If you guys gradually introduce flavors, spices, and sweetness into your meals and build up as you go you won't be so overwhelmed when you come over to the states.Life will be happier in general too
A Key Lime pie or cheesecake tastes very much like lime, so I don’t understand why they’re complaining. It’s not sour, it just tastes like lime and it’s sweet.
I think most Americans watching those two often scream at their computer screens, like "Hey, you see all those sauces in front of you on your table at the Mexican restaurant? They are supposed to go on your food!"
AliKai, Cheesecake factory's main dinner portions are also large enough to share or to takeaway. They have many many different dishes ranging from BIG Dinner Salads, Pastas, burgers, steaks, Fish, and more... Cheesecake Factory's Dessert menu has a list of about 15 different cheesecakes! My favorite cheesecake they have is Dulca De Leche which is a creamy caramel flavored cheesecake. They also have a few other desserts as well...I also loved "Big Bang Theory" which is now replayed in re-runs on tv now.
They actually have 38 different cheesecakes on their menu and several that are seasonal. Their menu has nearly 500 different items to order also. I’ve never eaten there but my daughter has on several occasions and loves it. Key lime is supposed to be sour and key limes are even more sour than regular limes. 🫶🏻 love you guys. I also love to watch baby Archie. There is a channel on RUclips called The Try Guys and one of them does a series called Eat the Menu where he literally eats a bite of everything on the entire menu - Cheesecake Factory was so large , it took 3 episodes to complete and shows you everything on the entire menu. I also watch and love The Big Bang Theory. Blessings.🫶🏻
Just remember in the US you can ask for Styrofoam containers or to go containers and take what you do not eat on site home with you. It is a very normal thing. Portion sizes are large because with so many competing establishments, the old value for money thing rings true. If we offer more for the price people will come here.
Key Lime Pie is my absolute favorite. I''m not sure how I would feel about it in cheesecake form. It should be sweet and tart, not sour. The flavor of Key Limes is very distinctive.
The wonderful thing about Cheesecake Factory is there are so many different varieties of their trademark dessert. Try the chocolate varieties like caramel chocolate nut cheesecake. They also serve the best devils food cake which is several layers of chocolate flour cake sandwiched with fudgy filling and topped with a dark chocolate icing and chocolate bits! And their signature carrot cake.
So key lime is typically very limey, i find it refreshing. Costco has a wonderful Key Lime Coconut Pie, in which the coconut offsets the tartness of the lime.
Key lime pie is made from tiny limes from the Florida Keys. They are known to be extra tart. And the pie version is normally made that way. I love it but I'm not sure about the Cheesecake version. Some people do not like Key Lime at all. The way to go to CheeseCake Factory is in a group of 8 people all ordering 2 slices of different flavors. Then split them up into 8 pieces so everyone gets a sampling of everything. Then order more of what you really liked. Do try the Key Lime pie first.
Your wife is right, Ice cream will overpower the subtle taste of the cheese in the Cheesecake or, at best, make it a one not texture desert. It is the textural contrast of creamy Ice-cream against tart fruit that compliments Apple pie, really most pies for that matter. Same thing for cake, dense cake flower against its textural opposite, soft, smoothed, almost liquid ice-cream adds moisture because cake can often be a tad bit dry. So, that works as well. There isn't much contrast between Ice-cream and cheesecake...that's just dairy on top of dairy!
The menu has 250 items and they're all made from scratch. With 21 pages, plus a two-page Skinnylicious menu, the chain's menu is serious reading material.Mar 19, 2019
I would say key lime can be overly limey depending on where you go. Key limes have a tart yet smoother flavor that regular limes to me so it's quite easy to add one too many for a dish. I don't think it works as well with cream cheese for a cheesecake as well as it does with sweetened condensed milk for the pie. The sweetened condensed milk adds just the right extra bit of sweetness to tone down the key lime flavor.
Unfortunately this wasn’t one of the Beesley’s more successful videos. 1. One of the reasons why The Cheesecake Factory is both beloved and mocked is having a multiple page menu with more options than you can think of (making it smart for a group with finicky eaters who all want different things) yet they ONLY get cheesecake (not to say plenty of people don’t do the same). 2. They get Key Lime Cheesecake having never had Key Lime Pie, as opposed to getting a different flavor when there’s so many to choose from 3. According to the comments, key limes are less tart than normal limes, and since this is California, I suspect they’re just using normal limes - what is anyone gonna do, sue them for false advertising? I did recently replicate their order, and I did find the key lime cheesecake to be too tart (the whipped cream didn’t provide enough balance); the other issue is TCF isn’t the cheapest place, so it’s not like I can go regularly enough to figure out which menu items I like more. And of course, one cannot expect a chain restaurant to have cheesecake as amazing as a local favorite in NYC.
yeah cheese cake factory is a meme where i am from. its basically just a big diner in the form of a middling restaurant. one of our bosses brought his wife to the cheese cake factory for his anniversary and everyone laughed really hard at him lol. its on the same level as Chilis or TGI fridays. Im sure most of their food is frozen and just microwaved/reheated. Half the reason people go there is for the overpriced bar.
I like the Beasleys, but this is not a good video to represent The Cheesecake Factory. You need to see the menu. Also the Beasleys have very tame taste buds. The mildest spice will make them tear up. 😂
I think my taste buds will definitely be tested when we eventually make it over the pond. 😅 You have to remember that in the UK we only dabble with salt and pepper and rarely stray from the path! 🤣

Ican't comment about the taste of the Key Lime Cheesecake since I've never had one, but my most favorite pie flavor is Key Lime Pie. I don't find it overpowering but I could it being odd when part of a cheesecake. I doubt that I would hate it though.
I don't know why he's so infatuated about sweet drinks. Oh, it's so sweet when I was stationed in the UK they were plenty and plenty of sweet drinks. and sweet food. He is a bit over the top

@@pacmon5285 they're not used to flavor and confuse it with sweetness. I've seen so many Europeans try sugar free drinks and complain that they're "so sugary I'll be bouncing off the walls" 😂
@5:02 I don´t think they have every eaten "real" cheese cake. It is made with cheese not dough, thus not "cakey". The crust is soggy because they are sitting outside. You can see that the whipped cream already slide off the top due to heat.
@@pacmon5285 You missed the point. If you´ve never eaten real cheese cake you have nothing to compare it to. They did say that it is not "cakey".....like a normal cake. What is so hard to understand?
@@gertexan It looks quite different to cheese cake that we've had here, often the base here is of a biscuit consistency (not the southern biscuits) and a little thicker. Although that one looks like heaven and I'd have definitely smeared that cream all over it! 😃
@@AliKaiProject Yeah, there is a difference between New York cheese cake and lets say German cheese cake. I worked in Germany for a few years and absolutely loved the German version. NY cheese cake is "stiffer" and maybe a tick sweeter, but is just as good. The small bakery by my place in Germany sometimes put raisins or sour cherries in theirs. The ladies behind the counter knew me as I was in there so often. Over the years I tried every cake and pastry they had. Nothing is better then with a nice coffee.

They evidently aren't accustomed to flavor. They don't have a sophisticated palate, so I wouldn't take their response with any weight.
I wonder why James said the original wasnt cheese. Cheese cake is usually made with cream cheese.

Big Bang is always our go to series if we can't find anything to watch, a bit of a modern Friends. Big portions sound perfect to me! :)

Jolly just put out a video where they gave British High School students snacks from Buc-ee's...
Sounds like properly made Key Lime if it is tart and tangy. They looked like they hated it, while I looked on in envy.
