I think because of being in the ‘ unknown ‘ about all the symptoms for years, and being a perfectionist, I tended to dive deep in all the details of what I felt physically.. And that way turning my ‘ healing ‘ into an obsessed observation of what my body was doing/ feeling. That didn’t cure me! Now I let go of that micro-studying every thing I feel and knowing that eventually the symptoms and pains will vanish in a natural not forced way. Just taking it easy on myself and always going back to the right knowledge about what’s going on.. I’m evolving from a freak out - curiosity to a calm compassionate - curiosity. Like you I am letting go of all that micro-managing & through all the new, correct knowledge & information learnt via Dan & other tms resources rewriting the old script & feeling safer & calmer. @@josiejo117 I think it’s a general and normal pattern we all go through.. we didn’t have the correct information back then, unfortunately which increased the symptoms- anxiety and micro- searching even more. Luckily it’s never too late to reverse all of this. Physically it’s still challenging for me, I don’t take pain meds really and the pain can hit hard but my mental and emotional state is now able to deal with that most of the time in a calm and trusting way, like you! It’s so lovely to know you’re improving so much ! I admire you for your insights, strength and courage ❤️

Great message Dan! I use positive affirmations to stay feeling safe when facing a difficult situation or increase in symptoms. Some of my favorites are, “I am safe within me wherever I go” and “I am my own safe person” and “symptoms are just symptoms”. I breathe in safety and breathe out fear. I love the Dare app. It helped me with my health anxiety and worrying thoughts. Your videos and group coaching was so helpful too. Thanks for all you do!!

Dear Dan, would you make a video about weakness in the legs? That feeling that your legs are really heavy and tired all the time and sometimes even give in. Which makes walking and standing an absolute hell. I’ve been trying to convince myself the past year that it’s TMS but I don’t really believe it. I don’t know anyone else with this symptom. More people would have this if it were TMS. It would become less at some point if it were TMS right? I did your pain test and I know I have TMS concerning other things (backpain, chronic pain in whole body, fatigue, insomnia and so on). I was told my blood circulation is not good and that I don’t have enough muscle mass in my legs. I’m confused and scared all the time. Torn between hope that it could go away and fear that it will stay and I’ll end up in a wheelchair.

Dan, thanks for your video. I am going through a tough time with chronic fatgiue, after some tough time working and stress from a family issue tipped me over. I am very much house bound and finding work too hard.😢 I am trying my best to get back onto my feet for my wife and kids but fatigue is an issue. Ive tried several times going out for walks, jogs and runs but the next couple of days after that the body is beyong fatigue. I am just wondering whether this clip applies to me, that my brain is trying to protect me by giving ne a false alarm as you described. Your advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏

good one Dan ! Have you had many clients with endometriosis ? I ask as it is awreness month over here - a mysterious condition which I have - has surgery for ..... lesions and so on visible - but then such a crazy pain condition - so would love to know if youve come across this and people healing ?
What if you go to Accupuncture with the intention that it is relaxing and not that it will fix my problem? Same thing with things like Yoga, meditation etc? Seems there should be a place for this in this type of work? Just like your breathe in peace breathe out fear. If we are in a high state of fight flight , we may need some kind of way to bring that down? Right?

Hi Dan, I've been watching more of your videos recently and taken the assessments. I have perceived danger pain, and I'm considering joining your groups for coaching. But I'm wondering if your group will be able to support me with the fact that I do need some physical rehabilitation along with continuing to send messages of safety. I know that muscular weakness is one contributing factor to my symptoms, and it has been difficult for me to do that with the pain and the fact that I had a physical therapist not listen to me and exacerbate my symptoms significantly. Does your coaching program offer support for people who have perceived danger pain along with pain that does come from some physiological causes?
I have a question Dan. I’m having to work still, I can’t take time off. My pain is in my wrists. I have OA in my thumbs too which I think is being made worse because of the wrists. Pain began in one wrist a year ago. This got better within 3 weeks but then I literally got pain in the right wrist which hasn’t gone. Now my left is hurting again. I’m having to work a physical job with pain which is difficult to say the least. Any advice on how to do this as you’ve said about not pushing yourself too hard too soon to create the messages of safety. I’m unable to do this as I’m self employed, on my own and can’t take time out because financially I’m unable to do so. Advice welcomed please. Dan. Thank you.
Messages of safety were good. But since the costochondritis. I’m not sure. I can’t get the reassurance from Drs. They can’t even agree. It fits PDP. But not entirely and feels like heart attack. Drs say go to emergency. Well that’s great. Anxiety now flares. Still messaging my brain. But think I need a new script for this one. Take care everyone 😊
I’ve been saying safey to my brain and it’s not buying it even though at those many moments, my body is relaxed and I do feel indifferent. Can the brain be that stubborn?!?
What is the dominant message? What is your clarity on the cause of the problem? Any doubt about it all being TMS? ALL? Symptoms don't leave based on moments of a relaxed body and indifference. Do you ever encounter the attitude of who am I to think I can live life without pain? Because somewhere down deep we seem to feel that life must have pain in it. Do you know what I’m getting at? And that’s kind of a hard thing to overcome from the get-go.
