This is perfect to watch while I'm editing photos. What settings do you use on your Pocket 2 for the video? I'm looking to shoot a video like this in my city.
Bro , i really like all your videos , I'm still thinking about what zoom lens should I get , is it this Sony 70-200F4 or the Tamron 70-180F2.8 , I don't usually shoot on lowlight because i have other lens for that .. just want to use a zoom lens for some events under the sun and some landscape .. it's 2021 and there's a lot of new lenses out there .. so it's hard to choose what I really need ..
You should definitely do that iPhone comparison video. I really would love to see you go into the details of how each one has its pros & cons. I started photography with just an iPhone & now, a year later, I am still resorting back to my iPhone for certain shots because that iPhone camera is truly something amazing. If you do make that video, can you explain why the iPhone camera is able to compete with $1500 cameras ? That seems to just puzzle me, anyway, great video ! Subbed !
amazing work as always, when you use your manual focus do you use focus peacking? And another question, when you edit your photos, do you usually run them to make them look closer? sometimes it seems like you use a 400mm and not a 200mm hehehe
Thanks! i usually stick to auto focus +touch focus, for detailed shots i would use focus peaking but for run and gun situations i stick to touch focus. and the only thing i do while edits is simple color grading+exposure fixes. hope that helps!
I have recently got into photography. I absolutely love your videos! I’m ballin on a budget and want to get a good camera. I have a 11 Pro Max and didn’t know if I should take photos with it or with a cheaper DSLR? Your thoughts and recommendations! Thank you
tbh with that iphone 11 pro max you are better off than most of the beginners! i'd say use that for now but if you are really into the entry cameras, i'd look into the EOS RP for canon and the A6300/6400 for Sony.
@@DannyKimHD awesome dude! Thanks for the reply. I was researching a few cameras and the MP on some are exactly the same as the iPhone. Could I buy lenses to go on the actual phone that would be comparable to some dslr lenses? Obviously not a 300mm lenses of course but something that would improve some photos?
@@coastaldetailandtint5655 unfortunately there aren’t any lenses out there that would be compatible for both an iphone and a dslr. That being said, there are lenses specifically for your iphone that enhances performance. But its more about how you operate it than what gear you have, so make good use of your iphone!
Had to subscribe your photos are dope! I’m going to be hitting up the city for the first time ever with my 70-200mm we should definitely shoot if you read this lol
The thing with the iPhone camera vs any dedicated camera, is that the iPhone takes away control. It does all the processing for you and delivers a final jpeg (ye I know you can edit that further). While the dedicated camera will let YOU generate that final jpeg. It gives you full control. But ofc that takes much more work and is harder to do. But if you like iPhone photography and the results you get from the phone more, then that is totally valid :) I’m just saying, one gives you more control than the other. (Btw, I’m not advocating doing that kind of gross hdr photography that you can probably imagine in your head right now :P (I’ve been through a phase like that...))
Hey Danny. May I ask why you take so many shots of still subjects? I am just an amateur here and I am very much a beginner so this is just my curiosity and my 'want' to learn.
I tend not to incorporate much motion blur to my pictures. i guess its just a personal preference. i can always drop the shutter speed for some dynamic changes but personally i shoot with a pretty high shutter speed for clearness. Even with motions involved (ex. walking/running/car movement) my general rule of thumb is to shoot at a shutter speed equivalent or higher than your focal length. So for example if you have a 50mm lens, the lowest shutter speed i would go is 1/50. if i expect a lot of movement, i go double that, if not higher. If you are asking about the burst mode, i just like to pick and choose from the bunch instead of clicking every time for it.
at 12:55 the picture is too bright on the camera screen but when you press the shutter button it's okay. Almost all pictures in live view are overexposed befor pressing the shutter button. Why it's doing that?
It mostly has to do with the quality of my pocket 2(POV camera). I also do post color grading so that it looks different from how it would look right off the bat.
Lol the phone does not have better dynamic range than the sony. You just need to learn how to expose properly or stack exposures to get the perfect image. Is the phone easier? Yes. Better? Definitely not.
Smartphone don't havea a really great dynamic range. They just take multiple photos so if you bracket and merge 5 photos at 2 stops, no smartphone will compare. Besides, it just looks overdone and fake. The only thing that really improved on smartphones is raw, and Google that started the computational raw trend.
knowing your budget is very important when it comes to buying gear. id say your investment should be more towards a good lens rather than the body if you want photos of airplanes
OMG when you " I don't want to walk fast because you'll sound out of breath" Same thing happens to me lmfao I am in tears
that is so true. Couple of years ago when I was in Toronto, walking around and yes you could see CN tower from anywhere in Toronto ! so cool.
Honestly didn’t know about clear image zoom… but game changer and learned that from your video! Thanks!
Love your videos man, keep up that great work!
pretty underrated! great videos.
Dude you got some absolute bangers real nice video as usual man!
Thanks man! glad you are enjoying it
Really enjoyed this video !

