We have definitely noticed an improvement with flavor as trees mature with several varieties we grow. Coconut Cream improves with age in our experience.
I just planted one, I can't wait. Sounds wonderful. I live on the Treasure Coast and just getting into tropical fruits; presently have a Carrie, NDM and Pickering.
@@Kewlneasy Great to hear! It's such a good fruit. Ours took several years to produce, but we planted it as a tiny 3g tree. You will have a jump start :)
I just got a tree, its starting to open up, Thanks for the maturing advice. There is like literally NO info on this mango out there. after watching this video thinking about getting another tree.. how big has your tree gotten in these years? height and width? I need to plan carefully on my 1/4 acre or so.
top 5; nam doc mai, pickering (pina colada), po pyu kalay (lemon meringue) glenn, coconut cream. i also want; Lemon zest, orange sherbert, diamond, cessie love, ruby, Fairchild, sunrise, kryptonite, Angie, sunburst, carrie, gold nugget. but i only have room for maybe 7.
Ann Mae - Nice list! No Fruit Punch or Sweet Tart? So many delicious mangos available in Florida, it is hard to choose. We have multigrafted a couple of our trees just to have a branch of budwood available for future propagation. It's not always ideal, but a friend of ours has several productive trees with multiple varieties on each tree. If space is a factor and you match varieties with similar growth patterns on the same tree, it seems to work well.
I remember when I used to live in key West. Mango is still my favorite fruit. And you can tell how good it is because your wife and daughter can't wait to get theirs. Love it! What sing is this you play at the beginning?
Thanks for watching! We are all eagerly awaiting the coconut cream mangos again this year. We plan to put in another tree. The song is The Mango Song by Marty Robbins. It's available on iTunes. I have it set as my ring tone ~Celeste
Sulcata Grove we got down to 15, but I have a temporary greenhouse around the tree and a heat lamp in there. Most leaves turned brown but the truck and branches look good. Will affect this year's fruit but hopefully will recover! I love tropical fruits. My grandparents still love in Dade county and there 50 year old mangoes just got blown over by the recent hurricane. They had someone stand them back up so we'll see if they survive. Thanks for the excellent videos, I really enjoy watching them! Mouth watering for sure!
I had planned on planting a Coco Cream until I heard the folks on TFF saying the M-4 blows away the CC. Would love to see you guys do E-4 & M-4 reviews.
Steve M I haven’t tried M4 yet, but am still very happy with my CC tree after trying E4 - plan to plant an E4 too though. CC is creamier and more coconuty than E4. I was thinking of putting in a Pineapple Pleasure but plan to wait for E4 to be released instead after tasting them side by side. I don’t think we will have time to go to the east coast for mangos this summer :(
I am planning on buying a box of coconut cream mango from Miami fruit and hopefully I can plant one and lives since I live in California
your video just cemented this as the next tree i will try and grow :) been hearing so many good things about this variety already
great video. thanks
Jerry heath - Thanks for watching!
Such an adorable little girl

I want one of these for my collection,, keep looking at the nurseries but haven’t got my hands on one yet
It’s a patented variety which is propagated at Zills. Hope you find one. It’s a great fruit.
@@SulcataGrove I just planted a nom dok mai and a lemon meringue,, getting our food Forrest going,,

that sounds like a possibility.
He never gives anyone a piece of mango before he eats it. 😩
I'm so jealous... I'd do anything for that Coconut Cream Mango seed you probably threw away...
It was planted. We plant most of our seeds. Send us an email, and we can send you a seed next year if our tree survives Irma :)
@The Rebel I have that mango tree in my garden.... I am from Maharashtra, India🇮🇳

Sulcata Grove I now love on Houston and am trying to grow mango. It's sure a lot more difficult here. =(
Hope you are able to have fruit from your tree. We hit 30 the other morning and the mangos did great. The bananas took a hard hit.
