Channeling big horsepower and big iron into quality, the precision, the maths, the perfection, the fit, the beauty, the enduring.

You do the most complicated things lol, just testing the boundary of your shop lol. You can just buy gears lol. But I get it

It's funny that as time goes on, there are less and less side projects. 2 years ago, it was like 5 or 6 side projects per video. Now it's 1 or 2. Goes to show that "side projects" really are worth it!

I often skip through ad content, but even your ads are golden! Example, at 5:15; "They ask you questions about your physical" "parameters"
    😂
This was another great video and I loved the demonstration at the end that showed us how it worked with pen/paper. My brain couldn't understand this tool until that point. So cool!

That demonstration with the pen and paper caused everything to fall into place. Such a simple little thing that then immediately clarifies the entirety of the last two videos. But the journey of getting there was even more enjoyable for not fully understanding it.

Man that button insert is a lovely thing to watch cut. And when you're running diameters off center, what I like to call "them big jobs", you're bound to goof once or more. I call this phenomena "machine gremlins."😂😂😂
That torsion spring was crazy work dude. And I literally laughed out loud when you spoke real machinist right after. "This number is bullshit, make it work" is the first phrase you learn when you graduate from FNG to actual machinist.
I'm just as impressed as the lead engineer with the middling demonstration and cannot fuckin wait to see the next video!

    EXTREMELY IMPRESSIVE!!!
It's like CLOCKWORK tools!!! (but bigger) lol
But seriously, seeing it all form, step by step.. you get an entirely new understand of how it works... which you really can't get any other way (except maybe taking one apart, like how I learned a lot of stuff as a kid LOL)

    My takeaways from today's episode:
    1. I would totally buy an "Ask me about my O.C.D." t-shirt from you.
    2. You should have bronze nuts if you have an eccentric shaft.
    3. You'll end up sleeping in your shop if you take up machining as a hobby.

Oooh, as a MDE in Scotland we use BS 8888 (ISO GPS) as opposed to ASME Y14.5, however I know from online research that concentricity is verboten in Dixie. Surprised to see it on your drawing near the start!

I'm absolutely in LOVE. This is fantabulous. I can't wait to see chips being made to make GEARS.
On a side note, I laughed 😂 so hard about the nominal explanation I almost choked. That is the best simplified definition I have ever heard. I'm using it from now on, thanks. Oh, and thanks for the great clickty clickty video (and the gratuitous parts with the great engineer, Mrs. Inheritance). As always, stay safe and watch out for flying chips.

    🐿️!
If you keep knocking it out of the park, we’re going to have to buy stock in Spalding.
It shouldn’t challenge your masculinity when she “does the tailstock.” Turning the lathe on, however..
..did she speak to it in a soothing tone of voice and tell it what it wanted to hear? 😊

Golly Gee Willickers, I started the video and thought I entered the Twilight Zone due to how similar the beginning of the intro was to Pt. 1 of this tool's saga. Good game.
Edit1: A "swoop" versus a "chunk" is practically Drummer Talk, now we're speaking the same language.

Mrs Inheritance Machining is very funny, I can see her with her own RUclips channel, something like "Mrs Inheritance Machining", or "Living With An Idiot", something like that. We could have episodes like "What is the Idiot doing in the shop today?", or "I told him 4140 was the choices of idiots". Yes, I think it would fly...
