Oh look a swimming hole. That winze looked very deep. Tommyknockers in that one mates. The colors were pretty. Lots of iron and copper left. Them miners must have been short in height. Lovely wet mine.
Actually, it’s Interesting, your lovely valley looks a great deal like some areas near my hometown of Nevada City in northern California. Which is ironically, neither a city, nor in Nevada, but that’s aside from the point. I can certainly understand why you love the area so much, especially as both your valley and mine are undercut with uncountable abandoned mines ripe for exploring. If you ever find yourselves itching to plumb the depths of someplace new, do please get in touch. Field trip!!!
Hey there guys. The mines you explore are incredible. Wonderful contant. I just wanted to add as a safety measure for your travels list: 1&2. some bike mechanic rubber gloves under fingerless leather gloves to avoid scratches and bacteria . Safely glasses for the water droplets that might fall. A backpack perhaps with a nylon rope, small mini pickaxe and fold shovel. A first aid kit. And for the wet cave inside a waterproof bag. A few dry towels. And some water bottles for you guys. Not hating on the bare daring exploring though. Like the cave history explaining and how they were made. Safe Travels cave explorer's!:)
At the entrance was a chipped drill steel. The shot holes were above your head coming in. Perhaps the back is high because they had to take sill out to get the grade right for drainage after they drove in. Hand drilled rounds were seldom more than a couple of feet; three max.
Tommyknocker: give thanks for the warnings, and to avoid future peril, the miners cast the last bite of their tasty pasties into the mines for the Knockers. I am having a beef pasty now.
I think I know where this is, I explored it once but never went into the mine. I explored quite a few of the hidden mines east of this, very unstable some of them so didn’t venture far.
You could take a lead weight on a line to measure the depth of the flooded whins perhaps. I've done this locally at a 13th century well, of course this won't be a true depth because of the accumulated silt.
If it was a drainage level. Do you think they dug it out for a gradient for the water. Or how much erosion could a lot of water do given that spoilheap.
When I think of exploring old mines, I think of stories of poisonous gasses and miners literally taking canaries into the mine to monitor air quality. I have never heard you talk about this. Are harmful gases not a concern at all?
What an incredible place! Thanks.
Fantastic views both above and below ground!

Awesome vid guys watching from Thailand 😎😎🤘🤘🤘🤘
Awesome thank you!
I love the views
Maybe the mined the floor out in the entrance drift to allow water to drain downward/out.

that noise sounded like a rock being hit on another rock
there is a spooky noise coming from down that black hole, Ioan "follow me", runs down black hole.
🤣😂🤣😂
Do you think they mined the floor to help with water flow?

09:23 at the collapse I see buckets etc. Wondering if that is someone's digging project. Best wishes to them whoever they are!
Do you guys have Instagram at all ? Would love to see some pictures of the mines you visit
Yeah I heard that noise to ay .. has to be rocks falling ? To loud to be water right ?
First
Is that tool at the entrance not a hand drill bit?
ROV down wishing well?
Ashwaganda have fruits? issit flowers?
Awesome vid again guys al get in touch via fb messenger and we can hook up... Someone threw a stone or 2 there 😉
How did you guys breath?
What's the best mine you have ever found ?****
When I think of exploring old mines, I think of stories of poisonous gasses and miners literally taking canaries into the mine to monitor air quality. I have never heard you talk about this. Are harmful gases not a concern at all?
I don’t really believe in ghosts or the paranormal crap really, but did anybody hear a voice @10:14 ?
At 3.29 is that a fault on the right hand side as it was so flat
This the vale of rheidol?
just out of interest whats your safety procedure when entering a mine do you leave a marker outside the portal
We tell some where we are going and what time to expect us back by
Tommy knockers
Tramway ?
Grogwinion?
NOT the image from the thumbnail. 👎
will be in part2 Wednesday it gets better
They re-did the floor to drain it better, and stand up, probably because the original tunnel was mined downhill
