Awesome review & comments! Mystical Moments has been one of my favorite decks of all time; the colors are soft and palatable, and the scenes are easy to read!
Oh thank you for watching! Glad you enjoyed the review. She is a beauty, I must get her out again this coming winter 🍁
Oh, Tarot of the Mystical Moments! I bought it 2 weeks ago! I love it but it got neglected very fast hahaha. Still need that moment of “I think I need the deck for this”.
Tried everyday readings but I wasn't feeling connected to it but I'm sure it's staying in my team because I'm confident that it has a purpose I didn't discovered it yet for it!
The only card I don't like is the female Emperor... As someone who is POC it feels like a colonizer image for me... The costume, the hair/wig, the strings, the silhouettes attached to the strings.
I do use all the cards though (even the female Emperor). I can extract different ways of interpreting the cards based on the imagery hahaha.
For now I'd define this deck as the mist of the morning in the woods even though the cards are more like a garden.
Interesting! Thank you for watching and your experience so far. I found some of the images of people of various ethnicities not quite fitting or appropriate and I appreciate your take on the female emperor. I need to return to it. I loved the Queen of Wands. This is a very airy-earthy deck for me but you say it so well, a mist in the morning. I hope you connect with it at some point and have further thoughts on it. 🌸🌻🦉
Thanks so much for this review Neha. I have only ever seen 'first impressions', so having a 'one month later' review is super useful. Even though I was intrigued, I never bought this deck because the "what's the point of this specific image" always bothered me, and hearing you bring it up has confirmed it for me. I like to know the 'why' so I can file that bit of information away and possibly use it when needed. Thanks again
Thanks for watching Angela and your thoughts on the deck. It is a beautiful deck and I have enjoyed working with it albeit I would have liked more info as you mentioned... Thanks for stopping by!
I LOVE it ! Thank you for another lovely, interesting and inspiring video🧡🌺😊
Thank you for watching 🍂✨🧙🏽🌳
I always appreciate your reviews! This is a deck that I have been eyeing for months, and it’s so good to get your thoughts and experiences. It is beautiful indeed, I’m sure I will pick it up in the future xo
Awe thanks Tamara 🌸. It is so lovely, and definitely a useful deck for personal reading or readings for others. ✨ Thank you for watching 🦋
The Tarot of the Mystical Moments along with the Dreamkeeper have been on my wishlist for such a long time!! That 6 of wands is so beautiful and the 8 of cups is totally adorable! I just wish kings would be male and queens female.... like I cannot wrap my head around a female king because that would be a queen, lol. I really like large decks so the fact it's lager makes it even better for me. The Taj Mahal as the Star is beautiful but yeah, I guess this requires an explanation... I have a deck in which the Taj mahal appears in the 5 of cups and it makes perfect sense because of the sorrow surrounding Mumtaz Mahal's death but yeah, but the Star?? Thanks, that was interesting!
Thank you for watching! The great thing is, you still get the male version of the Kings, so you just need to remove the female Kings if this feels best suited for your taste. The Taj Mahal is so full of sadness, including what was done to the architect and carvers. If you return to India, I would also advise visiting the Swaminaryan (it’s a particular Hindu sect) temples as they also have some very intricate details.
@@darkfaetarot Well, yeah, we can choose a male king... i just do not get the point of having the option of a female king (because that would be a queen!) but that's just me being weird, lol. OoooooH, I did go to a Swaminaryan temple in Jaipur, you're right, I was absolutely mesmerized by the details (and honestly, all temples in India are so amazing, I remember shedding a tear when I entered certain temples because the beauty was just so overwhelming). I so want to return! I spent 40 days backpacking in India with my 80 year old grandpa, staying in ashrams.... best trip of my life, great memories! ❤
@@Saturnarium wow, you’ve been the Swaminaryan temples, so wonderful 🙏🏼. My grandmother and my aunts were Swaminaryan, I am part of the Krishna lineage following my father. Backpacking with your granddad?! You got one very cool family ☺️! Have you been to the South too? The food is amazing. I’m sure btw you might have recognised some common vegetables and spices given the trade from South America to India via the Portuguese.
