My feminist Yankee mother love this woman, as she ascended her throne the year I was born. As an American, I am not a royalist. None the less, I found your Queen Elizabeth an inspiration of Hope and Progress all my life. Thank you for sharing this epitome of tact and grace with the world. Your expense for her lavish lifestyle was repaid with selfless duty and rare continuity you needed.
Her Majesty was youthful for 96 years and devoted to duty until the very end. Her legacy and spirit lives on in all of us. How blessed we are. God save the Queen!
As if all be a script, She ends the message “as long as I shall live”. It’s happens that I watched The Prince Philip Memorial Service. The Queen was listening intently to the young woman who won the Duke of Windsor Award , and the priest who gave the sermon on the suited character make up of Prince Philip 70 years later. The Queen is everything She promised She said She would be and more. She has embodied Her vows to us through thick and thin all these many years. I cannot conceive a more resplendent Monarch, that I was born during this Reign to see Her is a perplexing miracle…….out of a billion billion odds, I forever am grateful to know of Her. +GSOGQ+
She had wisdom beyond everyone, she understood that moving past Traditions of Country are dangerous... she promised herself to God and Her people, I so get it.
Not sure this was Queen Elizabeth II's first ever speech as Queen but it is certainly one of the first. She sounded very very young... RIP your Majesty
It was her first Christmas speech. Her televised broadcast was on 13th October 1957 for Canada before she had her first televised Christmas speech for the UK
As The Queen invoked the prayers of those of all religions at 5:26, her Son's first Xmas broadcast 70 years later - in which He tipped His hat to all faiths as a celebration of light - should neither surprise nor offend anyone. It's a beautiful continuum which we can all celebrate. God Save The King.
Incredie to think back in 1952 Stalin is still leader of the USSR, the UK is fighting the Korean War, Mount Evarist still unconquered, King George V's Queen was still alive, the first ever H bomb test happened that year, Ian Fleming hadn't published his first Bond book yet and David Attenborough hadn't even started his wildlife filmmaking career at the BBC.....
What happened to the FILMED record of this 1952 first radio broadcast of the Queen's Christmas message? I enjoyed watching it on many Christmases. Where is it now?
There will never be another like her. Rest in peace your majesty.

Fascinating piece of historical radio archive

Even before her death, she was healthier than my grandparents who were bedridden for years before they died
Wow this is so hard to find! Thank you for posting!
You are great your majesty. How kind you and your words. I daily pray to lord Jesus to protect you.
May her soul rest peacefully
I miss her already 😭

Her voice did not change much
We’ll have a first Christmas speech from the king this year. It’s not gonna be the same 💔❤️
HM Elizabeth is with Jesus now

First Christmas speech
It was her first Christmas speech. Her televised broadcast was on 13th October 1957 for Canada before she had her first televised Christmas speech for the UK
This would be her first. It’s from 1952 the year she became Queen on the death of her father in the February of that year.
Su primer discurso de navidad en 71 años en el trono de mi ídola reina Isabel II

5:22 mission accomplished. GSTQ.

Where is it now?
Sad after her death
You're here after her death aren't you?
yup
Sadly yes and remembering so much May she rest in peace😪🙏
Was she the youngest ever Queen to be crowned in England?
No, her great grandmother Queen Victoria was the queen when she was 18 in 1837. Queen Elizabeth II became queen when she was 25.

Elizabeth I was also 25 when she ascended the throne. And what a perilous, rocky journey that was! 👑

During this period he had not assumed the reign.
Her reign started the second her father died.
