    Reviewers don’t need to make negative reviews. They need to make critical reviews and not say everthing is good. That has no value.

    Dude i havent watched the entire video yet, but dude... People were hating HARD on Y Elixir! I was so confused because it was SO good... The women and men in my life LOVED the fragrance when i tried it!!!! Convinced me to buy it regardless of the negative reviews!

    12:09 I agree, Eros is not that good. Ima be honest...Givenchy Society and Gentlemen Only was killing everything inside the Mall, better than any Armani and Dior.

    Honestly I think the issue with folks wanting to see “negative” reviews stems from what Mark from Robes08 calls the “free bottle brigade.” The RUclipsrs that constantly get free bottles and praise or overhype fragrances to death. People started buying those bottles and getting let down. Then those same RUclipsrs really don’t mention those fragrances anymore after the original hype. I’ve been subscribed to you for about a year or so I guess. You have certain fragrances that consistently make your lists or that you regularly talk about.Any other channels don’t do that they out hundreds of top 10s, 5s, 8, 7s, or what have you but don’t have many recurring fragrances. The hype things then don’t talk about them again. Mark goes further into which houses were built off of that idea and that is interesting too. Your consistency makes you trustworthy. Also you don’t seem to be falling in line with many of the other channels who are always on the latest hype train.

    Reviewers often say they are on a “fragrance journey” and in life like with any journey you see the good, the bad, and the ugly. So if you only reviewing the good thats very suspicsious. You gotta share the journey of good and bad fragrances because both exist

      Fair point. I think this is certainly relevant if a reviewer is receiving a lot of gifted bottles that they didn’t choose to have sent to them.

    This argument can only he used for 1st impressions. A top 10 list or any recommendation list wont have fragrances in it that you dont like but balanced reviews is what make a reviewer appear trustworthy because If everything is good nothing is good. Reviewing fragrances you dont necessarily like without sh!tting on the perfumer, brand or product shows a level of integrity and genuineness imo. The same criteria used to review fragrances you do like should be used for 1s you dont Its ok to say something isnt for you but the profile is x the performance is y etc etc. You should be able to show appreciation for the work without having to like it Not to mention the the fact You're stopping yourself from creating content by only giving positive reviews or 1st impressions
    Edit: by you I mean content creators

      By your premise, reviewers are either A. Blind buying everything, or B. Supposed to purchase scents they don’t like to balance the scales. I don’t think that makes good sense. Even for a reviewer/influencer. If they aren’t blind buying and are spending their own money, buying things they don’t actually like doesn’t make any sense.

    • @bhuda_finger1004
      @bhuda_finger1004 24 дня назад

      @deeno6067 samples, free bottles, blind buys and purchases for the sake of content all makes sense because it gets clicks and money. How ever they get the scent is irrelevant just give the review and be balanced. Take whether you like or dislike the fragrance out of it and tell me how it smells, how it's blended, longevity, quality etc etc... It doesn't matter if they like it or not tell me about it objectively and that is what a lot of these reviewers fail to do

    I realize I don't find salesmen / saleswomen youtubers honest and trustworthy. Once a very popular youtuber called Reflection man feminine not manly bashed it and next video by same youtuber it was in top 10 sexiest mens fragrance. One said they hate a particular note and because of that note they hated the fragrance. It also made a top 10 scents list. Contradictions I am not a fan of, shows they are in for the "affiliate link or use my code." Money is important and they are hustling just I won't be hustled nor believe someone liked me because I sprayed 6x JPG Le Male Elixir as a youtuber once recommended. Jeez I have never heard anything good in majority of settings where cologne showering was complimented.
