Yes. Did this 20 years ago, every Navy officer who wants to impress you will take you on the ferry. My former Navy officer husband, who I reunited with on a flight from Tokyo to Seattle back in 2001, had me on the same ferry ride. I’m a Swede and believe in testing the goods before marrying, so we lived together for 12 years and had 2 children at NAS Whidbey Island, and now we live in my country of Sweden and married 7 years ago. We own a home on Whidbey Island, and I would love to return, but not permanently, as we are happy here in Stockholm, but I loved my years at Whidbey Island. It was fun and carefree.
My two younger fraternal twin brothers and I were born there and last September I went there with my 3 out 4 of my daughters and my husband for my early 50th birthday. My God it felt like I was back home. Yes, I'm planning to come back with my entire family.
I've been on Whidbey 37 years now.. Never even heard of the Eckholm farm.. Let's be honest, this wasn't about Whidbey at all. "Here, have a picnic on the most stinky, squishy beach on the island" What a joke lol. Oh well, maybe it's helping keep the tourists away
I live in this beautful island since 1976. one of the beautiful places on earth ❤.
Oh my....I am seriously in tears. I lived in Coupeville by Hiway 20 for eight years, left in 2017 to move to San Antonio. I SOOO MISS IT ALL!!
Home sweet home🐳💨

Are there buses or can you only travel island by car?
Yes you can get around via Island Transit. It stops at the ferry dock too. Check schedule online before you go!
@@KING5Seattle And there is no fare to ride, which I did for 8 years. Go for it!
Nice place to visit and that's it.
Man this Seattle people are afraid to grab egg lmao
