I just ordered poly gel for the first time. I don’t even paint my own nails so I’m watching videos to get as many tips as I can. Thanks for this great informative video. I just am having so much trouble at nail salons. Where I live they are just so busy. I’m talking several hours of waiting just to get your nails done. Poor nail techs must be exhausted with all this stimulus money! Thanks again!
I’m in the same league - I don’t paint my nails, but I’m planning to do Poly gel! 😂. What was I thinking? I’m really curious as to how the gels worked out for someone in a similar situation. Were you able to use the products? Happy with the results?
@@denagustafson6070 Hi! I’ve been doing my own polygel nails since this comment. I use polygel and I do use nail tips under it to help me with strength because I’m very hard in my nails at work. I really enjoy doing my own nails and that is what surprised me. Also, I’m getting better. My nails last 3 weeks until I need a fill in. Sometimes I just do a fresh set instead of a balance. People struggle with polygel sometimes because if you don’t prep the natural nail they won’t last. Mine last because I prep always. I struggle with shaping my nail but have improved. I use an efile. At first I was using too much polygel and had to file so much . As you gain experience you will find the right amounts to save you time and product. I am very happy with using polygel and doing my own nails and glad I started watching videos like the one above! I have saved so much money because when I would go to the salon a balance would cost me $30 but I always tipped $30. I would go every 2 to 3 weeks. I will say I have purchased a lot of gel polishes of Amazon in search for the perfect pink for my skin tone but it was worth it lol! I think polygel is super affordable and in the end am so happy I made this decision a year ago!
I’m so glad I found your video, your attention to detail and precision is *chefs kiss*! Also love that your have skinny piano fingers, I’m apart of that same club lol
Thank you so much!!! I had given up on polygel. It took too much work shaping it from the dual forms. I used your method and it worked like a charm! The hardest part was separating the nail cover from the polygel after curing. Thanks
Super pretty!!! I am one of those that's struggling on making my polygel stay on. I'm not a professional but I love doing my own nails. I enjoyed watching it ❤
Years, you say? I’m trying my first set tomorrow and now I’m scared. I figured that the learning curve would be a few tries, but years may mean that it’s too technical for moi! 😢
Hello I love the way you do your nails and it looks so easy,I will be starting my nails for the first time so I am watching all you videos to give me some guidance. Your nails are beautiful by the way. Keep up the great work and if you have any more easy tips please let me know.
Thank you for the tips and tricks on this nail method. I purchased a poly-gel beginner kit from Amazon about a week ago, and I have to agree with you on the mini UV light that comes along with the kit; it’s not as great as a full size UV light! Also, taking the time to prep and going over the details such as using a drill to buff and go over the cuticles is crucial if the end-goal is to make them look professional, and of course , long-lasting! . . Thanks again for the informative and enjoyable video! Your nails came out gorgeous!! 🤍😍
Hey gal your nails look beautiful❤... I loved it and i defnitely gonna try your method... I just order my nailkit at SHEIN! ... i'm just waiting in peace for my package and i'm very excited about it😊😊
@@AlexandraDixon i figured out what Im doing wrong. I’m not adding enough poly gel and pressing too hard. You have to be generous with it but not to generous.
Beautiful set! I read somewhere that wiping away the sticky layer from the basecoat can make the polygel adhere easier? I was wondering how you avoid the airbubbles and have it not move on the nail!
Your nails are beautiful. Can you tell me what you used to hold the nail on the little display? Thank you and keep up the great work your videos are so informative.
I don’t know why I’m just now seeing this when you posted this in March but what I just saw it’s beautiful I love your nails I love your technique especially the spider thing LOL
Hey love, love your techniques. It's to die for! Ordered myself a polygel kit, defiently be using your vids to helo me! Just wondering do you keep the soft gel nail tips on or do you take them off?
I’m wondering the same thing!! I think she keeps them on or else she would add the step of removing them ? But I really don’t know! If you figure out lmk 💗
HELP I watched this and you make it look so easy. How do I get the poly off form it cured on it and not on my nail now I have base coat and poly on my real nail
Did you put the polygel on dual forms or tips? And did you leave the them on after curing them? I didn’t see you pop them off after you cured them. I’m confused!
I finally tried your method last week and GIRLLLLL . I think this is the first time I am actually in love with my nails 😩
YAY! Sooo happy you love it , I’m never going back !
What method? The not taking the tip off the nail?
@@bereniceperez8706 using the soft gel full cover tips
@@itsjustjanice2986 I need to try it!
I'm pretty sure Femi Beauty came up with this method; just thought you should know!
This was so cute. I've never seen anyone use polygel to do the spider strings. So smart.
That spider gel method!!!! 😍😍 genius, thank you 💕
Thank you love! ❤️❤️
Right! Even someone as unskilled as I am can do that I think lol I will definitely be trying it
Just attempted my first Poly gel application and I followed your steps! I love my nails and will save a ton of money doing them myself! You go girl!
Hey how long do they last please ? Does it last for two weeks at least ?

Hey love! You can keep the nail covers on ❤️ since they are soft gel they mesh with the polygel unlike dual forms which are plastic
@@AlexandraDixon wow! I don’t think I realized you left them on.
@@AlexandraDixon that answers my question! lol thank you :)
Are they reusable if so how do you clean them
I was wondering the same thing!!!

Question when do you remove the tips from the poly gel ?
Love these!!
Could you please share the link to the types of drill bits you used? Including the white ceramic ones?
How do these nails last with poly gel underneath?? Just curious
I love this method, but my question is, do you take the plastic tip off? After you have cured.

Hopefully not a stupid questions but did you keep the full covers on or pop ‘em off before the alcohol?
Hey girl hey!!

Did you put the polygel on dual forms or tips? And did you leave the them on after curing them? I didn’t see you pop them off after you cured them. I’m confused!
She used tips and just left them on.
Hey Carmen! Full cover nail tips. You do not pop them off.
No they are popped off. The nails are dull now. Some people don't tell or show the truth.thats why ours don't work.
@@ladydebharr1704 actually they aren't popped off. I've used this exact same method for months and mine always work. Maybe your prep isn't correct....
@@simplybritty exactly mines have been on over 2.5 weeks. Just taking them off.
