Saw it back in to 80’s. Never forget when my mother’s born again Christian friend saw the tour program on the dining room table. She said my brother and I were going to hell. Ironically, her kids turned out to be derelicts and we were pretty successful. LOL.
This song is about a dream Steve Harris had after he watch the Horror Movie Omen 2. The current drummer Nicko McBrain is a massive Christian and was the bloke in the Devil suit in this very song;-) Welcome to the rabbit hole and to the Maiden family, Brother;) Iron Maiden are the GREATEST(live;)BAND in the world now and forever with the best back catalogue in any genre, which also includes their latest album Senjutsu that came out in 2021. No other band has been this consistent over 47 plus years (1975 till now) with 17 awesome studio albums, with great song after great song musically and with the art of their mascot Ed - (The Head),...aka Eddie;-P There are so many brilliant songs for you to discover,...I'm a bit jealous of the fact that you get to hear them all for the very first time;-D Enjoy! Up the mighty Irons!!!!!
The band basically revolves around the bass player, Steve Harris, one of the great best players in contemporary music. With that said, lead vocalist, Bruce Dickerson is a bit of a renaissance man besides having a hell of a singing voice. He is also a sword, fighter, and a commercial airline pilot for virgin airlines when not on tour or in the studio
I was a little kid and my best friend's brother had this poster up in his bedroom and it terrified me. Little did I know that a few years later, I would be obsessed with all things metal...
@azzajames7661 Well imho, i think that 'Women In Uniform' and ' Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter' are relatively throwaway! All the bands that i love are prone to a few under par numbers, and i think that fanatics sometimes won't allow themselves to see this. If Maiden or any other band have a success rate of 90+ percent, then i would say that was an exceptional return, but if you genuinely believe that the immune to a lacklustre song, nothing i can do will change your mind!
@Owlstretchingtime78 Um, Women in Uniform is a song by Skyhooks, which is an Australian band, so it's only a cover. Also, Bring Your Daughter... to the Slaughter was technically meant to be a Bruce Dickinson solo song, so it isn't a Maiden song per se and was never supposed to be an Iron Maiden song. Frontman Bruce originally wrote the rocker as his first solo outing, spurred by an invitation to appear on the soundtrack of 1989’s A Nightmare On Elm Street 5: The Dream Child. Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter springboarded when released as a single on Christmas Eve 1990. It became the band’s - and heavy metal’s - first UK number one single six days later, staying atop the chart as the new year dawned. Kicking Cliff Richard from a Christmas number one, so well done, Maiden👏 There’s no denying that Bring me your Daughter… to the Slaughter, briefly lifted Iron Maiden to the very top of the commercial mountain - not just in metal, but all of music. It is not my favourite song, but when it comes on, I will gladly listen to it😜

This is EXCITING ...Iron Maiden a True Band
Saw this live on Legacy of the Beast tour. Such a misunderstood song back in my youth during the Satanic Panic. Geez, people were stupid.
Some still are and they brought all their friends, too;-)

Maiden is Badass! One of Britain`s biggest Metal Bands of all time. "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" next Please!
Not just Britain's, but the best Metal band;-)
The bass player came up with the lyrics when he had a nightmare after seeing the movie “The Omen” which I think is pretty funny.
Maiden Fans rejoice! This was my first Iron Maiden album and I wore it out!
You weren't alone, mate;-)

Another great review. Check out their live version of Hallowed be thy name from 1982.
Sacrifice is going on tonight!
The bassist seen Omen 2 and had a nightmare and this is his nightmare that he had.
The very tall fellow on stage was Eddie, Eddie meet JMBoy....

Best metal cover ever?
Iron Maiden never did a bad song. True to their craft.
In 47 odd years to never produce a bad song is just mind-blowing;-)
Every band has done a bad song or two. Just ask a band member. From The Beatles to Maiden, there's always a few duffers!
@@Owlstretchingtime78Name me a song that isn't up their normally great standard?

Wow 😮
Wow that's 🔥🔥🔥
The great actor Vincent Price is speaking in the beginning. I saw the band in concert in 1980. They were great!
@@utubnagain … Sounds like Vincent Price to me.
@@dianefiske-foy4717that's cos he was an impersonator.😂
@@BardicJim … Oh. Ok. Thanks 😊!
*They still are great, mate;-)
Barry Clayton… Price was apparently too expensive at time to get the gig…
