that "HiT Era Skarneas episodes would work better as flashbacks" can also work for The Old Bridge with your rules, remove the Duncan Cameo and it might as well be set in the SKR's early days.
Honestly, I really think it would make so much sense to have The Old Bridge take place in a time where Skarloey was a young engine and it would be more logical for him to not want to have to go over the bridge because of his accident.
Gordon’s Episodes are the best Ones to watch in Hit Era like Gordon Takes Charge, Squeak, Rattle & Roll, Respect For Gordon, It’s Good To Be Gordon & Gordon and the Engineer those Really great episodes in Hit Era
I never thought these episodes would even be fixed but this proved me wrong. For me I would’ve put James as the main character instead of Edward but the rewrite so much better. My favorite rewrites he a to be Edward strikes out for the moral and Thomas’s frosty friend for how ridiculous it is but also Thomas’s naivety. Good luck trying to rewrite the Miller Era episodes
After hearing all these ideas for how these episodes could be better I legit agree with them. You did a great job making these terrible episodes beautiful gems. I would definitely like to see this but with the Miller CGI era as some of those episodes are near impossible to fix. But I honestly would love to see that. Until then keep up the good work James!
I can tell that was come up for these four episodes here was way better than the actual plots of said episodes. Especially the latter two. By the way, I am hardly sure about "James the Second Best", but I highly agree that "Respect For Gordon" was one of the more better episodes of that Era. It's one of my personal favorites from Season 9, and I remember especially liking it back when I first saw it on PBS Kids in the day.
Those are all pretty neat fixes to these stories. The one about Edward telling Rocky to ignore the bullying, expecting it to eventually stop, but doesn't, is quite interesting as this was a situation I dealt with in the Beta era of RUclips. One thing I do to try to get trolls to leave me alone is to just ignore their messages and they stop after a while, but they keep on doing it regardless of whether or not I respond. There was even some guy who kept on leaving spam comments on my DeviantArt page and I got them nearly every minute. Then it went into notes, but each and every time I would just flag this person's comment as spam. Eventually, that user got banned, and good riddance to him. These days, I only block a user if they leave enough spam comments within a short amount of time and block them if I get three or more comments, pretty much doing a "Three Strikes Your Out" scenario. I do unblock them after a couple of months, but sometimes, they just keep coming back. Becoming what I call an "Unblocked Returnee". Earlier this year, I had to block someone indefinitely after having blocked him twice, and he kept on posting the same comments that got him blocked the first two times. More recently, I got another spam comment from someone I was sure had decided to move on from me that I blocked two times before. Although these two users are not real bullies, one was just somebody who kept on posting comments saying that up next were some videos I was never going to make (even after I told him that), and the other was just posting comments that were just a vulgar word with one of the letters replaced with a similar-looking number. I wouldn't consider either of these users to be true trolls or bullies, but they were still annoying. I also like how you decided to make the story about Skarloey the Brave be set in a flashback so it would make more sense why Skarloey acted careless in the episode. I personally had gotten used to the younger portrayal of Skarloey, but I do see why people would have a problem with that, and at least the CGI era made Skarloey act more like his older self, even giving him an old man's voice.
I remember seeing a pretty good rewrite of Edward's Strikes Out which gives Harvey an extended role and makes Edward not rude to Rocky, but instead trying to help Harvey since the crane engine's worried that Rocky will replace him. Also I have an idea for Thomas' Frosty Friend. It's a little silly, but stick with me. Once Thomas leaves the field, the wind gets the Snowman attached to his buffers. Thomas tries to return the balloon to the field but it always ends up back on his buffers much to his and his crew's frustration. Eventually both Thomas and his crew give up and just let it tag along, which it then plays out as you've suggested.
The hit era wasn't as bad as the miller era in my opinion I grew up on the hit era, it wasn't perfect but there are some gems like the two you mentioned and halloween being a fun spooky episode
First of all, there is nothing wrong with pusing the boundaries of your rules. Plus, the Skarloey flashbacks are great idea. Second, I did not expect that idea for Edward Strikes Out. That's a very good idea for an episode. All and all, these stories are MUCH better than what we were given. Well done.
These are much better! I really hope you could do a part 2 of this at some point. As for me, my favorite episodes from that era is prob the same as you, Halloween and Respect for Gordon, and I think the worst episode is unarguably: Push Me, Pull You, the second last episode from Season 12. That is the most unrealistic, and most unmemorable and repercussion-less piece of poorly-written crap I've ever seen in the entire show EVER, and quite possibly the worst note to end on the model Skarloey episodes. Considering how BAD that episode really was, I don't think pen and paper could even do anything to fix this episode. It just has no reason to exist or be rewritten.
