NaPoM from Pennsylvania went head to head with Kenny Urban from Connecticut in the quarter final round at Battle of the 5th Element.

Battle of the 5th Element is the first Beatbox event / competition to ever be held at a RUclips Space anywhere in the world. Battle of the 5th Element, organized and directed by Adam Andrew Corre of Beatbox Television is an international beatbox competition featuring some of the best and most well known vocal percussion talent from all around the world.

NaPoM should have won this one, my flow was off my second round and this just certainly wasn't my day. The battle was being live mixed which helped my throat bass sound insane live but still my brother took this either way. Just wait and see Beat Rhino kick my ass in the semi's LOL fml

it was a simple mistake that only happened once the whole show. nothing to get bent out of shape over.

6:20 this earthquake routine is still the best he's ever done. The bass to it mixed with the clarity in his voice saying "earthquake" in lip roll is amazing on good headphones or speakers.

Yes, I agree. This one is the second best for me, but in terms of sound quality and performance from Napom, the 2015 World Champs versus Babeli is definitely the top one.

You can tell how much respect Napom and Kenny gives each other when they used all their best beats against each other even when it's the quarter finals.
NaPoM's face at the final says everything. For me NaPoM should be the winner, btw it was a fucking great battle! (Kenny improved a lot!)
Kenny had 30 extra seconds and he had just enough time to do his routine! That's probably why he won, but anyways, big up to both! Both were so sick!
there was live mixing, which really effected the judging throughout most of this competition

I take all the comments and feedback as the fact that there is an huge amount of passion and energy in the beatbox community, especially the currently progressing and uprising AMERICAN SCENE! I am so happy, fortunate, proud and humbled to be a part of this community and growth... it's changing and evolving every moment and keeps me inspired to do what I do.
what you have here, folks, is a BATTLE! a FIGHT! of insane caliber. it was one of my toughest judging decisions by far. I really dig what has been said in many of these comments, and appreciate all the feedback in general. getting into my personal reasons would be too long a type, but many here have stated similar to what I felt and thought at the time. so I'll leave it at peace, love, beats & SYMAB!! -tony c
Why i really like this battle besides the great beats is that, we can see the joy and smile showed in the opponents' face while listening to the beatbox of the other one. This is the true power of beatbox, making people happy, even if it is a competition. :)

Mecha Olguín if it really was because of that then they wouldve fixed it. Also, its pretty arbitrary to say that because the main point is the judges point at the person who they think won, which anybody can see from any angle

Oh my GOD that was sick. Urban is one of the guys who has really come into his own in the last couple years. NaPom was amazing. Always good to see a battle where both people obviously enjoy the other and are good sports about the competition.

Super close battle imo, Kenny took the first round, Napom the second. I'm really surprised how much Kenny improved over a short time!
I can understand why people would give the battle to either of them, but hey, I think the judges made a fine choise. It's not all about power, don't get blindet by the insane Napom bass which is huge of course. I feel like Kenny had more variety in this battle and his style is really hard to do also. Watched other proffesional beatboxers trying to imitate Kenny and after 5 seconds they were allmost suffocating x)
So please don't disrespect Kenny, fanboys. He is a great beatboxer and deserved this victory as much as Napom would have.
Yeah I think he won this one because he had more musicality and variety and on top of that he also had power and technique but I do think he made a few mistakes in his flow a couple of times here

***** beatboxing & live performance is not always about power, my friend... in this battle ALL THREE of us voted for Kenny, probably based on his improvement, versatility & technicality.. as much as I love Napom (who's actually one of my best friends) his style and sounds didn't vary too much (and we've heard it all before). Though he did put one hell of a hurting on that sound system! -- I will tell you, the live battle sounded a bit different, and may have helped sway our decision to Kenny.
Don't forget ;) ALL THREE JUDGES voted for Kenny, and out of the 3 of us, we each have over 15 years experience in music and/or beatboxing & were asked to come out and vote for a reason... in which 2 of the 3 of us have judged multiple other competitions. Thanks for your opinion anyway..
Now go Shut Your Mouth & Beatbox... maybe someday people will know who you are.
LethalFX The fact that you've "heard it all before" might indicate why you weren't an appropriate judge. I think these beats were fresh as fuck to most of the world, so having some experienced judges from further afield could have made the decisions more impartial.
Kenny at the end "Wtf? I won? How?!" and Napom "wtf ist this shit?!" I think it was unfair... with the time and Napom should have won this easly...
