@@tomhugheslv John is also one of the very best lyric writers of all time. It was his perspective from having lived in 3 countries that gave him that gift.
Still waiting for Steppenwolf to be inducted into the RRHoF . But they're still to busy inducting Rappers to put in such a truly influential Rock Band as Steppenwolf .
This is great, thank you for posting it! It obviously is a different show from what other videos are on RUclips. It must have been a thrill for this band to have played with him, and they are really good! At 9:22 you can hear the crowd singing along to "BTBW", and at the very end on the left you can see Charlie Wolf, John's longtime tour manager.
Glad to see John is using a bass player, especially for MCR. In the last few years of Steppenwolf, there was no bass player, just pedals. That never seemed right to me.
Actually the last few years they had Gary Link on bass, but you are correct before that they had Mike Wilk doing the bass from keyboards .And they even played along to a prerecorded bass before that, which was not good.
This Guy is one of the Greatest of All time.
Fantastic!! One of my favorite bands!
Thanks for all your posts of the cruise. John still sounds great…….
Still sounds fantastic!