I've had "Edward Strikes Out" as a pet project of mine since at least 2017, and it's one of those episodes that works better with hindsight. Because in 2015 we were provided a personification of what Rocky was replacing with Judy and Jerome. Their existence makes both this and "Harvey to the Rescue" more logical, as Edward is concerned for their safety but not sure how to bring those concerns up. So he channels Gordon and takes his concerns and frustrations out on the newcomers. Is it in character for Edward? Not particularly, but it's more logical than him having a personal problem with cranes. (Alternatively, you could have Edward going through a PTSD moment in "Strikes Out" because Rocky is underneath the Big Mickey crane that almost killed him in Series 7, so his issue isn't exactly Rocky, but not being sure how to articulate his fear, he briefly channels Gordon to seem more reasonable and not open himself up to bullying from Big Blue. This is probably more of a stretch than Judy and Jerome, but is an alternative option you can take.) Either way, very great video, quite well put-together.
One of the things to fix the HIT era is Diesel 10's portrayal since he's a villainous evil diesel and that portrayal should be retain for later appearances.
It’s funny, everyone says James, but I kinda think Emily works best for this. She’s kind of an ‘older’ character who you could expect to have some issue with new technology. Plus…it fits her personality to a tee. And retroactively makes her becoming the rescue engine in bwba a more satisfying conclusion.
Also the set dressing look like a post apocalyptic countryside. Also for your Saved You interpretation how about give Annie and Clarabel some wholesome lines for Thomas as a way to comfort him.
In Skarloey the brave it would have also been better if Ivo Hugh was introduced in the show and takes Skarloey's role in that story in my opinion! ❤❤❤❤
James also have some good & Great episodes too like James Gets A New Coat, James Goes Too Far, Keeping Up With James, Jame The Second Best & Dirty Work
I do have a few things on my mind right now is Percy and the Haunted Mine, Middle Engine, Rusty Saves the Day, The Old Bridge, Harold & The Flying Horse, Trusty Rusty, Three Cheers For Thomas, Thomas and the Tuba, Henry and the Wishing Tree, Thomas Saves The Day, Thomas, Emily and the Snowplough, Thomas and the Circus, You Can Do It, Toby!, Chickens To School, Percy And The Magic Carpet, Thomas and the Rainbow, Molly's Special Special, Tuneful Toots, Thomas and the Toy Shop, The Magic Lamp, Percy and the Funfair, Toby's Afternoon Off, Sticky Toffee Thomas, Topped Off Thomas, Thomas & The Birthday Mail, Thomas and the Treasure, Thomas & Skarloey's Big Day Out, Edward and The Mail, Sir Handel in Charge, Thomas and the Spaceship, Henry's Lucky Day, Thomas & The Big Bang, Smoke & Mirrors and Hide and Peep can you do these to.
That was good and I love what you did. If I did Edward strikes out, I would have rewritten it to James strikes out. I do like what you did to save you and that was good.
I think skarloey the brave should be about duke telling a story from the mid sodor railway when smudger when up the incline because he was jealous of Freddie being the brave engine but he was too heavy and breaks the winch and he went down the incline and crashed in a good train
I may be meh on the HiT era but that doesn't mean there are good episodes from it. And seeing these four horrible episodes fixed up put a spring in my step
I had an Idea for Skarloey the brave where Skarloey is Replaced with Aeg Thomas ( i know people dont like aeg but im in the minority that dolerates it) , i should mention that in this canon Aeg Thomas is a Robot built by Ruth
MOHAMMED GEEDI: Here is how I would fix the HiT Era in my opinion - #01: Hire good and decent writers like Jennifer Gould & Joel McCrary #02: Bring back classic characters like Duck, Oliver, Toad, Donald, Douglas, Bill, Ben, etc. #03: Polish and rewrite all of the bad episodes from Seasons 8 to 12 #04: Give the Narrow Gauge Engines and the Sodor Construction Company more lead roles #05: Add some realism, clever writing, common sense and originality to the stories #06: Focus on brand new characters like Molly, Neville, Dennis, Rosie, Whiff & Stanley #07: Rewrite the original steam team closer to their true personalities #08: Cut out any alliteration and rhyming so the narration won't be ruined #09: Give the HiT Entertainment Era a great beginning and a good ending
I don’t mean to be rude whoever those people who are requested the episode, Thomas’ frosty friend well, the episode didn’t need to be changed because it was actually fine come on. I loved that episode.😡😡😡😡
When I was younger, I liked the HIT era better than the previous era. I don't if it was the intro sequence or that I liked Michael Brandon out of all of the other narrators. (I wished he redubbed season 5 and the rest of season 6 before he retired. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Alec Baldwin was bad. But he didn't have the same charm as Michael Brandon.) But watching the first era (along with the other 2 eras after that) I've come to like them equally. But if there was one HIT era episode I liked to see fixed, I would say "Sir Handle takes Charge". Because after watch every Thomas episode ever made, I've noticed that Sir Handle acts differently in seasons 10-12 than he does in season 4.
I agree with you on the first four episodes, but Thomas' Frosty Friend should have just never been made at all, even with your revision of it. I'm not trying to sound mean or anything, I'm really not, I just respectfully disagree with your version.
My favorite rewrites are the ones that keep the framework of the original story, but IMPROVE it!

