- I have done all Levels again, but this time with major changes
-BETTER TIME
-NO LOADING FROM SAVEPOINTS
-TIME GOES WITH INGAME TIMER (mpstopwatch)
-MUSIC INCLUDED
-VERSION 1.44 (Crazy Hook) every version laggs hard on Win10 -Goodbye Version 1.0 :(

The last level. And this wasn't that hard honestly as there is not much treasure. They even fixed the score screen, so it is possible to make a perfect score here YAY :D
1:03 The dying to get back to the checkpoint strategy
1:49 Nope... don't need catnip for the platform, but take a running leap and grab the ladder. Saves time as it is easier to take the treasure the other way around.
3:45 Nope, tiger guards don't carry any treasure here
7:27 little time wasted
11:24 of course most of the improvment comes from this. You only have to hit Omar 4 times instead 10 times like in the old version

The part in 8:55 took me at least 50 attempts, and there you are, beating it on the first try and even going back to collect the coins xD

@@SillyInsaneGamer Yeah you need a lot of tries if you wanna play the levels very optimised.
I even had better times in lvl1 like a (5:51... not a todd rogers reference hehe)
But just keep doing the speed comes in alone... better try making a perfect score over and over again and then increase the tempo.
Since I was a kid I always hated how the game made the treasures not important.. wish there were a special reward for those who have the commitment

I totally agree with you... getting one extra life when you are collecting everything anyway just doesn't feel all that rewarding :O

Nostalgia,i played this game when i was in 2nd standard now im in 10th,i so want to play this game,but i am a noob and i cannot properly because my computer is trashy and the game glitches,but this game is literally my childhood,nice gameplay btw

@@musicfan1558 windows 7 :) and thank you for responding ,also i left playing these type of games years ago,i just checked my backup folder and found it but you know the game's contrast changes(it becomes so bright,the screen turns white all of a sudden) after you play sometime ,and i lost in touch with the game i have 2 or 3 seals,i never made it to the end
i still had to unlock these levels,i didnt complete the Caverns??(i dont remember)i have completed the second map with all wooden floors(idr) and a cat boss , a map that consists of Bunch of dogs and tigers ,and the boss of some map that consists of ships(took me so much time,i still remember ,it was hard as heck)

I am still okay with that because i dont play games that much ,i have Counterstrike and some childhood miniclip games along with flash games and a whole folder of Angry birds(Rovio removed it,but i am happy that i completed each and every angry bird game)

I love this game....i have been playing this since i was 2 years old...i play it even now...just love that game by monolith... defeating omar is tough but you seem to have defeated him very easily....i defeated him using cheats...hats off to you... keep it up!
lool I wonder why they called him Omar? That's a muslim name, but this level is called temple? odd.
In my version of the game, Omar's second phase took 8 hits to beat. Strange.
You have version 1.0?
@@musicfan1558 I think I had the original 1997 one. Some things did more damage and Omar was really hard. All of the online features didn't work.
@@beri4138 Ah yes, I remember that version well^^ (My first playthrough was with it). Bosses dealt more damage, Wolvington even 30 (instead of five) and Omar needed more hits to kill.
Too sad it won't work properly while recording anymore
@@musicfan1558 I remember I played once a version where wolvington would deal 20 damage. I don't remember which one was, but I struggled a lot with that boss by the time I didn't had internet and had to do my best to beat him

Why feared? Never back off from a challenge, and this game is a good challenge. You will beat all levels too^^

You are probably the only RUclipsr who made the Captain Claw game collecting all the treasures on each map.

It's been 3h since I stuck in that level and i gave up beat the boss for now after 13 deaths😂
I can't get through the last part those stupid jumps.....
those planks at 8:55 are so tricky, u make them look so easy but I am not able to do it without jumping cheat. :/
Its all about timing.
The 1st and the 4th are no problem at all, you don't need to do anything. As they will "catch you up" while you failling
Not so about the other ones, they are about precise timing. Jump on the next one as soon as you reach the most underneath coin. (And keep jumping then. its kind of a rhythm you have to find out, when you di it, it is easy, trust me^^)

the jumping at the ladder? just press space and as soon as you wanna hold on the stairs... press up
repeat the process again and again... its not easy but once you can do it you'll save a lot of time at some passages
