50 years ago my mom did a beautiful harvest floral-y basket on oatmeal fabric. It was crewel embroidery and it was a masterpiece. My daughter has it hanging in her home now ❤I can’t wait til this one finished! I can hear the love of stitching in your voice. Enjoy and happy Columbus Day! 🇺🇸
Hi Amy, I just adore your channel, and love everything you show us. I’m into diamond painting, I do embroidery I have for years. I was never able to get into cross stitch but I wish I could lol isn’t that something. I can do one and not the other. I just wanted to let you know how refreshing it is how much detail and time you spend showing us everything you’re doing. There’s no rushing through your videos and I love that ,and enjoy watching your videos because of that. I went back and started watching your older videos. You are very crafty, you have such a wide range of talent. I love doing the DP and Embroidery, but I’m not crafty. I also have eye issues I use a light pad and magnifying glass. I have an embroidery kit with this similar pattern from Dimensions. It’s from the 1970’s. I believe I completed it. It’s stored somewhere.
Welcome! Thanks for all the compliments! I just try to show whatever I'm thinking each week. I just wish I had more time to do it all. I'm heading closer to retirement, so I'll have plenty of time then. Good luck with your crafts, and stamped cross stitch may be worth a try. A small kit has little cost or commitment.
Cannot wait to pull the trigger and buy a stamped cross stitch kit. I cross stitched over 30 years ago and got frustrated with miscounting. Back then the stamped kits were not very nice quality and felt like cheating….lol. After watching your videos, i now want to try stamped cross stitching and plan to buy Spring brand.
I found one in the Google Play store called Thread Stash. You can still download it, but the author's Facebook page says she is now only supporting the web version. It's worth a look, but it is not as robust as Gemsflow.
Hi Amy, I love my stitching and I love the 11ct but I do have to use a needle threader and 2.50 readers over my prescription reading glasses to see to stitch. Are you a lefty? My youngest daughter is. I’m right handed
Yes, i am a lefty. Learning crochet and knitting was a bit tricky. I actually do those crafts right handed (really, both hands are used). I've tried a few 14 count. Some are easier to read than others. I think Spring brand is the easiest for me. Good luck!

They are stiff when you first get them but become softer as you keep handling the Aida. Granted not all Aida is the same but it’s worth it!
I tried cross stitch many years ago, i liked it but it needs more time than I have😂 so I stick to my dp, but really enjoy watching you do it
Thanks! Yes, takes a lot more time to get anywhere.
Is there a stash app for cross stitching similar the gem flow for diamond painting?