Honestly, I really think it would make so much sense to have The Old Bridge take place in a time where Skarloey was a young engine and it would be more logical for him to not want to have to go over the bridge because of his accident.
Or, you could have Duncan recolored as just some engine on loan to the SKR
Gordon’s Episodes are the best Ones to watch in Hit Era like Gordon Takes Charge, Squeak, Rattle & Roll, Respect For Gordon, It’s Good To Be Gordon & Gordon and the Engineer those Really great episodes in Hit Era

These being Sodor: A New Era episodes might be great. While I don’t expect this to become a reality, it would indeed be fun.
Yes, Those Fixed-Ups Would Be Good Episodes.

As someone who is very nostalgic for the HiT era, I appreciate your attempt to fix these worst episodes of it.
These are much better! I really hope you could do a part 2 of this at some point.

In my opinion: HiT era is my favorite era. We all grew up with that Thonas era
There are litte things in the episode that will make you laugh
13:57 this ep would be so funny if it was in the miller era
Percy, Emily, and Skarloey are the 3 worst flanderized characters in the HIT era, while Toby and Edward following behind
For Emily, that’s debatable because in series 7 Emily doesn’t even have a personality other than just kind and caring.
I've had "Edward Strikes Out" as a pet project of mine since at least 2017, and it's one of those episodes that works better with hindsight.

I love these ideas! It makes all of these episodes so much better!
So Thomas' Frosty Friend with the Thomas Sets Sail gimmick in it kinda
I think James should take Edward's role for a rewritten story or maybe change Edward that he's sticking up for Rocky instead of making him worse.
My personal pick would actually be Henry, because we very rarely saw Henry's jerk side in the HiT Era.
At least Henry ain’t coward like in season 19, and James has a kind side in the HIT era
I hope someone would adapt these stories to good use.
6:28 I always had the same feeling
Also the set dressing look like a post apocalyptic countryside.
Also for your Saved You interpretation how about give Annie and Clarabel some wholesome lines for Thomas as a way to comfort him.

Can you also made a video about how you would fix the worst Classic Episodes too please? Or did you already made a video.
That was good and I love what you did. If I did Edward strikes out, I would have rewritten it to James strikes out. I do like what you did to save you and that was good.
Excellent Job
I think skarloey the brave should be about duke telling a story from the mid sodor railway when smudger when up the incline because he was jealous of Freddie being the brave engine but he was too heavy and breaks the winch and he went down the incline and crashed in a good train
Each four episodes you rewrited were great, well done 👍

MOHAMMED GEEDI: Here is how I would fix the HiT Era in my opinion -
#01: Hire good and decent writers like Jennifer Gould & Joel McCrary
#02: Bring back classic characters like Duck, Oliver, Toad, Donald, Douglas, Bill, Ben, etc.
#03: Polish and rewrite all of the bad episodes from Seasons 8 to 12
#04: Give the Narrow Gauge Engines and the Sodor Construction Company more lead roles
#05: Add some realism, clever writing, common sense and originality to the stories
#06: Focus on brand new characters like Molly, Neville, Dennis, Rosie, Whiff & Stanley
#07: Rewrite the original steam team closer to their true personalities
#08: Cut out any alliteration and rhyming so the narration won't be ruined
#09: Give the HiT Entertainment Era a great beginning and a good ending
Maybe James would took edward place then it will be called James strike out
I loved what you did with these episodes. I kinda want to know Miller Era episodes (seasons 13-16) would you rewrite.
Nice.
So season 8 is the ONLY good season from the HIT era
How I’d Fix the HiT Era
Thomas, Duck and the Snowplough
Sir Handel the Brave
James Strikes Out
Percy’s Frosty Friend
If you’re gonna do more I will recommend Henry and the wishing tree.
The steam team homestly made Thomas, Gordon, James, Percy overused and i got stick of them. The show was better as an essamble with all the characters
Can u do another tier list but this time the cgi charecters
Yo why the fuck he ain’t write the episodes?
I don’t mean to be rude whoever those people who are requested the episode, Thomas’ frosty friend well, the episode didn’t need to be changed because it was actually fine come on. I loved that episode.😡😡😡😡
Wow

Watch “A Smooth Ride” to find out why his personality changed.
I agree with you on the first four episodes, but Thomas' Frosty Friend should have just never been made at all, even with your revision of it. I'm not trying to sound mean or anything, I'm really not, I just respectfully disagree with your version.
Can you do a how to fix caling all engines
You’re a tank engine, not a festival flow.
Do all engine go and bwbba
