Galadriel is nuts. I've been building her for cEDH and she's been a significant threat in most games. Lots of great suggestions in the video, particularly Koma and Danny Pink. Some others: Solitude, Subtlety, and Endurance can all be cast at flash speed for no mana and net you 3 green mana. Lurking Predators will hit reasonably often given your creature density, and once it does, Galadriel's Scry and Draw trigger will set up the top of the deck for the next trigger.
It's more so that Elves can Turbo her out far faster than most other decks, then make use of her to just flat-out win the game. It's nice and funny to do durdly things, but so much of this video was "win more". Personally, I run her as elf-ball with creature Tudors to go grab Craterhoof or Emeil, the Blessed.
Thank you for the vid! I am amazed that everybody tries to build Galadriel as an Elf tribal. I build mine as a tokens/enchantress type deck and works wonders in mid-power tables
To further note on the Glen Elendra Combo, she comes back with a -1/-1 counter with persist, but when you put a +1/+1 counter on her with Galadriel or whatever else, it will get rid of the negative counter allowing you to use her again and again, getting you much more use out of her.
Ant Queen, Spike Breeder and Biogenic Ooze would give you a way to turn the Galadriel mana into more tokens on opposing turns. Green slime can be fortold and flipped on an opponent turn. Flash counter creatures like frilled mystic and mystic snake are proactive and fit in the gameplan, as are any instants that produce tokens such as arachnogenesis.
I made a slightly higher than precon power deck with her through mixing in a lot of Merfolk. Neat to see how broken she can be, I figured copying her would be a great route.
Thanks, my wife is usually a golgari player but got her the promo set for Galadriel and wanted to make her first commander deck with it. Our selection isn't that huge so it probably won't be KOS but man it's a value engine like crazy

Ok if I wasnt convinced at first, but that test play was nuts. I didnt realize how good danny pink was till it clicked with you putting tokens on everything.
I built her similar but even worse: Some cards to consider: rumor gatherer, toscaias welcome, welcoming vampire, bennie bracks seedborn muse, wilderness reclamation just all of the wolverine rider effects. You missed the enchantment that does the same. Scurry oak, scute swarm and Talrand. Then I just run 28 interaction spells and some of them also make creatures. Its basically a horribly strong drawn and go in bant

