Grezzo COMPLETELY changed these boss fights (Except for Majora). For those of you who were born later than 2000, The boss fights NEVER had eyes in them, and Gyorg was WAY harder than in this remake.
Huh? Gyorg has a new phase, but the first phase is exactly like the N64 original. In the original you can spam arrows and he was dead. Thats not possible anymore, also he has new moves. If anything the remake is harder
dampflokfreund What are you talking about? Many agree that the originals were much harder (except for odwalda and goht). Due to the fact that it was difficult to aim with Gyorg and the fact that he swam faster and tried to gobble you up while taking a few hearts away while he did that.
Does Gyorg still hit the platform, trying to knock down Link so he falls in the water? Because I didn't see it doing that in the remake, and that's the #1 reason he's hard in the original IMO. Also, they made Odolwa a _lot easier_ in the remake, not harder. Just compare his attacks here with the original game. I barely noticed the moth attack, when in the original I *had* to use a Bomb (Flower) to get rid of them. At least in his case it's justified as he's the first boss, but the difficulty drop is still noticeable.
NessBrawl64 Really? Because for me all I did was get up close and slash at his legs to do damage. As for the water thing, Gyorg is still more difficult to me in the original, and he slams into the platform anyway in the remake.
But I do think the original fights were harder. And Odolwa wasn't that easy; you still had to be careful, since not only he can block the attacks, he can spin around to retaliate too. I don't see anything particularly difficult in the remake, as even his worst attacks were toned down considerably. I did like the new way of beating him, but he's just too easy to compensate.
I love how they managed to change all of the boss fights FOR THE BEST. I didn't plan to spend money on a 3ds, but seeing this game remade is just amazing.
Andrusto100 Meh... It still would have been better if you got the giants mask earlier like before instead of randomly pausing the fight, get rid of the stupid fucking eyeballs on all of these bosses, and have it make logical sense to put on the giants mask instead of you having to without making any sense. I guess it looks cooler than the original but it's still bad.
Did Goht ever need a big, bulging Majora eye on his back to be one of the most awesome fights ever seen in the Zelda franchise? the answer to that is NO, IT DIDN'T FREAKING NEED IT!!!!
I'm happy with the new boss fights. They always have been so easy. Gyorg now is my very favourite boss It was such a cool moment when you don't know what's happening and you're forced to be in the water with the big fish. First time fighting Twinmold took me so long because the red one always got up, perhaps four times? xD
the first boss on 3ds made the use of the deku mask good, the second did not really change that much, the third somehow became less annoying (thats a good thing) and the fourth was God damn awesome, your hands have the power of a iron knuckles hand.
+Zephiel810 pn behalf of Poppy i want to say we appreciate you making this video too for such an under appreciated game thank you we love this video & you have our support always
Holy shit that was AMAZING!!! Did you see how Giant Link grabbed Twinmold by the tail and swing him around like Mario did to Bowser in Super Mario 64, but instead of throwing his ass, Link laid him the fuck out by slamming Twinmold into the ground and making a roar of superiority! GOD DAMN LINK! Y U SO AWESOME!?
I think the bosses' new weakspots, aka the big eye, is a really cool feature. Why ? Because they look just like one of Majora's eyes. It really helps connecting the bosses with Majora even more. Also, I'm not gonna lie. I'm not a fan of Majora's Mask. At all. But after watching what they made to the bosses... I'm almost willing to get the 3DS version and give it a chance to change my opinion about the game.
So to all who are complaining about the eyes, it is just showing how the bosses are being controlled by Majora. It's just as good as OOT, but just with a different use of weak areas. Stop fussing about the eye. I don't get why people get mad about it. We all have one, and if they are hit, they get hurt.
