Believe it or not but you do make SO MUCH sense, that's why so many people watch your video's because they resonate with your stories? No-one's life is a linear story, only you do tell about it. Thanks!
Good for you not driving when you don't feel safe. While those of us who grew up in snowy areas and think nothing of driving in snow (up to a certain depth or intensity of falling) it is ALWAYS best to stick to your comfort level when driving.
Your videos are always my favorite ❤️ Hope I get to see you sooooon! ps the Alchemist is one of my favorite books. Definitely the kind of book you read again and again
Thank goodness that man wrote so many books. It's a treasure trove of goodness. I think there's one that takes place in Joshua Tree. I can't remember which one it is.
Hi Mariah! Out of all the van lifers I watch, you are the one who reminds me of me when I was your age. I relate to all you have said 30 some years ago. Lol I am 55 now and I know if van life was a thing back then I would have been on the road! Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. It’s quite comforting to me. I think you are awesome! Hugs to you and Finn. From a friend in Iowa. ❤️🦋❤️🦋
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, your eye for artistic shots is amazing. How you frame everything up and the sequential timing of scene to scene is on point. Your drone work is vastly improved and even though you just started your star gazing time-lapse phase… that last scene was very nice. Tip of the cap to you Mariah. Be proud. And as always, be safe.
Been watching almost since the beginning don’t know why I just now comment but just wanna say I envy how you’ve found the joy in little things. In a world of chaos and going harder and faster you’ve found a way to slow down and find what it really means to be human or at least your trying to. I hope one day I can find my own peace or get on path to finding it like you have. Thank you for giving me hope
This was such a nice hangout. I braided my hair and listened to you talk about taking things slow. - and then the video ended right when I finished the second braid. A great time
René Descartes "I am here quite alone,” he writes, “and at last I will devote myself sincerely and without reservation to the general demolition of my opinions.”. Your videos made me look this up.
My dog is low key obsessed watching your videos because he loves to watch Finn on the TV. He gets so confused when he disappears off screen and decides to look around the house looking for where he could have gone 😂 I hope when we’re in our van he’ll get to meet his TV bud in person one day - I’m sure it’d make his day!
We’re all running out of time. Glad to hear you’re taking it slow while here in New Mexico. Random tidbit of information- New Mexico’s official motto is “The Land of Enchantment” but us locals lovingly call it “The Land of Mañana” or the land of tomorrow. People here move at their own pace. 😁
@@MariahAlice I started at the beginning for this reason. The calibre of your new videos is so much better now, but I also still enjoy them. Your style is unique and shows through even then
@@MariahAlice I'm from Belgium and discovered your channel a few weeks ago. I also went back to your old vids and am watching 1 or 2 every evening in the bathroom while doing my nighttime routine (which at 49 takes a lot longer than at your age LOL).
It's nice to see the drone get some work with all of the beautiful scenery around you, but as usual, it is the ground level shots of Finn in his ecstatic "oh boy! oh boy! oh boy! oh boy!...." mode that steals the show😊
Really cool that you're reading The Alchemist. It's a great book. I own a copy and I've read it several times. It can easily be read in a day if you have nothing else to do lol. I remember recommending it to you on one of your videos awhile back. Glad you liked it.
I really appreciate that your channel is all about your stories and adventures, and not about driving traffic with the clickbait-iest thumbnail. Your sincerity and goodness as a person really shines through.
Hey I wanted to say I have loved your videos for a long time. I am just finishing up my simple van build and heading out with it to plant trees soon. And then who knows where after that! But I have to say I have always appreciated you and your honesty. I feel like every time I watch your videos I have so many questions and you always answer them in a way that resonates with me so strongly. I honestly understand your anxiety's on a strong personal level. I would love to chat with you about your travels and honestly the emotional journey. If you are interested let me know. Either way thanks for the amazing content. You are my favorite van life RUclipsr 😊
Mariah, you are loved by 10's of 1000's of people, including me. You are SO full of genuine love, that your heart can overflow very often, which is why sometimes you cry...or almost cry. You're filled with love! You also have great talents. I love your editing. Might even be my favorite editing cause you get to the points you want to express. Also, your filming is super! And do you use a drone? That's amazing. Bottom line Mariah, you are so much more ahead than your age...your VERY TALENTED, and your style is super cool, naturally. Yes, you are a natural. So Mariah, relax... keep being the "free you" that shines who you really are. You are naturally amazing, exactly the way you are. That's why we love you so much. Happily, you are in my prayers and I'm so thankful to get to see your blogs. Thank you Mariah. You, amaze, me🎶🌻
There's always something about these vids that sort of "resets" me and helps remember what I'm working towards. "It's only when I thought about the joy in the seemingly endless tasks that life started to feel right again." --I remember that it's not as much about the destination that matters, but instead, the real joy is in the journey itself.
