Thanks for this video. I’m just starting out right now with a landing page for an idea I have and trying to collect emails of interested visitors. Would you recommend adding additional pages to the landing page or just keeping it simple at one?
@@JaumeRos yes! The saas app i’m trying to verify is a lower price point in a typically “low tech” industry. So SEO and google are gonna be my main drivers of traffic. I am working on setting up a blog and thinking of free tools I can build and share, but this audience is typically not very online and almost all interaction Id guess will be through google and long tail keywords. Really appreciate the response! been watching a lot of your videos to try and come up with a plan
Hey so I love your videos, but I'm having issues with my newest store. All the e-com SEO vids are often about stores with a huge catalogue. What is your strategy if the store only has 4 products in the same category? BTW I know this video isn't e-com related but just wondering.
Hey - Great question. I’d say the strategy is the same - except its a lot simpler cause you don’t have the complexity of pagination, canonicals etc. Not sure if that answers your question. What were you thinking might be different?
@@JaumeRos So, the products are very artsy, they don't really have a functionality nor do they have big informational or commercial search volumes. They're still selling well though, I've sold over 2.500 units last year on Google Ads and the biggest competitors are doing millions in revenue. But now I'm trying to gain traction on the SEO part, as I currently need to spend big on ads for every sale. I really struggle to write content for these products though, as they have no function other than being a nice ornament or gift. Can you really rank high when you only have like 10 websitepages? Or should I forget about the bulk content and just focus on backlinks and UX?
Thanks for adding some context. You can definitely rank well with 10 pages if you have lots of authority. The thing is that you’re kind of limited by the scope of those pages and how competitive those keywords are. So if those 10 pages are competing for really competitive keywords and you have low authority in comparison to your competitors it might be tough. Thats why it makes sense to develop informational content to help rank for easier keywords. How are your competitors doing it? Do they only have 10 pages as well? Check what they’re doing. What about informational content relating to decoration/ furniture? And yes, always focus on improving the authority that should always be on the priority list.
@@JaumeRos Thanks man I'm definitely going to work on that authority. Competitors have done it by spending big on social ads/FB ads back when that was still affordable and now they're just big brands which gave them the authority kind of organically (i think) We can write some content about decoration and home decor and wedding and birth gifts, that could be an angle. Thank you for the reply!
Thanks Jaume. One question: If the (SERP Overlap Score) and (Relevance Score ) are over 50, do I have to merge both keywords on one page or can I, but don't have to? For some keywords + city I see different results, sometimes no "Relevance Score" at all and for some cities 40 to 50! So I thought for all cities to make separate pages, is that a good decision?
@@JaumeRos To avoid keyword cannibalization, for example: "employment agency city" and "temp agency city" sometimes I see google ranke some websites for both keywords, and sometimes not!
Hi Jaume! I have problem with indexing my new posts. No article has been indexed on my website for more than 20 days. Every time I upload an article to GSC, I ask for manual page indexing, but none of them are indexed anyway. It just says "Discovered - currently not indexed" and somewhere even "URL is unknown to Google". In my opinion, it is not normal that one article is not indexed for 15 days. Otherwise, from the end of June until today, about 10 articles have been added. Do you perhaps know what the problem is, if there is a problem at all. Can I contact you somewhere to send you my page and see if I'm making mistakes in SEO optimization or something like that? Thanks in advance
Hey Kraljevic! Thanks for the question. Is this a new domain? How many pages do you have indexed? How much traffic is your website getting? Is there a lot of quality content on these pages? From my experience ive seen this happen with new sites, and sites that publish pages with low quality content. Let me know if your site checks either of those boxes.
@@JaumeRos I have about 17 articles indexed. There are about 27 articles uploaded on the site. The texts are 1000-3000 words long. I respect the basic parameters of seo optimization, etc... I contacted my support from hsot and they told me that I had a problem with robots.txt because it was not set properly and they told me that I have to wait 72 hours for the rest of my texts to be indexed. I would like to send you my site so that you can review it and give your opinion, do you have an email or something?
