To check a substance nature we do it by putting blue or yellow litmus paper and the turmeric acts as indicator or litmus if blue turns red so it is basic and if red turns yellow or is acidic in nature

First you added detergent(basic) to turmeric water so it became red, and then on that red solution you added lemon(acid) so it turned back to yellow... it was because the neutralisation reaction took place - Basic + Acid --> Salt + Water Final reaction: Turmeric water + Basic + Acid --> Turmeric water + Salt + Water...

Termeric is a natural indicater . It mix with base then it turn red colour but when it mix with acid ,no change
Citric acid in lemon reacted with base in detergent and neutralized the basic solution and hence decreases red colour formed due to base
