- In this video I play through an entire session of "XCOM: The Board Game", playing the tutorial scenario; even the easy mode is too difficult for me when playing solo ;-)

I take a drink every time Markus says, “Are you kidding me?” Good thing it is only tea. 😂
Haha - need to pay more attention to attention! Is it Long Island Ice Tea? ;)
@@realjplaylol, just regular tea. And I don’t mean to make you self-conscious, your sayings are why we love you.
Thanks :)
I enjoy watching other people pull their hair out playing real time games, but hate playing them myself, lol. Thanks for the video, Markus!
Thanks much, Stasia and I really hear you. I am really not a big fan either I'm afraid... :)
Xcom on PC is probably my favorite game to watch on RUclips. I’ll definitely be checking out this video to see how board game compares.
Thanks much! You might definitely find some things that will feel familiar!
I love the idea of the PC game, but every time I tried, I would keep missing and lost everything. Only once did I ever play well. Must have been using cheat codes 😂 RNG hates me.
@@prufrock1977 haha, “getting Xcom’d” on bad RNG appears to be a right of passage. I tried Xcom 2 on Xbox and had one pretty decent run out of about 2 dozen tries.
1 out of 24 runs seems normal :-D
LIke teachnola10 already commented, I also enjoy streaming XCOM playthroughs 🤣 It almost always seems like they are playing it better than I ever can (on Playstation, in my case), but it's long been a favorite of mine!
I don't have any experience with the boardgame, so this will be interesting.
I feel the same for a lot of games. More enjoyable to watch than to play ;)
So I was wondering at 20:30ish, you roll a fail but with a success token so although the task fails do you still get the success counter and the fail is more of a you have to stop attempting type deal? Got the game and eager to play just need to figure it out :)
Not 100% if I got it right, but as far as I can remember you still get the success, even though the threat roll failed. Hope that was the answer you were looking for :-)
i bet you have Galactic Cruise on your short list.
Ha - not even remotely ;-)
@@realjplay what? but all those colors and meeples!