I love the vintage lut you use, where can I see it or buy it? Greetings from Perú
Hey Danny,
I am considering investing in the FE 70-200 F4 lens. I just wanted your thoughts on the auto focus speed?
really enjoyed the video Danny! thanks for sharing!
this was so good
really great work dude.
Wooow, just been paralysed during the video, very nice work 👏

Damn bro, you are so underrated. Keep it up!
I like your settings dude .. keep it up .. nice shot ..
I'm thinking of getting this lens but I'll just get the 20mm first haha ..
thanks for the positive feedback!
the iPhone always shoots in brackets when it comes to exposing the sky etc. iPhone dynamic range is actually way worse when recovering shadows .
I'm italian. I love your videos 📸
Good stuff bro! Where you been at though? We need more content
Nice video dude love it ✌🏻💥. Greats from Spain 🙋🏼♂️
Nice work man loved it 👌👌👌👌👌
appreciate it!
Hi Bro, is 70-200 F4 is worth it in you opinion compare to Tamron 70-180 2.8 ?

Sony 70-200mm F2.8 GM II or Tamron 35-150mm F2-2.8 would be a much better option than the old 70-200mm F4.
@@chrispoulsen_ and they cost 2 and 3 times more then the 70-200F4
@@Krachowsky yes and? I only want the best possible. Never go with second best. 70-200mm F2.8 GM II is a beast.
What’s your AF mode in the video ? AF-S or AF-C ? Wide ? Flexible spot ? Pleaaase 🙏🏻
Cool video) 👍🏼👍🏼
really nice footage and photos
If just one lense, this one or the Fe 85 1.8?
Great shots!
Great stuff 👌🏻
Do you use mic to record your voice ?
Really love the vid. I’m doing povs too on my channel mythical funny but I was wondering.do you have any presets for your photos?
Love your work man! What is your main go to lens you use the most?
Also are those gloves warm for winter? haha
haha like i told you on instagram my go to would be the 28-75 tamron!
these are a must, especially touch sensitive gloves haha
Great shot...

Didn’t expect the F4 look good comparing with 2.8, would rather get F4 instead
The lower aperture is nice, but honestly F4 is good enough for sure

Are u using a 2x converter on Thai lens in some shots
nope! instead i use Clear image zoom (for sony cameras only). just digitally enhancing the zoom by X2
@@DannyKimHD so do I understand correctly that you are shooting jpeg? Or am I missing some settings? CIZ only works in jpeg mode for me
Most of the times i stay on RAW. But only when i need the extra punch ill change it to jpeg, and once im done i immediately jump back to RAW.
iPhone photograher great settings
Cann u teach us, how do you color grade your picture
ill do an editing video one day!
Should i buy this lens for 1000 euros on amazon? I can maybe get 21% tax off too, worth it??
Hmm im not too sure when it comes to euros. Seems kinda steep to me. Im sure you can find cheaper second hands

Second hand lenses in mint conditions usually go for 60-70% of MSRP.
