- My BreyerFest ticket books finally arrived! After seeing so many posts on social media about the Special Runs people were allocated due to the different preference lists, I was really worried about which SRs I'd end up with.
I open all six of my books in this video.
Have you received your tickets? Did you get the SRs you were hoping for?
Which method did you use to submit your preferences?
Next it'll be seeing which--if any--SR variations you get!

Wow! You came out great with the individual lists! 🥳🥳
Yeah! I'm so grateful!! And I can't wait to get into these Surprises!! ♥
That person that got AAAALL of those Franzs omg :O
Hooray for the Steins!!!
They really are so nice!! The SR vouchers tear out on perforated lines and the paper/design/trading card nerd me LOVES it. (And I know: the poor Franz person, trying so hard to trade vouchers for something {anything} else to have some variety!)
Your duplicates were really the best duplicates possible! most people are trying to trade FOR them so if you had any you wanted and didn't get you're good to go!
I did the individual and had 5 tickets total, 3 pickups. My picks on my two were Stein, Elbe and Spree, Surprise, and Rapunzel in different orders, my pickups were Franz, Brahms, Landler, and Surprise. I got 5 Surprises, 2 Landlers, 1 Brahms, 1 Franz, and 1 Rapunzel. It worked out because I was able to find trades to get Stein and Elbe and Spree for my landler and one of my 3 surprises. Super happy about the tickets I got and love the community so far. I am so pumped!
Hooray! That'll be a good haul!! I may trade a Landler for Elbe and Spree, and get a Marz secondhand. I've got a bit of FOMO about Franz; he's a cutie! Glad your tickets worked out too!
Piece of advice for those that are getting multiple Surprises. You might want to go at different times to pick up your Surprises rather than getting them all in one trip through the line. As we know from people that got multiple Surprises during virtual BF the chances for duplicates are high. That’s because when the workers pack the boxes containing the Surprise models they pack the same color side by side & the most common color is usually at the top of the box.
When they did the hourly SR lines the models for each hour were being pulled from a separate set of boxes & since you were only allowed one Surprise each hour your chances of getting 3 or more of the same color were low. But picking them up all at once will result in lots of duplicates.
There’s 24-28 Surprises in one box & each color is in each box but the same color is packed next to each other with 8-10 of the most common color being at the top. So if the people handing out the Surprise models have just opened a new box & you hand them 4 or 5 vouchers the odds of you getting duplicates of the most common color are pretty high.
I attended BF for 28 yrs (1993-2019) & went through the lines too many times to count. I also watched what the people in front & behind me got when we picked the Surprise model & the pattern was pretty consistent. So unless the packers at the warehouse decide to really mix up the Surprises this year it would probably be better to make 2-3 trips through the line to get them if you have multiple Surprise vouchers.
Correction: I attended BF from 1992-2019. 28 consecutive yrs. One of the perks of living in Lexington KY.
This is a really helpful tip! Thanks so much, Lea!!
You got a great ticket haul! I was worried Stein would end up like Pollock last year so me and my friends ended up with 5 Stein and 5 surprises but at least trading allows you to meet great new folks
Haha oh my goodness! That's a lot of Steins! 😅 The Surprises will be so fun to open, and you're right: it'll all be great for trading! (I was convinced Stein was the most popular model this year too and would sell out--I'm pretty sure he did--so I'm thrilled I have one that will hopefully be matte, and one that'll hopefully be glossy! We'll see! Eek!)
I agree that the way Breyer does the individual and master list is really confusing. They did it last year, and idk if it’s any less confusing this year than it was last year
I must've missed that Master was even an option last year. I did individual--really wanted Pollock--didn't get him, but got my next choice. I really don't understand the differences and also don't understand why they need two preference list options? It'd be great if there was one system that worked well and benefited the most amount of people.
@@CandaceToo idk the way I understood it was that it was really for people who bought multiple tickets. If every ticket is for you, then the master list was better because it’s listing the models you want most to the models you want least. And the individual list is if each ticket is for a different person with different preferences, like if the whole family is going so each ticket has a most preferred model. But I think the way they worded it was confusing. And yeah I think that it’s a bit skewed if someone gets every SR ticket they bought turn out to be a duplicate, and it’s the same duplicate model across the board. I’m not sure how they sort it out, but I feel like they should try to give as few duplicates as possible unless that’s the model they specifically chose. Luckily I got most of the models I wanted last year, but I know a lot of people who weren’t so happy about who they got
Loving all the videos! Can’t wait until the next video!
