- Hey party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me while I share with you more house hunting!! This time I have two homes to share with you - two beautiful, gorgeous, huge, outrageous homes. Wow, right?! Each house has something special and spectacular that makes them amazing; however, neither one of them worked for us. Sadly. We are going to continue the search! Thank you for saying that whatever happens during the day there is always something beautiful to look at. It almost made me tear up. I am currently working from home 3 days a week and homeschooling my two boys. This morning was tough because one of them didn't want to do his school.. it was so stressful. And yesterday, someone from my work told me that they heard my dog barks during one of my calls and that I have to make sure he dosen't barks... super stressful as well! I have decided that fror now on we would only do school during the 2 days I am not working and that it would be better for everyone in our family. Sometimes I want to be perfect and I put way to much pressure on myself. I feel so much better getting this off my chest. Thank you for this little happy in my day. 🌈🐶💛

I don’t like house with pool (no offense , cause I want the safety first priorities not unsafe way. It’s too dangerous for my kids since I can’t barely get around them if anything happen.
👏 yess, as cool and relaxing as it looks, I’d never be able to actually relax around that pool with my kids or even my self lol
Kim carried her babies for nine months then the ability to provide safe loving care to these little humans told her, NOPE.... not now. I respect her decision. 👍🏻👏🏻

We probably looked at 20 homes over a year... but when we finally found the right house my husband and I looked at each other and we just knew it was ours. It will come!!!
Don’t eeeevvvvveeeeen get me started on the house ridiculousness!!!! We just bid on a house, went more than $40k over asking and were STILL outbid! It is so frustrating to be a buyer right now! Good luck!
Uh yes!! Must be nice to be a seller but goodness!! Whyyyy!!! So far over asking is outrageous
@@thewadsquad Right!!! A lot of these sellers are making a killing on their properties. I’ve seen homes listed that I wouldn’t pay a hundred bucks for going for over $200k. It’s MIND-BLOWING!
Are you selling your house that you’re in now or is it a rental? I actually LOVE the home you’re in now soooo much. If I lived in FL, I would totally make an offer on it......and then I would be outbid! 😂 (If that’s too personal, just tell me to shut up and mind my bees wax!)

Houses in my city are going for 20-20 percent over asking price and in cash. I think it is investors scooping them up. Ridiculous.
@@psymompa It’s crazy. I think you’re right. I’ve seen a bunch of places being renovated in my town and they’re all owned by real estate companies oddly enough. I think the real estate companies are scooping them all up and revamping them to make a huge profit in this crazy market.
We saw one house walked in and instantly knew that was our Home. That was the smoothest and easiest transaction ever, everything just fell into place. 22 years later we still love it, we have tossed around moving to get closer to family, but we love our house and neighborhood, so we are using Corona time to upgrade our house give it some TLC so we are ready for another 20 years. Really go with your gut feel, you will know when you have found your Home😀

That first house had ADA features. That's why the light switches were lowered and the vanity in that one bathroom was low.

First house...I've never seen a bathroom counter extend over the toilet. The resort pool is gorgeous! But it doesn't look kid friendly at all.
I kind of like how the closets are between the master bedroom & master bath in the second house. Sometimes my husband and I get up at different times and that would be delightful to not wake the other up. :) That backyard was amazing!

You were right. Newer bathroom cabinets are the same height as kitchen cabinets. Even up til like 20 years ago kitchens were still small. That’s why a lot of people take down walls between kitchens and dining rooms to make bigger kitchens.

Whenever I make a healthier version of a favourite treat and it ends up sucking, it always leaves me wanting the real thing that much more! Just like if you decide to try a new pizza place and it's not good, you have to "correct" the mistake by ordering from the old favourite! Gotta even things out! ;)
My husband and I looked at over 25 houses late last year. All the houses we liked had offers the day after we toured them.

The housing market is INSANE. We looked at nearly 15 houses and almost gave up but found one that was a custom build someone else lost out on! We close in April. I’m sure your house is out there. Don’t give up

@@corinna_maybe yeah, just the thought of having a bathroom for each bedroom 😂 Not saying I wouldn't like it, but it's just so far from my reality. On the other hand, my idea of a large backyard is waay bigger than the size of most American backyards.
@@matildabjorklund1437 pretty sure I'd love the choice to spit my tooth paste in the left or the right sink after a long day at work buuut not my priority either 😅 I value living in the center of a European capital and sometimes it sucks to not have a garden or a house of my own but I do have heaps of other amenities. I am always curious to see how other people are living though, so I really love to see Kim's house tours. Living vicariously through them 😅

I just made a second batch of No Bake Energy Balls, with a Kristen twist. I hate coconut, so swapped for shelled sunflower seeds. I warmed the bowl with ingredients for 30 seconds to make it easier to mix with a rubber spatula. I want to do one with almonds and one with walnuts, swapping of the seeds. I added a pinch of Himalayan salt and a powdered protein following the serving instructions on the container. They are so good!!!! I made them last week without a few things on the recipe and they were awesome go sweets during shark week. I love your dinner videos. Such great ideas. You have inspired me to cook again. I pray you find the perfect house for your family and love going on each house walk through. Stay safe!

I found my first and only..lol, I still am in love 7 years later( it's 80 brick home, with backyard for my 2 rescue fur babies)..you'll know when it's right, kinda like when I found my hubby😉😘

I would for sure fall at the pool on the first house. I don't understand the small drop off area with the waterfalls. I made a great sort of healthy muffin recipe. It was strawberry yogurt with oats muffins. It had only a half or one cup of brown sugar. I doubled the recipe. You soak the oats in the wet infredients and it still tastes great if you soak the oats extra. The muffins look like normal muffins. My one year old, husband and I love the muffins!

We have one of the wood “slide up cubbies” in our kitchen too, although not as large as the one in the 2nd house. It’s original to my built in 1988 childhood home where I now live with my family. We have always called it our “appliance garage”. We have always kept our toaster & electric can opener (years ago) in it. Love it.
I am glad the cabinetry in our home has faired/aged well in now over 30yrs. I am attached to so much in this house. Upgrading makes me sad, so many memories attached, not to mention the cost to replace...
The kitchen is definitely the focal point of a home. Expensive to remodel.
You and Alex will find your home, don’t settle. Keep looking, it will happen. The right place will come along.

I needed this video more than you know. Hang in there on the house hunting Kim! The housing market it’s crazy. We bought a house or sighned on one on 2/25 and sign 4/28 as they asked for an extension, but our realtor said while we were touring it if ya want a chance at it you need to put an off on it while standing here in it. What!!!! Mind blowing!!!!! This sure is a sellers market right now. 🤯 You will find that special house soon! ❤️ sending love
My mom’s house, which was in need of many repairs, sold in 7 days for $165K over asking price in WA State. Had 47 offers on it. The market is crazy right now.

You said exactly what I was thinking about the first house. My kitchen is very small for a big house. Built in 1972. I just see you thriving in a big kitchen! Hope you find a dreamy house.
We spent 10 months house hunting and saw over SIXTY houses! I knew what I wanted and nothing came close. The house we ended up buying isn’t really what I wanted and I didn’t even want to look at it because I knew the kitchen was too small! But I was tired of searching and it was good enough. It’s been 5 years living here and we’re still redecorating and trying to make it work better for our family.

You guys will know when the house is right for you. We looked at 40-50 houses before we bought our house. We now are looking to down size. Our girls are grown and out on there own. Back to looking for us. Lol. I'm the same, the kitchen should be the main focus of the home.
