      Quick Update:
      Episode 3 is taking a little longer then expected but should be out soon. I have been hard at work developing our new craft: a cruiser, a submarine, and three new planes. I have also changed the heavy and light cruiser significantly but these changes won’t be seen for a while. Thanks for the patience!

      love your naming sceme : name of important/historical figures for smaller vesels and larger vesels geting names that are "larger than a person" (like concepts and terms or ,ya know, the names the brits chose for their capital ships in the 20th century)

      Hey thank you so much! I’ve made many series on youtube but this is the first time i’m trying to put a lot of effort in and hopefully as the series progresses the quality increases. If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them.

    I think you should make some kind of submarine. I don't know how good they are but the water is natural defence and having a lot of torpedoes could pack a punch.
    But idk your the boss.

      Submarines can be pretty over powered in From the Depths so I tend to avoid them. These videos have been pre-recorded but I will work on a submarine and try it out!

      Submarines are actually both underpowered and overpowered. They're overpowered because a lot of campaign designs forget how to deal with submarines or are 'new player friendly'. Against enemies that know how to deal with subs, ie fly over and drop a lot of damage in one burst, subs cannot escape as they have no mobility.

      @@chillbuilder101 That's good too know! I've never built one but have started a simple one trying to make sure it matches the rest of the fleet.

      Maybe make it to where the sub must surface to fire. Expose it while it's firing which gives it a chance to be targeted. I designed a u boat style one where I had the deck cannon only. I had to surface to fire it and it was designed as a recon vessel since I don't like using the satellites.

    I notice that your ship has no propeller at the bottom to keep it up float. I try to do it my self but ships still sinking, and the problem is probably that i put more armor and no space left for air but idk how you do it or they do it.

      I will post a detailed video on the Valerian and show how I get it to float. Maybe that could give you some details!

      might not be the greatest advice but use like Light-Alloy or wood to add buoyancy. Passive buoyancy like that, as well as a more spacious hull and innards allow the ship to float on its own. Look at a lot of the DWG stronger craft as they use these more buoyant materials, but are still relatively well defended (the crossbones)

      @@aintnobodycare6193 i also has trouble building big ships or just ships in general. Almost all the time mid way i got bored and quit, but i do enjoy building tanks because they are smaller and my usual approach when starting ashes of the empire is quantity over quality

      I usually just use air pumps and a PID to se the height since PIDs can be set to directly control air and helium pumps.

    • @sgxbot
      @sgxbot 7 месяцев назад

      @@Mattmon air pumps add a lot of lag though when used on bigger ships in bigger numbers. so best is to avoid using them. a armor mix of metal and wood is almost neutral when it comes to floating. alloy floats pretty well. so adding these into the build makes the ship float without using airpumps

    Hey, i noticed your using custom ingame SFX (atleast for the missiles) and was wondering where you found the audio clips. Ive always felt the FTD weapons and damage effects are a bit week
