After a big break like the show he don’t wanna do a 9-5 or regular man job he’s had a taste of show biz but they ain’t hiring him no more for no big projects. But he doesn’t wanna accept it so it’s waiting on another lifeline once in a lifetime thing. No other big shows want him but he was such a good actor. Because he wasn’t acting he’s just a real one from ends who tryna do the civ ting & figure it out and it’s fucking him up cos he looks lost. Tryna be a musician give that up movies or podcast/ jobs.

If you have a guest on your show who explicitly explains why he doesn't like to only be referred to as the name of a character to the point where he even says he avoids going on live because that's the only comments he gets then it only takes a little bit of respect to include his real name in the title as well. The title is what grabs people, you're not as likely to remember the name if its put in the description as most people don't even read that. It doesn't take a genius to figure out how to create a title that incorporates both his real name and his character name

What Shone forgets is that Asher D and Kano were both big in their own right before Top Boy, but even they mainly get associated with Top Boy now.
Shone is only known for Top Boy because he doesn't show us anything else. Interviews like this are a good start but the minimum he needs is an Instagram page. Should've done it when the new Top Boy started tbh

I think it sounds like hes had a cold/allergies (hayfever often looks like youve been crying) and can hear some congestion not heavy breathing. He holds himself so well considering too his friend just died and that hes probably slightly tired of being known as Dris and it defining his life.
I met Shone, about 6/7 years ago. Went to buy a second hand motorbike from Shpock. Turns out it was his! Went to his house in Bromley to collect it. Proper humble guy.

Big facts
With a little bit of prep this could have been a good interview. There was no structure, with topics all over the place which were never really followed to any depth. From what came out of that interview it could have been 30mins long at most.
Shame really as you can see that there is a lot more to Shone than the surface. There needed to be some direction towards some self reflection, what actions or behaviours may have lead to certain outcomes. Has it always been a 'them doing this to me' type situation, or did Shone's past he touched on have any impact on anything. Giving up the roads to pursue what? A more rewarding life? Acting? Safety? How's that panned out? Any regrets?
I could go on and on... but of course this is just my opinion after sitting through all of that.
This interviewer misses an opportunity. Stop talking about the street nonsense. Talk about how he got on. Focus on that. Inspire kids.