I think that Ant Queen is kind of a sleeper card for Galadriel. I didn't see it in any of the decks I saw online or on EDHREC. For 2 Mana you can create a token, get 3 green, create another token and perhaps even another token if you have one more mana to spend. Even more so for Herd Baloth, Basking Broodscale and Scurry Oak - just create a token, get +1/+1 counters to get more tokens from them.
Hey Caleb, I'm really interested in trying this deck, and it seems super crazy, I have a few questions though: The overwhelming card draw from Danny seems like you run a risk of losing yourself the game by over-drawing. I'm assuming at that point you just sac him in some manner to prevent the over-draw? Also, there's no cards in here to increase your hand size, and no recursion, so while this deck feels like it has a great pop-off potential, especially with Danny in play, you end up dumping half or more of your deck into the grave in short order with no way to really interact with your grave. This definitely ends up coming across to me as "I need to kill my opponents in 1 turn after the combo activates or I die." Still looks like a super fun deck, I'm just trying to figure out if there's things I've missed that address these issues, or if it really is just designed to go all in and hope for the best. Thanks for all your videos!
In reference to the combo at 38 seconds. You can actually do the same strategy in elf tribal using Wolverine Riders, copy it a ton, and have the same results. Not to say it is better, but elf ball tribal does all of this and ramps harder using mana dorks and elf synergy cards obviously just benefit Galadriel already.
I built a eldrazi deck with galadriel. Tons of mana dorks and flash cards so ramp out galadriel, flash out more creatures, get triggers and get eldrazi out before people realize what we're ramping for
I would suggest swapping lae'zel with Kami of whispered hopes. Does almost the same as Lae'zel and additionaly acts as a Mana dork. Great Content! Keep Up the good work!
I have built her in every possible way for 25E challenge. Blink, as many triggers on each turn and elves. I find the best way in this price range is a combination of blink and triggers or triggers and elves. Blink tenda to require a lot of resources. Triggering makes your deck extremly weak withouth her. Elves leave to many powerfull pices on the board
Realy like your deck but I personally would swap Champion of Lambholt for Herald of Secret Streams. You can instantly attack the same turn you play the Herald while with the Champion you would have to get him big first before you are able to attack. And the longer he sits on the table the riskier it gets.
You really only need her to last a rotation before she makes the entire board unblockable definitely risky but you’ll be reworded with a +10 power creature. You can definitely justify that swap 😁
Note: The mana will also be lost between steps too. So you make the mana from making tokens from attacking. The mana would have to be used before the declare blocker step.
It didn't even cross my mind to include _Oko, Thief of Crowns_ when I was thinking of popping in _Oko, the Trickster_ to my verion of this deck! Looks like my _Thief of Crowns_ oathbreaker deck is going on the shelf for a while! 😂 Here are a few other cards I think that would be good for a __ deck: -_Ezuri, Renagade Leader_ -_Ezuri, Stalker of Spheres_ -_Ezuri, Claw of Progress_ (Maybe?) -_Ezuri's Predation_ -_Drizzt Do'Urden_ (2-for-1 etb & to take advantage when your big critters die) -_Primal Vigor_ -_Garruk's Uprising_ -_Leyline of Sanctatiy_ -_Leyline of Abundence_ -_Leyline of Curiosity_
I build her this way and it was strong but it was so much to do and it took so much time to arrange and resolve all the triggers, it was like fun for no one and so i dismissed the deck.
I wonder what your opinion is on omnath, locus of mana in the 99, since he lets you keep the three mana between turns so you can get a ton of mana for your turn. Edit: apparently you can also do upwelling and horizon statue as well, but omnath being a creature and less mana is probably better (and i guess worse since he can be removed?)
I had a similar idea for Omnath, Locus of Creation, wherein the idea is to get three land drops per turn (via cards such as Burgeoning, Walking Atlas, Sakura-Tribe Scout, etc). It occurs to me.... what if we COMBINED them? In addition to cards such as Tendershoot Dryad and Wolverine Riders that make a token each turn, there are a fair number of landfall cards that make a token on ETB.
I would also add verdant force and verdant embrace to add more tokens on each upkeep I’d also add Pergrin took to also make a ton of food and I’d add chatterfang squirrel general whenever you make a token you get a free 1/1 squirrel
@@Fighting_irish493 Color identity is a property of cards in the Commander format. It expands the concept of a card's color beyond the mana cost to all elements of the card. This means the black mana required to activate its last ability makes it a green and black, multi-colored card. If Chatterfang is your commander, you can use both green and black cards in your deck. Galadriel does not have black therefore you cannot use Chatterfang in her deck. Hope this helps! 😊
Elf Tribal or not, you’d have to be crazy not to run Marwyn, the Nurturer in here. As a three-drop, Galadriel’s mana-trigger pays for Marwyn, and not only will all the copying of Galadriel add +1/+1 counters to Marwyn via her own ability, Galadriel’s own counter-granting can up Marwyn’s power even more. Personally, I’m always for more *Tap for an assload of free green mana* effects. If you happen to stumble across Rhys…. Edit: To be fair, Galadriel can be a pretty great Commander for Elf Tribal. I like being in Bant rather than Simic, but other than Chulane and now Galadriel, most of the Bant Commanders are pretty specialized. /shrug

Yea im not sure why everyone says she’s an elf tribal commander, her ability triggers off any creature.
I built it as elf tribal so it was a little lower powered for my group, but I built this version as well 😅

Copying Galadriel is always a good option to consider - gives redundancy in the case of removal and lets you choose each option of hers twice.
Yeah I feel like copying Galadriel is always going to be better than copying Koma or another token maker
Had a similar idea but not the kind college of card pool to choose from- rarely play blue green or blue white- seeing these options helped a lot 👍

Lol this is literally my deck. Dont have the glyph yet, but ive got the vampire from the ixilan precon. Danny Pink puts in CRAZY work in this deck.

I include a lot of flash sources to allow me to use all of the green mana and basically take an extra turn on each opponent's turn
I also built her as a good stuff/value token deck and it’s become one of my favorite decks to play. It’s earned its spot with my other forever decks.

I don't know if it is in the deck but you could run helix pinnacle for a mana sink and a win con
