  • My quest for a DoorDash 70% acceptance rate continues with my sights set on the Diamond Program and Top Dasher if I can withstand all the bad orders DoorDash throws my way. Hopefully the earnings are worth it once I get there.

    One thing that nobody talks about is the psychological impact of these programs. Think about it; DD has successfully made drivers reduce/compromise their standards just to meet a metric that the company has set.
    If drivers (on a mass scale) would just say no by using the decline button, none of these programs would have any impact. Drivers are and have allowed these programs to work while simultaneously allowing the company to manipulate them into taking orders that they normally would not take if they didn’t feel pressured to do so.
    The mind games are real and drivers are willfully giving up the only leverage they ever had! 😢

    Going on my 2nd week of Door dashing. 1st week, that consisted of 3 days combined total 10 hrs. I had a acceptance rate of over 80% ..... Even though I received several $ 12 to $14 dollar orders..... A vast majority where low ball around $5 dollar orders with equal milage 😢..... I subscribed to your channel and watched over 20 of your videos.... To help me learn the tricks of the trade. After watching your videos.... I started the new week still over 80% acceptance rate.... But started to be choosy on orders I accepted..... I went out and dashed for 3 hours.... And had only one order over $10 .... All the rest where well below $10 with close to equal milage.... Ended my 3hr dash ... With a 62% acceptance.... I don't believe Door dash claim ( carrot on a stick) high acceptance, gets you big dollar orders. My completion % is a 100 and on time delivery is 96% ....

    do you have earn by time in your market? i'm trying to raise mine too, and i've learned that it helps soften the blow of back to back terrible orders, and SOMETIMES you get more than you would on certain orders. it's not always great but it can be. and it helps keep your rate going up since you only get 1 decline per hour..

  • @ericinohio8962

  • @userrrrr12366
    @userrrrr12366 Год назад +1

    I am a full time dasher and one of the hardest lessons I had to learn is you have to TRUST doordash to a certain extent with orders that roll in. At first I would ALWAYS decline anything lower than $5 and if an order wasn't $1.50 a mile I wouldn't take it. This corresponded to me having an acceptance rate of 27% and I was fine with this since everyone online said it didn't matter. IT DOES. I spent a week and a half accepting all orders even crappy ones unless it was extremely unrealistic and unprofitable. I am back to 73% now. Doordash really wants you to make $20 ish an hour if you live in a well populated area. I'll take a $3 order if I'm at $17 and the end of my hour is coming up because that's the difference of $20 and hour to say $15-$17 an hour. Also you can't expect week days to be amazing money days. Work the weekends and you'll rack up a real bag. Just be smart and pay attention. It takes awhile to know what's worth it or not, if you're unsure just take the order and see. If it takes too long doordash allows you to unassign the order with no penalty to yourself 🎉

    High pay order =$1 a miles. When Diamond first started on Doordash they put $2 a mile in writing on the website. That was removed within 2 weeks. It dropped to $1.50 a mile. Today it is $1 a mile.
    Priority on order is only when it is SLOW. If it is busy there is no priorty.

  • @dashieat
    @dashieat Год назад

    Being a top dasher, you can be a cherry picker because we deserve better orders, my AR range last 5 month been between 70%-87%. Meaning when I get lower 70% i lower my standard a bit, i still never take shit orders. I stick to $2+ per mile. I'll lower to $1.75/mi when i get to low 70's%.
    There are definitely different brackets of Top Dashers, 90-100%, 80-99%, 70-79%. So when catering orders comes in, you want a decent AR to get those order first. I get at least one catering order a day if i work lunch shift as well. But i mainly part time dinner shift. So far anything above 87% seems like you have to take some bad orders to stay up there, not going to do that. Let the 90%+ take those bad orders that way the good orders come to me when they are busy going out of zone. But I definitely will not go back to scheduling. I love to be able to dash anytime when im out of town, dashing along the way.

I get non stop diamond orders all day make such great money. I do accept some crap short mile orders that don’t take long just keep everything up. I also do over 13 shop and delivery every wk and over 70 percent so a top dasher. • @michaelbell75
    @michaelbell75 Год назад

    Nice! Im sure you already know that the Diamond program and top dasher are two totally different things. DD takes a snapshot of your profile on the last day of the month and that is used for the following month. So on July 31st, if your customer rating is 4.7 or better, your AR is 70% or better and your completion rate is 95 or better, then you will become a top dasher for Aug. That is when you will actually start to see the better orders. Honestly though, if UE is good enough in your area, trying to get top dasher is a waste of time and more importantly, a huge waste of money and wear and tear on your car. You dont have to worry about your AR, if you get taken out of your zone, having to schedule just to drive...and all the other dumb little things about DD. UE is where I get most my money from.