Right?! Imo targeting an eye is much more difficult, and strategic then just spamming arrows or spin attacks! Twinmold literally flew around you and did nothing. Gyorg battle was annoying, tedious and boring! And Goht all you had to was, Ride his a** as the goron! I like that the fire arrows and light arrows cole into affect during the Goht and Twinmold battles! And during the Gyorg battle! You're safety net drops and you're forced to fight him under water feeding him bombs! And making good use of the Zora controls! All these people just have nothing better to complain about then some stupid little thing in a video game!
i love a lot how they changed the transformation for the giant mask, in the original game it never looked like you were giant, it looked like everything just became smaller, now that they changed it, it looks the way it should, like a heavy and poweful creature
Odolwa, overall worse than the original. They removed 2 really great things from him: The "move wave" effects when he jumps up and comes down, and his crazy dance is almost completely gone. Also he is now easier than in the original since he attacks less and just waits until you knock him down with a deku nut. The only improvement is the case that you can't spam sword attacks anymore which still wasn't that powerful in the original, since he likely jumped away after some slashes anyway. Goht, overall equal to the original. While it was badass to beat him with the fists as a Goron, it's also a good change of pace, having to turn into Link and shooting arrows into the eye. Also makes sense since you could find some in 1-2 pots in the original too (because of having to unfreeze him). Gyorg, overall way better than the original. While he was a little bit harder in the original, it was due to bad battle design. You had to shoot arrows until he was stunned, then changing into Zora-Link to attack with either the Magic shield or the boomerangs. That was all you had to do and it was mostly tedious and not very enjoyable. Now his movement is way better in the first phase, adding a second phase after, where you have to be Zora-Link and releasing water bombs. Also the amount of the piranhas seems fairer. Good and welcome improvements. Twinmold, overall better than the original. You had 2 choices to fight him in the original, either shoot the faces or the tail-ends with arrows or slash both Molds with the sword as a giant, which you had to find the mask for in the dungeon (not hard). Now you must fight them with arrows first, but the weak spots are different, and a little bit easier to hit. Only after beating one of them, you get the Giant mask. It seems you HAVE to beat the 2nd Mold as a giant, which is neither bad nor amazing. But one thing for sure is: Child Link also gains huge muscles and can attack with either boxing or rolling! After the Mold is stunned, Link swings him around and smashes him into the ground. Just great! Also Twinmold has new attacks, shooting fire-/eletric-balls and releasing small tail-less doubles of him. Fighting him in a new cycle probably gives you the option to fight both Molds as a giant! The original one was ok-good and this version is even better. I just wonder if the player makes more damage to the eyes if shooting with the arrows found in the dungeon (Odolwa with normal ones, Goht with fire, Gyorg with ice (first phase) and Twinmold with light).
Koopa Star Road Light arrows, it has the gem on its tail during the first phase. But since its too fast and the gem will shut off the gem when its brother/sister is dead, you have very little chance of killing it while using arrows.
Wow, all of a sudden the fight against Twinmold is an epic confrontation. I wish the fight against Majora was similarly reworked, so that you don't have to intentionally not use the Fierce Deity mask to get a challenge. .
Yeah like maybe if you beat Majora with teh Fierce deity mask he's suddenly unleashes a new secert 4th form that's very tough and only fierce deity can beat him.
My opinions on the bosses now: Odolwa: Meh, he's okay Goht: Meh, he's okay Gyorg: THIS FIGHT IS SO MUCH BETTER! I PLAYED IT, AND I LIKED IT! Twinmold: Best boss in the game. Hands down.
Well, -damn-, Nintendo should toggle the sword/shield off in the Zelda U, since Link can APPARENTLY fistfight giant ass worms with no fucking problem, I'm sure ground critters aren't a challenge
I do NOT like what they did with any of them, especially Goht. In the original, it was awesome being a Goron and ramming into him over and over and then chasing him at top speed around the room. It completely ruins the flow of the fight if you have to turn back into a human and attack him.
in my opinion they ruined the bosses in this game by giving all of them (excluding majora) giant eyes and not allowing u to use the sword during twin mold
So? How giant eyes & not being able to use a sword against Twinmold a bad thing. Besides the boss fights are much better now. Esscpially Twinmold fight where it has much more depth then just swinging your sword around until they're dead. And who needs to a sword when you can beat it with your giant bare hands.
