    Dan I just saw your old video about the zero pain now program, Is that what you still do? Is it something different?

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  4 года назад

      Zero Pain Now is simply one of many tools or processes to "feel your emotions". It's still valid and personally I like the simplicity and the fact that I'm not writing about stories of all the bad stuff that's happened to me. It's simply a Feeling focused process.

    Hi Dan, thank you for this video. Have you ever heard of "the three priciples"? Eddie lindenstein had 2 guests on that spoke about that as a means for TMS healing. It's all about how everything comes from thought. I spoke to someone yesterday who teaches it and something about it doesn't sit well with me, as far as everything I've learned about TMS healing where we learn to acknowledged and feel our emotions. That theory doesn't allow for that. That person said that Dr. Sarno never said to feel your feelings. I feel that we are allowed to say that something triggered me to be angry, sad happy etc... and then choose to move beyond that. I'm just curious from you if you have ever looked into the three priciples for TMS healing?

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  4 года назад +3

      I am aware of the 3 Principles and also trying to figure it out and see how it applies to TMS and my belief about how to end our symptoms. The 3P's approach seems to be more of an observation without judgment approach and not really having to DO anything.
      As for Sarno not saying we need to feel our feelings, he did say "think psychological, not physical". That can be interpreted any number of ways. However, many of the doctors and therapists that have literally worked with Sarno all seem to have Journaling and expressive writing (aka feeling) as part of their programs.
      I do love the 3 Principles concepts as it leads to things like this video which gives us freedom from our thoughts owning us.
      Again, I am trying to figure out how to incorporate their concepts into the TMS world. I don't have the answer to that one yet. Still learning myself.

      Dunno if this fits with this question, but Dr Sarno said in one of his books that knowledge and thereby the realm of thought is often enough to get pain free. He also said that this might not be enough for some and that those indivuduals would have to feel the emotions they repressed (which might make psychotherapy necessary)

    It’s possible not to think

    Thanks for the video Dan. I have some thoughts regarding this topic: I think it is not always possible to observe the thoughts and this is a tiring activity, as we think more than 60,000 thoughts pero day. On the other hand, If I feel the fear, that fear contracts me body and make me uptight. Does this makes sense?

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  3 года назад

      No, it's not always possible to observe our thoughts and do anything with them. We can simply leave them be. There's nothing to do other than not take the thoughts so seriously. Not all thoughts are true. Not all are helpful. We don't have to believe them. The less we believe the bad stuff, the less bad stuff we will think.

      @@PainFreeYou Thanks Dan. I think not believing our thoughts require us to be vigilant to check which thoughts we believe and which we dont. Anyway I Will try to put It in practice!Thanks!

      @@javierpalacio3906 Being vigilant to our thoughts would be exhausting. We don't have to do anything with our thinking. Other than perhaps not taking our thoughts too seriously, just focus on life, productivity, happiness, joy, purpose. Just live.
