Did you save only the window in Photoshop? How did you get the video to show through the layer with the window? When you import back into AE, are you importing as footage or a composition?

Thanks for your question! Yes I import as a composition and only use the window layer in my video comp, basically ignoring the still frame background

Do the aligh surface get tracking data or only a ref position base on the trackers? Does it make any difference to hit the aligh S before hit tracking?

Good question, I believe Align surface can be used a couple different ways, in this case I’m using it to initially align the surface with the composition parameters before tracking. Hope this makes sense, thanks for watching.

how did you export psd file only with generative fill? In this case only window layer?

good question - you need to rasterize the gen fill layer and use the select and mask or selection tools to remove the outer portions of where the wall meets the window - some basic photoshopping if youre familiar with it- Thanks for watching!

Thanks for this. Only, when I hit Apply Export the .psd layer disappears. Any ideas?

Are you exporting within After Effects?

Thank you for your reply. Turns out it was my own dumb mistake. I was working with 4K footage on a 1080 timeline so the proportions were getting blown out.
