Just bought a house in PA on the Susquehanna Trails. Bought my first Ego tool this month being their lawnmower and I love it. My house is surrounded by trees a lot of which are dead. Definitely need this chainsaw to do much need yard work around my property along with cut the top off my wooden fence post finally that I put up this winter.

I have the 18" that I use everyday, but this 16" would be much more practical as I maintain 40 miles of public recreation trails on an 11,000 acre conservation property that I am the sole employee of. Chainsaws are not only needed for trail work, but for processing firewood, clearing trees out of the 26 miles of roads I maintain, and also cutting woody vegetation out of the 30 acres of wild highbush blueberries we open up for the public each year. So yes, this would be put to the test! Thank you for your great videos, I watch them during my lunch breaks and I get to pick and choose from the channels you highlight. -Zach

My wife and I just purchased our first property here in PA and there are numerous trees that require attention and one that needs removed completely due to disease. As we are looking at outdoor equipment for the ongoing maintenance, EGO seems like the way to go and this the saw to do it. Regardless, thanks for all you have invested in AND for shouting out others in the industry, supporting the “community over competition” mentality.

Great news from Ego! I would definitely use it to take down my now 6 trees that need to come down around my house. I use a axe among other tools. They are no company can come and take these trees down in my area in Strongsville Ohio, trust me i called everyone. So I had no choice, but tondo it myself. This new chainsaw will be a great addition to make my job easier.

As a first time home buyer you end up needing many tools to get jobs done around the house inside and out. With this chainsaw I can definitely cut down those branches that are getting quite big and dangerous if they die and can fall on my kids stuff. Winning it would be a great help as tools can be expensive!

I would use it around my place to clean up some smaller trees and shrubs, and get these branches out of the tree beside my house. (That should have gone years ago. Lol) But the thing that I would actually use the chainsaw for to start with. Is at my dad's house, he's 73. And he's got a couple trees around the 16 aches he owns that are laying down. Or on there way down. So I'd definitely go over and clean up his place for starters.. Anyhow thanks for another great video. See y'all on the next one

I would give it to the nonprofit Zoo I work for (Plumpton Park Zoo). They have a lot of land and cut branches and trees to make purches and natural toys for the animals. They need a good chainsaw frequently. The fact that it is electric means it will not make as much noise and will not scare the animals.

Nice. EGO OPE. More metal parts.
Would be a start to my planned EGO buy in.
Was thinking of expanding my M18 lineup to get bigger batteries, but trying the bigger batteries in the hand tools makes me think just a different platform for OPE the way to go.
Would be awesome to get to try an EGO instead of watching or reading someone else’s experience.
And a chainsaw is perfect. The quick clean up jobs that you spend more time getting a saw started than maybe an axe would have been quicker to use. Anyone with a gas chainsaw has been there. From having to mix some gas to pulling and cleaning the spark plug because it’s sat so long. Sometimes they temperamental to get going and now you smell like gas and oil.

It is quite impressive the power they are able to get out of these battery units.
What would I do with it?
About every 3 weeks I head over to my moms in East Tn for a weak or so. At 79 and with both hips replaced she is no longer able to do much property maintenance. With 54 acres it has been quite the challenge. My 018 died so I am doing alot of hand trimming.
I would put it through its paces, see what she is made of so to speak.
Thanks again for another great video.
