For the argument in the beginning, i think that Ludwig doesn't quite understand how much luck you need to become, like actually successful on RUclips. When he did the whole, making a channel anonymously, he came to the conclusion that it's primarily skill that is required to become successful, but like he used his own resources to get to that point, everything from using his money to hire a voice actor and to promote the channel. But the biggest thing that Ludwig never mentioned in that video was that the channel he made wouldn't have gotten anywhere had he not talked about it on the Yard, after which the channel popped off with like 10k+ searches and the algorithm then picked it up. I think it's more of a case of 'You need luck to become successful on RUclips, but you need skill to stay successful'. Ludwig is obviously a pretty smart dude when it comes to the second part, but like he would not be where he is now if it wasn't for luck in various areas of his streaming and youtube career. Same with Mr. Beast, though to a MUCH more extreme case, i mean for goodness sake, the guy started off his channel by making fucking 'Counting to 100k and 1 million' type of videos, where he would sit in his room for hours, looking at the camera and just counting. He's honestly insanely lucky to have been picked up by the algorithm and that people thought his content was funny. What sets him apart from all the failures of youtube, is what he did with his newfound fame. He kept building his brand, one brick at a time, making interesting content that he was now able to afford, which he definitely would not have been able to afford had he not gotten incredibly lucky with youtube.
I think you said it quite right but quite wrong. Most people on RUclips will be given an opportunity, a big one even, to be blessed by the algorithm and have a successful video/... (things that people call luck) but they can't succeed in their other videos. The evidence is this is that there are a lot of channels where only one video has around 1M views, while other videos have only 1-5k views. Why is this the case? It's because the skills/brain/knowledge of RUclips are the things that you need to take advantage of that opportunity and eventually succeed. MrBeast has those skills while others don't so they don't succeed, it's simple. All successful people need luck, while not everyone who has luck is successful.

The reason so many people thought it was CGI is because they used something called optical flow to slow down the video.