It ruined what made the original game actually good, making you actually have to get up close and personal with these bosses while they were in full attack mode, putting you in full danger of getting your balls rocked in a microsecond. And there were multiple ways to beat each boss as well, and there were no obvious weak spots. This made the game far more challenging with the pace of each fight being dictated by YOUR ability to play. The 3DS version threw that out the fucking window and made it WAY TOO EASY to beat each boss, and that just ruined the experience for me.
The bosses have been changed to be more accessible for new players, but for me that doesn't make them better, they don't feel as exciting and thrilling as they were in the original version and they're also longer than in the original version, being easier and longer makes the boss fights more bland, also you use the arrows to kill them in the 3DS version, because you only get arrow upgrades in the dungeons they had to make it necessary for every boss to be killed with the arrows, I guess that's the reason they went with the giants eyes
+Alan Cervantes The original is the best, always. Anyone who says this is better also likes the Starwars remasters. LMAO okay, that's a little too far I guess. xD
"to beat a zelda boss, attack the giant eyeball" it's supposed to be an inside joke, not a rule of thumb... aside from that, the boss fight changes were ok i guess
G9 Music The Wii virtual console version didn't have the eyes. That was introduced in this remake. All previous versions were exactly like the N64 game.
@@Name-kd5jj They Didn't have eyes in the wii version either. I remember specifically that i couldn't beat gyorg because i couldn't locate his weak spot.
I actually find the 3D version of Odolwa much better than the original. In the N64 version, I really wasn't sure what to do when I first fought him. In this version, just from the intro I know what to do!! That eye on his head was his weak point, and seeing all the deku flowers around the room told me that you'd stun him from above. Now that's awesome!!
ThePeregrineFalcon dont be stupid pls, i didnt say i play with it did i? and its my freaking opinion, i wanted TO SEE the classic fight here. so piss off
***** Yeah Oni Link is OP it would've been really cool if they gave Majoras various forms a bit more of a defense against him. not to mention if Majora was strong enough to give Oni Link a decent fight than trying to fight It without the Oni mask would be all the more challenging and fun
After seeing Majora's Incarnation turn into Majora's Wrath, I may never sleep again... My brother was the one who actually played the game so this was the first time I saw that happen.
You people disgust me. They improved and refined the bosses to make better use of Link's abilities and transformations. If you are going to act so butthurt over these battles then go dust off your old N64 and play the original geeze. People are so blinded by nostalgia. Gyorg was pathetic. You just shot him in the head then dove in used the barrier then jumped out and repeated. Twinmold was worse because all they did was fly around doing nothing to attack you making them easy targets. These bosses now are more like bosses. Oh and the eye thing. It's symbolic and represents the presence of Majora and his evil influence in each of the regions. I feel that too much nostalgia is a bad thing because when it comes to improved remakes they are too blinded by the original. Also not much else has changed aside from the bosses and many of the stuff they added in was more convenient like an improved save system.
Exactly! I love the original to majoras mask but the 3D remake is a better change, the symbolism is there and enhanced, plus the fights are more like fights, rather than spam your sword Although I w push they could of been more creative with the final boss fight... It seemed too.... Similar to the original
Gyorg is still one of the best fights in this game. It's made with just right right amount of difficulty, the fight is long enough to be challenging but no so long as to be tedious, and there is a satisfaction when you see that overgrown minnow go down. I just hate the new eyeball weakness in all the bosses. That sucks...the different weaknesses among the boss fights is one of the things that makes the Zelda games so much fun.

Lol the new Twinmold fight is godly as fuck. Kinda the same like Mario 64 Bowser fight's.
Dude! That's exactly what I was thinking. SM64 is awesome.
Butt0nSm4sh3r it would be cool if SM64 got a 3d remake :D
+Xenoverse tip guide there was A remake
not a 3D one
Heedfulconch3
i want a 3d one though,even a HD wii u remake would be good!

Sir.....Fuck you.
Roventheus Blacklite
Yeah, how dare he make a harmless reference to an anime that he loves?!
...Seriously though, why get so salty over that? I don't even like SnK (I realize it's good, but I find it too dark for me to enjoy), but that was uncalled for.
totofze47 Actually I am from a planet called Fucka, on planet Fucka, our way of saying hello is to say "Fuck off" just like you humans would do it....So good sir Fuck off to you too.