@@darkfaetarot Unfortunately I did not go to the south, I went to Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Varanasi, Rishikesh and Dharamsala but I have vowed to return to India, even my grandpa, now 86, wants to backpack again to India... he had the greatest time at ISKCON temple in Varanasi, we never sang and danced so much in life... 🥰
@@Saturnarium ah! My origins are the Rann of Kutch. I think you’d love the next trip, with your grandfather. If you have the chance, I’d encourage you to also then to the jump to Sri Lanka and then Indonesia. It’s like a trail of Hinduism evolving due to the invasions from the North.
I’m currently going on a deepdive on this deck. Although I agree with you it’s classical RWS it’s also interesting how the creator chose to differ and to illustrate the archetypes. For instance the chariot with the snail ? I have to wrap my head around this.
I love this deck also and I hope to use it for a long time. The Oracle of Mystical moments reads beautifully with this deck for me. Have a nice Sunday.
I need to try the Oracle with it, I have it but haven't paired them together! Indeed she has some very interesting choices. Looking forward to your review if you do one. Bon dimanche aussi!
Ahem... I have decks that have been still waiting for their time to come, for more than two years... 😅I really appreciate these two-part, not massive boxes. Probably my favourite type of packaging. Thank you for sharing in more detail your daily pull practise! I like the idea of picking a theme for questions. I like how the images here are thought provoking and can take on a free flow journey of thoughts. This deck is gorgeous. I greatly appreciate that you raise how some images are culturally insensitive and misrepresentations. Thank you for this review! 💕
Ah thanks so much Dot for watching and sharing your thoughts. I think you might enjoy this deck if you haven’t bought it already. I think decks are like some books… there’s a day when we are to work with it and it is waiting for that special moment. No pressure. Unless you’re moving and then you might need to divest a few just to ease up on all that packing! 🦋💕🦉
@@darkfaetarot I have it on my wishlist but so far other decks have taken priority or just felt more attractive at the moment of purchase. Funny you mention books. Shelves with books waiting to be read in sight hahaha. 🌺💞🐦
😮 I thought I didn’t like this deck for being too beautiful (is that possible…) but I deffinately do like it aaaaa LOT
The 2 of Pentacles!!!
@@carriespider8438 I think it has a lovely mix of beauty and haunting
hi hi. love your videos. i hope you are well. i haven't seen a new vid from you in a while! no pressure. just saying i miss your insights and observations lately. peace and blessings. dj
Ah thanks so much David. I decided to take some time out, I just needed a bit of a break. I will be back mid April. Sending hope and light 🌸
@@darkfaetarot ah, good to hear. I'm glad you are well and enjoying a nice break! i hope the spring blooms nicely there!
How are you? I haven't seen you on social media lately!
Thank you for your lovely message Gigi. Sorry I didn't mention it, ... I took some time off and will be back mid April 🌸
@@darkfaetarot ok! Glad you're ok!
I miss your videos!
Thank you for your lovely comment. I am taking a little time out but will be back soon. 🌸
@@darkfaetarot so good to hear you’re ok and you will be back.🤗
The surreal imagery is really captivating and beautiful, but it does always make me a little uncomfortable when ideas from other cultures are integrated and I'm not sure how people from that culture feel about this.
I would love a closer peek at your shelves - what is the tarot deck with the moon right on top of the Muse? And that lovely picture of the lady with the hearts?
Thank you for watching and commenting! The lady with the hearts is a Paperblanks notebook, design by Mila Marquis called 'Valentina'. The deck is the Guardian Tarot by Beth Seilonan 🌸 Hope this helps ❤️
This is a problem: when Europeans create a 'white' tarot deck they are criticized that it's not 'inclusive' and when they portray another culture, they are 'insensitive' (or even misappropriating). Can't never get it right :-(
Thank you for your thoughts. I would not say European as I am European and I know many Europeans of different nationalities who appreciate cultural sensitivities. I think the issue really stems from public pressure to incl. diversity but then it is rushed and not thought through. I also can see the creator had a very limited time frame. This not just in the hands of the artist but publishing houses too... I think it will take further dialogue and education to see a deeper change. Thank you for watching.
@@darkfaetarot I think if we change tarot too much it will cease to be tarot.
@@OfWavesAndWinds indeed, I meant ethnicities, not changing the structure.
