We have to see into how much detail Season 2 will go which will obviously bring us to New Vegas region, where the NCR had at least prior a notable footprint. Shady Sands being gone doesn't (not on its own) mean its the death of the whole NCR. Although it seems to have fallen on hard times in the aftermath. But it was like what, half a million+ people. I'm from a small fishing town south of Lisbon, Portugal, and this song makes me feel like a sunglasses-wearing teenager in a California summer in the 80s.
It really makes me laugh that in California you can't use automatic rifles and ironically in the game the NCR soldiers use the Service RF that only fires 20 bullets in semi automatic
@@thebagdit6082 think of it less of most of the guns they have being California compliant and more of civil war excuse of not buying Henry rifles because the troops would use too much ammo!
I think the lack of explanation to the viewer is what irks people. It is "realistically" perfectly possible that what happened at Shady Sands may have lead to lots of dominos falling, infighting, instability. Of course we can all likely agree SS being gone doesn't just equal the whole NCRs death. By % loss alone there were more cities. But it's possible that there may have been infighting or other factors that gradually lead to this or further decline.
@@Unknown-ek1ox Yes, and I quite understand how they got this. Given that the series is a Frankenstein of all Fallout games, they simply went with Fallout 2's, a nuke to the faction's HQ and it is "defeated". The problem is the NCR is not the Enclave, they were a functioning Nation spread along 5 States in a Union with many cities, if I remeber, Shady Sands was not even the biggest city in the Republic. I believe that the showrunners simply used Fallout lore without understanding any of it, much like bad fanfiction. I actually would be ok with a NCR down in the dumps or fractured into competing City States trying to be the successor State of the NCR, but they went with the stupid and lazy option...
@@alexandreutiyama547Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if they reveal that the remaining NCR government relocated to the Hub in season 2 as a way to keep fans from asking too much questions. I do enjoy the show, but events like the near destruction of a faction like the NCR needs more explanation. This is an example of why being too vague can destroy the potential of a plot. I really do hope they finally give an answer to this question as many people are confused and curious with the actual fate of the NCR.
@@EldritchDoggo Sure do hope so, maybe the lack of explanation in season 1 was not to overwhelm non fans, since the show is more of a gateway of Fallout to the general public. But i'm really negative about the prospects, since during the show they are quite adamant that the NCR failed just like Maximus said "It didn't work out." and given that most responses about the show are positive, I don't see the showrunners listening to disgruntled neckbeards (me) from Classic Fallout.
@@alexandreutiyama547 Well, just because they failed doesn't mean they're gone. Besides, it's not just the old fans but also new fans to as well who are curious. There surely must be holdouts or remnants going on, maybe the NCR was just reduced a lot in the wider area we see in the first season.
Or did I miss key dialogue or info in S1 that states that clearly the whole NCR is in shambles or gone?

It really makes me laugh that in California you can't use automatic rifles and ironically in the game the NCR soldiers use the Service RF that only fires 20 bullets in semi automatic
@@thebagdit6082 think of it less of most of the guns they have being California compliant and more of civil war excuse of not buying Henry rifles because the troops would use too much ammo!
Dont mind me, just copium after the tv show doing a last jedi on me:
"Somehow the ncr stopped existing".
I mean wtf...
The NCR will obviously play a role in the show. Plus, the NCR is literally one of the most popular factions behind the Brotherhood of Steel and Enclave. They're just too popular to get rid of for merchandise.
