I got my Launchpad today and was wishing so bad for a M4SONIC tutorial. Thank you for explaining logically and concisely. My understanding of how to use this is over 9000 compared to 6 minutes and 44 seconds ago.

Add an Audio "If on mac press cmd + T" then change it from "Off" to "In", after that make the Audio From "Ext. in" and Audio To "Master", finally press The Circle down to make it Red "Record Mode" There just press the Record on top of Ableton then press on any empty Button on that new Audio u just added " a red Light should come on your Launchpad Button you pressed" That means its recording "After finishing recording just go to the Button you recorded on and double click it then right click on the Black Lines "Sounds Visuals" and select "Show In Finder" there you should get the MP3 u recorded! "it's really complicated if u have trouble then send me your skype and i'll share my screen with you and show u c:!"

Yeah I got an APC 40 for Christmas last year. I think with the Launchpad and APC 40 it would be a really powerful combo, because you have full mixer control on your APC 40 and then you can play drum racks and instruments on the Launchpad

create a new midi track, in from launchpad, out to launchpad, that will have the lights show up, but mainly for the user 1 mode... when you put clips / sound files onto the ableton live display it should (if your midi settings are correct for the launchpad) light up without problem.
the program is Ableton Live. a special version of the program comes with the Launchpad. It has more than the Starter, but less than the Standard (iirc). You can also get Ableton separately, and it will have more features. The Launchpad also works with LOADS of other software, such as Reason, FL Studio, and the Launchpad S is designed to work with FL Studio as intuitively and fluidly as it Ableton Live. Hope this helps!

No, you have to download ableton live, you can find it for Windows 7 too.

I can't get lights to work on my launchpad, really annoying. They all work but when I put on User 1 they stop... Please help
