A true classic in the brass lexicon! Every brass player has either played this masterpiece or wants to. There are better versions on YT, like German Brass or Chicago brass but this one's very nice. The fact these faculty members, particularly the 1st trumpet and trombone, are having intonation problems and missing notes tell you it's not an easy piece to perfrom.
Carlos Sanchez, what the trumpet's (and to some degree trombone's) performance problems attest is that these couple of professors have not maintained a skill level that even many amateurs possess. Yes, their job is teaching, not performing. This piece is not really that difficult in terms of required technique. And intonation problems have NOTHING to do with the technical difficulty of the piece being played. The rest of the quintet played better though, and aside from the 'clams' being blown, it was still an enjoyable performance of a great piece.

Very nice! I love this quintet.
I think I heard the very accomplished horn player play this way back in '79. Best wishes from the 2nd trumpet.
