I will give you another perspective. I have been married for almost 20 years and when we married we were both a mess!!!!!!!!! I say that to say that I meet a lot of singles who think everything is perfect because I am married. And because I have a wonderful husband that loves God. In the beginning it was a train wreck. Thankfully God showed us how to work on ourselves while getting closer to Him and now our marriage is better than I could have imagined. So your advice to work on self before Mr. Right comes is priceless. I wish more women would take heed to that advice. Women I talk to seem to think that meeting and marrying Mr. Right is going to make everything okay and it does not work that way.
I totally understand going into a marriage and no one has done any work. I believe personal development is key. Its so unfair to a spouse to have to be a savior, rescuer and a deliverer all in one. Do the work and it will save some time and some tears. I sure am glad you and your husband made it through that rough patch. Marriage is WORK!
I have given up Miss Sandra. Just focusing on career now.
It’s ok to concentrate on your career, but don’t give up. Just when you get focused and satisfied he will come along. I think it’s a good idea to stay in expectation.
I will keep waiting until He decides to send me who He wants me to be with. I prayed asking God to send me someone of His choice. I learned to be patient for God's timing. Thanks for the encouragement and Have a bless day.
Amen, just as you have faith for finances, your children or love one is the same way you have to be aggressive concerning a husband or wife. Remind God of his word and his promises that he will withhold no good thing from you. Stand on it.
I would advise this. If you do NOT want any children of your own then wait. If you are interested in having a family get your self out there and make your presence known to prospective men. Volunteer, attend educational seminars where there are educated men present. May be a dance class to keep you fit and meet people. A lot of these dance classes don’t have enough female partners attending!! Pray to god fir him to help you meet your spouse. But don’t keep waiting if you want children. Your eggs are only viable for a short window of time. Do the work.! Black women are being religiously trained to be single. Do we wait on god fir the new car, home or career?? No, we seek and pursue it! So, do both things. Pray for that right man , but go out and position yourself to be FOUND!!!!

Waiting has a purpose and my feelings have no effect on his timing. He doesn't care how I feel and I don't care either, I think only of how to please God.
I find Spirit filled men incredibly attractive... In fact I have to stop listening to some of them online before something else creeps up on me...
I still have issues to pray through and it might take a while to sort out those things even though God says the wait is over...
I'll keep preparing as I await the manifestation of God's promise of a husband.

Don’t give up on love or meeting the right one. There is love out there for you. One of the things that causes major frustration in the life of a single is losing focus. When you start working on you and getting so lost in career, business, children, securing your bag the time goes by so fast. Sure there will be days of loneliness and at times desire for companionship but if you keep your focus it will go away. When it comes back every you rinse and repeat.
