Hey Dee nice to see you visiting Portland Jamaica 🇯🇲 my home town sorry I'm not there to meet up with you Hope that you have a great time I've seen that you already made it to the rastafari camps it's a blessing much love ❤️
Dee, you are doing great. There are no perfect human beings on planet earth. Jamaica loves you! I pray that God will continue to bless you in Jamaica. So you visit my parish, St. Mary. It's a very beautiful parish; it's green and lush with lots of coconut trees. One time the parish had much more coconut trees, but a disease killed off most of the trees. When you are cooking the ackee, always let the water boil first, before you put the ackee in the pot. Never put the ackee in cold water to boil. When you you are cleaning the ackee, it's better to twist the seed to remove it, and use your fingers or short knife to remove the inside. That way you don't waste a lot of the ackee. Remember, Kino is city person, so you can't rely on his way of cooking Jamaican food. Please, learn from Miss Little and the other guy. They are professional cooks, and they know the proper way of doing things.
Don't be mistaken, there are ones from the city that know how to cook Ackee too as well as many other menus. At a certain point in time there were ackee trees including other fruits trees all over the areas known as the corporate area in large quantities. Kingston being the melting pot for all incoming rural folks, was indeed the venue for different ideas. As boys we used to run a lot of what is known as "boats" in areas of St. Andrew and Kingston, a term used for freestyle cooking along river banks, hillsides and seashores of Kingston as what is being seen now by Homies and Dee. I'm sure young Kino is open to learning more as Kingston is nowhere as it used to be back then.
@@overviewthemThanks for reminding me about Kingston. I lived there when my family moved from the country. You are so right; we have good cooks all over the island 🏝️. Correction well noted!
