with spring bonnie and a security gaurd at one point, but i cant remember a point where he was shown to be in a much higher position in the fazbear company, maybe outside of being a security/mascot for the company, his company was just incharge of supplying fazbear entertainment with their animatronics this entire time (building a good relationship with them) and he actually doesnt have a high position in fazbear entertainment?

      It's been loosely implied that Afton's had a connection to Faz Inc for a while. Henry says "old friend" refering to William, and he says he made the classic animatronics in the insanity ending. So it implies at the very least William and Henry have connections to the early productions of the robots, which implies some level of authority or involvement.
      IN AR it's implied William had connection to early character creation.
      William's in fnaf 4 putting someone in a costume, implying at the very least he's been higher ranking in Fazbear entertainment since the beginning.
      In the novels it's outright stated they founded Fredbears.

    I’m gonna be honest, and I’m gonna get destroyed.
    F.N.A.F.4, to me, is a good game, and has a good narrative, but fits in the worst then any other game.
    - It confused a lot, if not everybody.
    - What’s in the box?
    - What does Evan possess, if he possess anything at all.
    - Him possessing FredBear makes no sense as there’s already a spirit, as establish by previous mini games.
    No one knows what to do with this, so some people theorized he was Shadow FredBear, despite Happiest Day mini game.
    But the whole Stitchwraith helped people to theorize that there can be more then 1 spirit.
    Honestly, the whole multiple spirit thing doesn’t do anything for the game lore, cause they barely focus on the ghostly FredBear, aftermath of F.N.A.F.4.
    So it’s worthless.
    Imo Evan is such a pointless addition, doesn’t do anything at all in the series.
    Tbh, I wish it was retconned, as much as I like the narrative in F.N.A.F.4, I don’t think it should’ve been part of the timeline.
    That’s all I have to say.

But at the same time, if you took away the cream, you'd definitely be removing an important part of the Oreo experience.

    although I don't have much of a horse in the race regarding the whole "crying child seeing Elizabeth's death" thing I would like to add one detail,
    what is the staple to all of the games up to this point? the thing that has been in almost every single game leading up to and including security breach? The cameras!
    if the crying child were to see Elizabeth die through the cameras that would be a way to circumvent the baby's child counting software, and who else would have a better possibility to access the cameras then the kid of one of the owners of the restaurant.

      Maybe, but why would he have access to the cameras or be there to see it or see a replay of it?
