I recently enrolled in Jeff's course on JavaScript for eLearning. My experience so far has been fantastic. I'm excited to enhance my advanced instructional design skills through this course. Thank you, Jeff! ~Waleed

So great to hear Waleed! Please let me know if something gets confusing. It is a new course so want to make it as good as possible.

I am totally excited about this. I have been struggling for a while, trying to learn JavaScript.
One specific application would be to have a downloadable certificate of completion... I have seen instructions elsewhere, but none are well explained, and I have not been able to get it right...

Yeah let me know how it goes in the course. Hope it makes sense. The cert is doable through a print screen but yeah also some JS code. I can add that as something to include in the part when we get to Storyline.

I'll be signing up for this, Jeff! Looking forward to it - especially given how much I appreciate your teaching style. Don't know if you're going to cover this, but I'd be particularly interested in learning with a view to how JavaScript in Storyline can take advantage of xAPI. A recent simple thing I did was use JS to call a student's name from the LMS, and have that automatically display on a slide when the timeline started. But ... I've just found that the JS doesn't work when publishing in cmi5 format - rather than the incredibly ancient SCORM formats.
Sorry ... went on a bit of a ramble there! Anyway ... looking forward to the course 👍

I do cover JSON which is very helpful for xAPI. My xAPI course does cover the JS to do custom things so maybe the two courses together could help.

Thank you and have a great day .. Is there any way to make Storyline fully responsive

    • @LearningDojo

I wish but no. Their answer to responsiveness is Rise and I hear Rise will be adding variables and custom triggers soon so I think they will expand that more than make Storyline responsive.

    "Hello, sir,
I have a question about the GSAP Generator.
When I change the Canvas Width and Height, the X and Y positions in the storyline do not remain the same.
Is there anything I can do to maintain accurate object positions when using the GSAP Generator?"
Let me know if you'd like further tweaks!

It is not easy but I do cover that in this video ruclips.net/video/LzUQXMCd8Sc/видео.html however there is an update with Storyline coming soon that fixes that issue and solves the positioning problem. I show how that will work here ruclips.net/video/c0EW36joDWQ/видео.html. Not sure when it is coming but it is in BETA now.

Will this also be available on Udemy?

Probably not for a bit no. Maybe down the road but this is early bird access as I still develop it and I kind of like the idea of building communities around the course so still debating even if I even want to put it on Udemy.
