We set off from the Burzier car park near the town of Cordon. Was 03 February 2024. The morning of that day was frosty. As we walked in the sun, we felt as warm as spring.
It got cold near the chalets belonging to the shelter Refuge de Doran. There was a strong wind in the pass. We were climbing the steep slope in light crampons, fearing what kind of wind we would encounter at the top. In the valley near the chalets, the snow was heavily frozen on top. On the slope, where the sun had already reached, our legs sank into the snow, almost to our knees. This made the approach very difficult.
Once we reached the top, we found a good place to launch. The wind was very light and it was difficult to judge its direction. We knew that to start we had to run and not stop. The start, although unusual, was successful and in a moment we could admire the beauty of the peak of Les Quatte Tetes. We managed to stay in the small thermal area for a while. We landed near the parking lot. Great adventure. An inspiration for those who prefer trekking in the mountains.
