    Amazing explanation. But where is videos for solution of transient state for a driven oscillator.

      I had to leave it out for time since i had to cover waves and optics in a single semester. I might touch on it qualitatively here:

      If I recall correctly it is just the transient you would get from the undriven oscillator with the same initial conditions. To think about a transient you have to have initial conditions rather than say that the driving force has gone on "forever".
