Develop a fundraising strategy to cover costs.
Fundraising Strategy:
Evaluate past fundraising efforts.
Identify successful fundraising mechanisms.
Brainstorm fundraising prospects for the next year.
Create a timeline for fundraising activities.
Programming and Program Evaluation:
Measure program impact through data collection.
Analyze results and identify areas for improvement.
Integrate program evaluation into budget and planning processes.
Board of Directors Development:
Conduct board assessments to measure skills, engagement, and contributions.
Identify gaps and set goals for board development.
Provide necessary training and support for board members.
Strategic Planning:
Conduct a SWOT analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
Prioritize goals based on the SWOT analysis.
Develop a timeline and resource plan for achieving goals.
Assign responsibilities to team members.
Create a strategic plan to guide organizational growth.

I am grateful to have discovered your channel. Your content has been incredibly engaging and informative, offering valuable insights that have significantly aided me in establishing my nonprofit organization. Currently, I have assembled a board of directors consisting of four individuals, myself included. However, I find myself challenged in determining suitable roles and responsibilities for these board members, as well as identifying potential positions that could be developed to optimize the board's effectiveness. While I am clear on my role as the founder and executive director, I seek guidance on structuring the board to ensure optimal functionality and alignment with our organization's objectives. Please help me .

Hello, what accounting software would you recommend?
Hi Amber! Thanks for another helpful video! I am currently working on the 2024 budget and program planning. We are looking for 2 new board members and focusing on volunteer recruitment for our programs. I'd like to develop a handbook for volunteers and a board member agreement like you mentioned. I think a SWOT analysis in each of the areas you covered could help us too.
Do you have any videos on policies and procedures? I'd like to make sure we have solid policies and procedures in place, but I'm not really sure where to start, or what all we need. Any guidance you can give would be great!

@AmberMelanieSmith honestly I'd like to know about any and all that are common for nonprofits to have in place for things related to volunteers (we require clearances for example), keeping donor records, adding/removing board members, public relations, etc. Thank you so much!
When filling to start nonprofit, what's the pros and cons of filling as member base, or director base ?
If you have a membership model, I think all designated as members get a vote (ex: 100 members pay dues, and then all 100 vote on some org decisions). Some find this cumbersome, but if you are counting on membership dues, it may be acceptable to you.

Morning, I have a foundation which deal with girl child, we support and motivate them with life and education, more specially child headed families and those who are living with grannies. Oh my question, director of development, how much should they be paid for helping with fund raising?

How many people of one family can be the paid member of a nonprofit?
Well, a Board of Directors made up of non-related community members first has to vote to hire the Executive Director and decides what their salary is. Then, the Executive Director hires the staff they supervise. Nonprofits are also required to have a conflict of interest policy that outlines how they will avoid participating in votes or decisions that create unfair personal benefit to Board or ED.
