I love everyone from Lincoln who commented. Understand this is the same things we have been saying to each other. At this point this should be a wake up call that it is time for everyone to strive to be better musicians. He definitely did not do this to bash anyone it was showing what lack of programming and recruiting can do. If you want to really make a difference comment under a video of his in a year or two and ask him to review the improvement of the program since this video. That will truly be the determining factor that proves WE are better than what WE presented.
@@aysianicole6038 love I am a graduate of Lincoln and work with the band. The product we gave out has nothing to do with anything you said. Those are excuses. We need practice and i don’t mean repetitive playing….I mean the basic fundamentals of music for every player.

@@KCCGUniversity Well said and received. Music is an art and like any good piece, you have to dedicate the time to learn the intricate details and put in the time to become great! The talent is there, they just have to believe it and nurture it.
Livingstone college just produced a wonderful peformance at there last basketball game. I do recall you talking down on livingstone. would you ever do a video based on there improvement ?
I went to LU, MO. The band program was cut for a couple of yrs. Moreover, they are just now rebuilding the band program backup. it's going to take alumni from the band to give back.
2021 season was my sons 4th yr & 1st season as section lead for the sousaphones. I was so shocked to hear he was wanting to quit after playing since elementary. Definitely the bands worst year. So sad
Exactly, brightened and more compositional depth as far as part diversity for every section. All these bands are trying to blow loud and we hear all the cracks. Play to your strengths, In Lincoln’s case, they aren’t playing together as a unified unit.
@@Buck5thatbandguy shout out to you being a UAPB alum, my late father and some other friends of mine went there back in the day when it was Arkansas AM&N College
Everybody to busy trying to blast and sound like you're big.... Thanks to Southern and JSU, everybody feel they have to straight out blast. No control, no tuning, nothing. Everything you said is correct
It definitely starts off early with the fundamentals. If a kid has experience to black directors and musicians, especially HBCUs, it might peak their interest more. Congratulations on 200 subs 👏🏿
atp you just dragging us the whole way but called out all the music we was playing. if anything tell us things to make us better dont just drag us. you sound like a hater really🤷🏾♀️
@@Buck5thatbandguy oh I’m not asking you to rag I just would like you to give positive feedback if it deserves it. As well as, just getting some positive publicity for the school.
I'm a Lincoln (MO) alum also and yeah while it mos def wasn't their best performance, but hey there's no way to go but up for the "Marching Musical Storm"!!!
The real problem is the lack of quality leadership. This is not the first sorry band director. The one who taught the current band director was horrible as well. Lincoln University needs to find a quality Band Director to lead the program. It is not the students it is the lack of a qualified director. They are embarrassing and it is the Directors fault. I will be nice and not call there names.
@JollyMatrix We Know What Our Problem Was, We Had Just Gotten Off The Bus From A Long Ride & Immediately Had To Get On The Field. He Definitely Doesn’t Know Us & If He Wanted To Really Know How We Play, Come See Us In Person💯
@@darealhoncho9611 But can y’all really use that as an excuse? I march at Central State University as a snare drummer, and there has been times where we had to march from the bus to the field and straight onto the field to get ready for halftime. And this was when the weather was hot. But we still pushed through and performed to the best of our abilities. No band is perfect, so just take the criticism and try to improve the band.
@@darealhoncho9611 no the problem is this performance wasn't acceptable for a Middle School level musician let alone a HS. I know about being tired and performing but this performance sounds like there a LACK of musical training going on from lack of leadership.
You don't say. Rust College is a college that was not on my radar until you mentioned them just now. I've got to check them out to see if they truly are a "need help ' band. Thanks for the comment.

Word! He is disappointed in the level of talent compared to what he brings. I can definitely feel him on that.
I just want to say we have actually have improved since this day LUBT WE YALL WE GOT LU..BT
The arranger needs to explore different cord structures. They need to be brighten up in a lot of places.

You've said something in your observation.
That’s the most dumb and idiotic statement I’ve ever saw in my life…. How you blame two dominant programs for another program sounded trash 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

💯 correct! My plan is to expose them outside the educational system.

Why don’t you do Shaw university
Shaw actually sounds decent for their instrumentation. I'm not ragging on high schools or smaller bands that actually represent well.

Yea it’s very obvious they dnt spend much time in sectionals…..the dancers did an ok job though 🤷🏾♂️
Obviously! Appreciate you watching.
You should do FVSU vs. Albany St from this past season -> ruclips.net/video/fAP1q-5pVkc/видео.html
Southern University does blast and has no tonenation.
The drills look good but they didn’t sound good 😂😂😂
But they sound a little bit better now 👍👌
TExas College(HBCU), Tyler Texas sounds just as bad!
Blue tigers
There’s no excuse for a college program to sound this bad
there's no excuse for a Middle School to sound this bad. College should be out of the question.