Thank you so much, Claire! I'm happy you're here!
Im really happy I got all the models I want! I was a bit concerned at first since my tickets hadn't been coming, but I just got them today and Im super glad!
Oh that's great! The waiting was really kinda scary. 😅 Now the anticipation of BreyerFest opening day and picking up the models!
HI 😁👋
Hello! Welcome! 😊
Hi Candace! I was wondering if you would like to trade a surprise model for my marzipan? I have been trying to find someone for a while but haven’t had any luck. If not I understand completely! Thanks. This was a great video I love watching your breyerfest videos!
Hello! Thanks so much for coming over! I actually got a Marzipan secondhand since I'm hoping for a color variation in his run (fingers crossed!), so I'm all set on Marz. I'm looking forward to the Surprise model the most I think! I bet there are people willing to trade vouchers at the park though, or trade a duplicate Surprise for an SR they already have, or just sell the Surprise they don't care for. You could also try the Facebook group called "Breyerfest ticket trade" to see if anyone in there will swap tickets? Best of luck! I hope you have a blast at BreyerFest!
@@CandaceToo thank you! I completely understand! I will check it out I posted it already on a breyer trading and selling group but that sounds promising! Best of luck finding a cool variation of Marz!
@@that_hunter_jumper818 Thanks so much! Fingers crossed you get your Surprise!
@@CandaceToo Tyyy!! If I don’t get a ticket beforehand I will trade for one afterwards!
I've never been to Breyerfest. If I bought a ticket and don't go, do I still get my models? Or do I have to have someone pick them up for me? UGH! Lol
I've never been able to attend in-person either! I'd watch enviously from afar as new models were revealed and wish so much I could go, but just couldn't ever make it happen. Last year was actually my first BreyerFest (as an online attendee)! I was so happy to take part for once! This year I was lucky and found a kind, trustworthy person that I mailed all my ticket vouchers to, and she picked up my models from the park and mailed them to me.
I don't know how next year's BreyerFest will play out, but if it's run the same way this year was, the only way to get your Special Run models is if you are there in person to get them. If you can't make it, you'll need to send your in-person tickets to someone you trust so they can get your models for you.
If you buy an online ticket, you can get any of the Limited Editions from Breyer and have them shipped to you. With your online ticket, you could get a "ticket stablemate" sent to you, or a Celebration model if you get the more expensive online ticket (the Traditional Access). With the Traditional Access ticket, Breyer allotted most (all?) accounts with the option to buy one "gambler's choice" Special Run. These are the models normally reserved for in-person attendees that can only be picked up at the park. Online attendees couldn't select their Special Run; it was sent "blind bag" style.
Sooo.. if you can't go and don't have a pickup person but _do_ get an online ticket, there are still a few models available. 😊
@@CandaceToo Thank you for the information. Love your video's. You had an awesome hall this year. 😊👍
Hi cadence this is going to be my first breyer fest and I had no clue what rotating draft was and I was wondering if you would trade me for one and I have a mare and foal set
OHMYGOODNESS your _first_ BreyerFest! I'm sure you'll have so much fun! I'm envious as I don't get to go.. perhaps my first BF will be next year! I have a great pickup person that's got my tickets and will pick up my models for me. If you want to trade someone tickets, you may have luck in the facebook group called "Breyerfest ticket trade," but I imagine people will be trading vouchers (and models) at the park as well!
As far as the Surprise: nobody knows what it is until the first person opens one at BF! It will all be one mold (the shape of the horse), but come in a variety of colors. Some will be matte, and some glossy. You might even get one that's a low number (100 of that color versus 1,000), and in that case, it will be highly sought after! If you don't end up trading tickets first, you may end up really loving your Surprise horse. It'll be like opening a present. 😊 I'm really excited for the Surprise this year (that's why I got 6 of them!).
I hope you have an amazing time! Best of luck!