Nice, freedom and time. It is nice that you are experiencing them and realizing how important both are to live a very nice life. The little things are very important also. Keep enjoying them and making videos of your journey.
Since I've been watching your channel, I've often wondered at your wanderlust of driving. Driving becomes its own job. Sometimes you are in places that I think "Oh, I'd like to spend a week there" then by the end of the video you are driving off to parts unknown. What you are doing then and now is fine! I just get a bit anxious when I see some awesome spot you found and quickly leave. You find really good spots! Enjoy your travels and enjoy the stillness. See you next week. PS. The snow was really nice.
I just returned from our 35-day cruise to Hawaii and French Polynesia, so I am catching up on everyone’s videos. Once again you hit a home run with this one.
I read that book after you mentioned it, Where the Crawdads Sing. During Covid, nothing was open except for the grocery store, so the magazine isle became my library and I was so happy to "borrow" such a good book for only $9.99.
You actually make sense In a nonsensical kinda way, I don’t know if that makes sense or not but hopefully it does. You know what it doesn’t matter it’s entertaining! Also I definitely get the slowing down bit. Watching you and other vanlifers made me wanna try doing this vanlife thing but I thought I’d try it out in my car first. I’ve done 12,000km in the last 3 weeks and now I’m looking at myself and asking myself why i did that much. On the flip side I drove from the southern most area in mainland Australia to the northern most town I could access without needing a 4wd. And it’s all thanks to creators like you who inspire so much travel.
Being happy seems to be key. Glad you are moving away from those time consuming activities, allowing more *you* time. Thanks for another timeshare with us - the YT viewers.
That book is on my list because of your recommendation and THEN the trailer!! 😱 It looks so good!! I love watching your New Mexico videos! Definitely making me want to take my RV there soon! I just got on the road and moved in 😄
Hey Mariah, I like that in every video there is different weather. You make some of the best van life videos out there right now. Keep it up and I will keep supporting!
Nice video. Thank you for taking us along on your Journey. Yours is the most earnest van journey I’ve seen. Most are about the superficial aspects of being on the road. Your Journey is deeper than that, and you articulate those deeper aspects quite well. Your Journey will resonate with anyone who seeks a more meaningful way of Being in Life. Keep doing what you’re doing. Finding the “magic in the mundane” is a very good step. Also Finn is way cute!
such a beautiful snow storm. it's so surprising that NM has beautiful blue skies, heavy snow storms, wonderful desert settings, etc etc. Looks like NM is definitely a good find!! So enjoying ur adventures. Merci
You make a lot of sense, in that any of our lives do not make sense. Especially as we reach our thirties. The point is, therapy aside, you are striving toward greatness and understanding yourself better. That is the best thing any of us can do for ourselves. While you explore yourself you are also exploring the country too and that is really special in itself.. I always say it; I love your videos. I am glad you found therapy and have found it helpful. I did two sessions in late febuary/ early march and it was enlightening to say the least.
What a nice shot, amazing composition! This video conveys the character of the landscape effectively! All the elements combined in this upload evoke strong emotions! Nice work, keep going guys....
I get to watch twice! First on Patreon and then again here. Got ta get them watch counts up and each one is special enough to watch twice. Brrrr, barefoot in the snow!! Stay warm. Thanks for sharing the journey.
I just drove through there on 3/31, picked up a super interesting, old Apache named Erle (don't recommend picking up hitchhikers), drove through Hondo, Tinnie etc which is gorgeous. Enjoy your visit and keep up with the videos 🙏

If/when you make it to Santa Fe check out Meow Wolf. Fun place to run around and be lost for few hours. Try to time it so there isn't a lot of people. The taco truck in the parking lot was some of the best food I ate in Santa Fe.
Love any type of tacos 🌮, yours looked good.Starry night timlapse and drone footage was cool....I'm sure you Crack a window when using the propane stove,..right? Obviously that would be part of the appeal, but also a lot to get used to if I just decided to head in that direction...
You created a lot of solitude and time for introspection for yourself at a very young age. This is hard at any age but you sound wise beyond your years. If I could go back and do it all over I’d love to do what you’re doing 💗 enjoy the process! 🙏🏻👩🏼⚕️
That hair definitely gotten long. Those maintains looked so beautiful in the background. I could imagine what it would look like if everything was green 🤓

What a great scene to do yoga near.