Roventheus Blacklite
How old are you anyway....
Hawky Midori 69 years old :v
Is too easy to beat to Majora if you're wearing the Fierce Deity's mask. You didn't let us see its attacks!! -_-
I disliked because of that
Dude just search up another video or play it yourself
@One Triggered Zeno Boi Fair point
I love how they managed to change all of the boss fights FOR THE BEST. I didn't plan to spend money on a 3ds, but seeing this game remade is just amazing.
The Twinmold Boss fight was a fucking good remake...! Am I the only one who thinks the same...?
No
ShadowForceHD Yay. :3
Majoras Mask × Ocarina of Time Best games
ShadowForceHD Yes!
The voice of Majora's Mask, Incarnation and Wrath is so cute. But he's just so creepy!
Howdy from Georgia!!!
Once again, I want to thank you for the work you do for these videos for us as reference!! I, for one, appreciate it!!

Wow! They made the boss fights more epic than the original!

Lmao you got dealt with at 5:05 😂
Logic : Twinmold takes more time to kill with Giants mask than it does to kill all of Majora
When Twinmold dies, i kinda hear it say "Piedad!", which is Spanish for "Mercy!"
I noticed that when the four temple bosses die, a little puff of purple smoke comes out of them that's shaped like Majora's Mask.
and the eyes are Majora's eyes
I think the bosses' new weakspots, aka the big eye, is a really cool feature. Why ?
Because they look just like one of Majora's eyes. It really helps connecting the bosses with Majora even more.
Also, I'm not gonna lie. I'm not a fan of Majora's Mask. At all. But after watching what they made to the bosses... I'm almost willing to get the 3DS version and give it a chance to change my opinion about the game.
ShycoWar it’s really fun, I’m bad at video games so I struggle a lot with it but honestly it’s a ton of fun
16:24 BIG reference right there
So long gay bowser!
Majora normally: wow it’s kinda hard
Majora with fierce deity: *cant even see its attacks*
the bosses here are so less menacing. ah, i wish it had been a straight port with no changes. I'll stick with the masterpiece N64 version.
i love a lot how they changed the transformation for the giant mask, in the original game it never looked like you were giant, it looked like everything just became smaller, now that they changed it, it looks the way it should, like a heavy and poweful creature
But since its too fast and the gem will shut off the gem when its brother/sister is dead, you have very little chance of killing it while using arrows.
twinmold remake was awesome...eyes are creepy as hell....
fierce deity is sooo OP lol....I LOVE IT
Wow, all of a sudden the fight against Twinmold is an epic confrontation. I wish the fight against Majora was similarly reworked, so that you don't have to intentionally not use the Fierce Deity mask to get a challenge. .
Like Majora getting stronger if you use it?
Yeah like maybe if you beat Majora with teh Fierce deity mask he's suddenly unleashes a new secert 4th form that's very tough and only fierce deity can beat him.
that´s a good idea
+Michaeldragon800 but then people would cheese by using it for nearly all and finishing it normally
My opinions on the bosses now:
Odolwa: Meh, he's okay
Goht: Meh, he's okay
Gyorg: THIS FIGHT IS SO MUCH BETTER! I PLAYED IT, AND I LIKED IT!
Twinmold: Best boss in the game. Hands down.
This game taught me that MM fanbase is extremely picky.
Do you want your game bosses to have a stupid big eye in every single one of them?
Picky that the remake dumbed down and casualized the game?
Majora's wrath...
The mother of all bosses within the game...
Well, -damn-, Nintendo should toggle the sword/shield off in the Zelda U, since Link can APPARENTLY fistfight giant ass worms with no fucking problem, I'm sure ground critters aren't a challenge
You can fight with your fists in the Oracle games I think with the Fist or the Boxing Ring item equipped.
The hell is an ass worm?
Brendan Hurley Google it.
I liked how Fierce Deity Link is just standing there watching Majora turn form
I do NOT like what they did with any of them, especially Goht. In the original, it was awesome being a Goron and ramming into him over and over and then chasing him at top speed around the room. It completely ruins the flow of the fight if you have to turn back into a human and attack him.
