Aloha Michael : Have a late 60's early 70's all pedal Sho-Bud model 6140 w/six on the floor, no KNLs w/E9 tuning. Broke a 5th string that earlier was raising just fine. I didn't have a .17 or .18 string gauge to replace so used a slightly heaver gauge string. Then my A pedal wouldn't raise B to C#. I tightened and loosened till the cows came home and guess overdid it because the pull rod started to also change the tuning that the top tuning pegs are responsible for. Anywho if turn the pull rod to its loosest level and slowly readjust the 5th string hex/rod, might that balance out and pedal up to a C#? Sorry for the overkill! Mahalo, Johnny
Sounds like you over tuned the nylon tuner on the end plate. There is only so much adjustment that can be made there without making the open note sharpen. If you tune the nylon tuner and it changes the open note, that means the pedal or knee lever is not traveling far enough. Back that tuner out a few turns and then adjust your pedal travel so the it goes farther than it currently is.
@@memphislim Mucho mahalo Michael. Give her a try manana when the strings come via Amazon Prime. Mahalo fo taking da time to reply with your expertise! Hate to make the trek to Jim Palenscar as he is 136 miles from me!! Johnny
Hello from France the site of PSG Parts is closed? Or it's an accident ? - when i look for that....the answer is ..error 503 not available ...😢 i thank you very much for your info about it if you get more info...on PSG Parts ( pedal Steel Guitar)
That's too much info to accurately convey via RUclips chat. If you can't see what's needed by looking, best to take it to a steel tech in your area. This video was made for the customer who's guitar this is so he'd better understand it for future maintenance needs and is not intended to be a universal answer forum for all steel guitars.
@@memphislim thank you very much. My problem is that I live in a very small island in the Canary Islands and there is not any tech around . and I don't want to think about the cost of sending it somewhere for repair.
always nice to see different solutions from one psg to another.

You can adjust the stopping screw on the pedal itself for more travel to get to that c Sharp.
