I started VAN LIFE because i was tired of the day to day routine of doing the same thing, same job, same drive to work, same mornings, same nights...everything was the same day after day. Van Life has been just an awesome experience since day one. This full time for me. I am in this for the long haul. I Love Van life. Its been the best choice i have ever made. I started Van life with my English bulldog names Disco. He is my hommie and my heater lol. I Built my van build is simple to show everyone that you can start Van Life with just the basics and build your van as you go. That you don't need a big fancy build to get started. VAN LIFE is closer then you think. just grab the basics you need and get started. You will figure out what you need after you are in the van. I don't have solar or battery banks, a sink or an electric fridge. I didn't need that stuff to get started. I am sure in the future at some point when i feel the need for those things i will get them. But so far i have everything i need without all the fuss and stress of Solar panel, deep cycle batteries, and a full van build. One day maybe but right now i feel at home in my van with everything i need.
I have dedicated my life right now to doing youtube full-time, i have fallen in love with the creative aspect of filming and editing. I am still learning and and grinding to make this a full time gig for me. I would love to earn enough through youtube and Patreon to be able to travel and film for you and the world everyday. To share my journeys from my prospective and to inspire and uplift my viewers to be themselves and life the life they want. To be who they are truly meant to be. YOU.

You are so positive and infectious! I like my own city, too (Austin,TX)..but you HAVE put Vancouver on the list of must see places. They do seem fairly relaxed about the parking. I totally agree with you that the neat, clean appearance of both you and the van make a difference.

It's nice to feel safe in a BIG city! I'm from Philly originally and I can honestly tell you that nowhere in center city is safe, nor would I recommend you stay in NYC or Baltimore! Very sketchy bro!
Chrome! I'm so excited I stumbled across your channel. I have binged to this point and plan on doing all of it in the coming weeks. I've spend most of my adult life living out of a truck sleeper. I pass things every day I want to stop and see but parking a rig is tough in a lot of places. I had considered a camper for retirement(just 2 years away) but they have a lot of the same parking and access problems trucks do, Seeing your channel has opened a whole new world to me and I'm now more excited for retirement than I've ever been. Your enthusiasm is infectious and now I can't wait to retire and build my van(I'm loathe to use the term stealth van but it seems appropriate in this context) Maybe I'll even learn how to do this video thing for you tube just in case anyone wants to see where I go but I know I won't ever be great at it like you(I'm old enough technology still confuses the crap out of me) Anyway, keep on being weird and I hope I see you down the road somewhere.

We so miss being in Vancouver we love watching you drive around all the places we enjoy visiting. Today it brought back all our memories of walking up Granville and people watching and eating at all the cheap pizza by the slice places!

You make a lot of very good points Chrome, my van is very similar to yours, a white cargo van and I never worried about the whole "stealth" deal. People get so hooked on the idea that they have to be stealth and there is no point to it. The cops aren't dumb, they know if someone is in a van and for the most part they will not bother you if you aren't a problem to someone. In the spring I am putting graphics on my van and even with that it still won't really stick out because truth is, no one remembers a vehicle 5 minutes after they see it anyways. I love your vids, stay weird man....

I'm want to be on road by February, n I'm in Ontario so need to head the o warmer climate so Vancouver sounds awesome. Would love to meet you n get advice.
Vancouver is a gorgeous city, for sure. When you were driving into the city it reminds me sort of the awesome view as one would drive into our city of Seattle here. When you park in front of apartment buildings and such for the night, is there excessive noise? How well do you sleep when traffic is all around you? Does Disco ever bark and "protect" the van at night? :)
Oh that's awesome about Disco (not a barker!) That's one thing I'm a bit concerned about with my van life, as my two dachshunds are very protective of me and our space, so we shall see how that goes. Good thing most of my boondocking will be done in the beautiful woodsy areas around here where there isn't anyone for miles
I think mine will be way calmer too once we get out of this horrid apartment!!!! There is a herd of buffalo living upstairs, let's just say ;) Oh I cannot wait!!! The countdown reads: 109 days!
How long does your ice last? Do you just empty it out when it all melts? We’ll be using a cooler and not sure of the best way to use it.

One thing I don't like about parking in the city is that. I've had people park so close to me that I could barely get out in the morning and I've also had someone hit my bumper at night parking behind me.

hey dude I have a truck camper that's fairly sizeable. Makes my one ton like the size of a semi truck and pretty attention getting. Get compliments about it everywhere I go on Vancouver Island. Just got a job in Vancouver though and wondering about the feasibility of doing what you do or finding someone's driveway to potentially rent? what do you think? Dig your vids man, much love!

Awesome video! Totally enjoyed that laid back, lucky charms eating vibe. As you've mentioned before, people tend to overthink things and make it harder than it has to be. Your simple, straightforward approach to van life is right on. The city there is fantastic.. So many beautiful places to make your back yard anytime you want. The people who live in the $1000+ each month house or high rise.. It seems like they are the ones who are missing out. Stay awesome and I guess will catch you in the next video. 👍

Sure miss Vancouver. Living in the Peg now but this is home. Home is where my family's at. I've always loved the view of the city from North Van. You've got it even better though.... a view of Van. from North Van. in a van!!! Nice to see the numbers are still climbing for ya bud!!!