Oh for god's sake, then SHUT UP AND GO PLAY THE OLD ONE THEN!
my fav boss is Gyorg i love the way he looks and the battle looks cool
in my opinion they ruined the bosses in this game by giving all of them (excluding majora) giant eyes and not allowing u to use the sword during twin mold
Twinmold from this game is my least fav boss in video games he is so frustrating and he not fun
i agree takes to long
The bosses have been changed to be more accessible for new players, but for me that doesn't make them better, they don't feel as exciting and thrilling as they were in the original version and they're also longer than in the original version, being easier and longer makes the boss fights more bland, also you use the arrows to kill them in the 3DS version, because you only get arrow upgrades in the dungeons they had to make it necessary for every boss to be killed with the arrows, I guess that's the reason they went with the giants eyes
nintendo + eyes = a long love shipping history
Jesus, the game looks so much better...
I can't see a difference plus it's just too damn low
13:04- damn you just think,, nevermind i am not going to hit him". But damn that was a sweet shoot!
now do all this using fierce deitys mask. (two seconds later) oh you beat the game cool
Ahhh i love majoras mask :D
Nintendo 64 for the win
+Alan Cervantes Aw, does somebody not have the 3DS version?
+Alan Cervantes The original is the best, always. Anyone who says this is better also likes the Starwars remasters. LMAO okay, that's a little too far I guess. xD
IRNatman Yes, now you're not respecting opinions.
Someone took my comment way too seriously.DylanDude120 - The Thrower of Shells
IRNatman I know, that's why I said "yes".
The fish and the desert centipede were the most epic boss fights I've ever seen.
"to beat a zelda boss, attack the giant eyeball"
it's supposed to be an inside joke, not a rule of thumb...
aside from that, the boss fight changes were ok i guess
sick video helped me allot on the 3ds version
good game zephiel :)
...Twinmold...holy freaking crow...you've gotta be kidding me...LMAO...but so utterly epic!!
This is a bit different from the original isn't it? I don't remember the giant eye on every boss.
l don't think in the original any of the bosses had giant eyes
blastoiserush Yeah, i think they added that in the Wii version or something.
well l haven't played the Wii version so l don't know for sure
Now that's awesome!!
its been like 13 years... and i still think fierce deity link is a party pooper
How? You already beat the bosses, so if you want to fight them the classic way, then don't use the freakin' mask!!
ThePeregrineFalcon dont be stupid pls, i didnt say i play with it did i? and its my freaking opinion, i wanted TO SEE the classic fight here. so piss off
***** Dude. Chill. Watch Chuggaaconroy. He did the classic fight. (But unfortunately in the N64 version)
***** Oh, and also, not sure if you knew this, but when you fight Majora with Fierce Deity, that is the OFFICIAL fight.
***** Yeah Oni Link is OP it would've been really cool if they gave Majoras various forms a bit more of a defense against him. not to mention if Majora was strong enough to give Oni Link a decent fight than trying to fight It without the Oni mask would be all the more challenging and fun
woow you really feel the power with the giant mask this time xD hahaha
Hated that fish boss battle so annoying on phase 2

The second boss reminds me of the King Ghost boss in Sonic Adventure 2 that Knuckles had to fight. "Augh! A ghost!"
Odolowa's eye is new. Every eye is new.

You are a genius and i love you
Exactly! I love the original to majoras mask but the 3D remake is a better change, the symbolism is there and enhanced, plus the fights are more like fights, rather than spam your sword
Although I w push they could of been more creative with the final boss fight... It seemed too.... Similar to the original

They thought Odolwa wasn't good enough, so they gave him a FRICKING EYE ON THE BACK OF HIS HEAD.
Fierce Deity Link vs. Majora. Let the rapeage commence
Wow Twinmold, you got better!
You can also grab Twinmold's head and put him in a choke hold lol. Best boss fight ever.
15:46 LINK SMASH! xD
+Grey yeah
+Grey never would have though of saying that but yeah Link smash lol
