    I've always thought that the first movement of this sonata is one of the example of how Schubert could really, really ahead of his time. It really sounds like Bruckner, sometimes even Mahler.

      The coda to the first movement, with those closing repetitive phrases starting at 14:36, is indeed very Brucknerian.

    Totally magnificent. Enough was written of the other movements for Paul Badura-Skoda to complete it.

    The first movement sounds very symphonic! The main theme could be a dialouge between brass and woodwind!

    2nd movement is played too quickly on this recording. It's marked andante, yet it seems like an allegro vivace here.

      I guess you never heard of historically informed tempi? Andante goes up to 108 BPM. This is exactly what this is.
